Abstract
【解決手段】燃料タンクが、該燃料タンクの内部を形成するタンク壁と、バリアー層と、該バリアー層を囲む少なくとも一つの構造層と、を具備する。該タンク壁は該燃料タンクの該内部に面して、ポリアミドとポリオレフィンの混合物製の内側壁を有する。該バリアー層は該内側壁を概して囲んでいる。好ましくは、前記タンク壁は多層パリソンで形成されていて、ブロー成形で最終形状に形成されている。又、該タンク壁は、前記パリソンがブロー成形中に閉じられる領域にピンチ線を有する。又、前記内側壁では、該内側壁の一部が該内側壁の他の部分と係合され、前記パリソンが挟持されて、前記タンク壁の連続した内側層を形成して透過孔を作らないようにしている。又、接着層が前記バリアー層と前記構造層の間に設けられる。又、ダンパー層が前記内側層と前記バリアー層との間に設けられる。

プロピレンと、グラフトされているか又は共重合した不飽和単量体Xとからなる共重合体(C3)と、ポリアミド(C4)との反応で生じるポリオレフィン3〜10%
ポリプロピレンのMFIは、好ましくは0.5g/10分未満(230℃、2.16kg)であり、好ましくは0.1〜0.5である。この様な生成物は、EP647681号公報に記載されている。本発明のこの第2の形態のグラフトされている生成物は、ここに記載されている。
ポリアミド60〜70%
エチレン−アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステル−無水マレイン酸共重合体5〜15%
残りは、LLDPE、VLDPE又はメタロセン系のポリエチレンである。好ましくは、このポリエチレンの密度は、0.870〜0.925であり、MFIは、0.1〜5(190℃、2.16kg)である。
第1の変形によると、
ポリアミドと、ポリアミドブロック及びポリエーテルブロックを含有する重合体との混合物60〜70%
エチレン−アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステル−無水マレイン酸共重合体5〜15%
残りは、LLDPE、VLDPE又はメタロセン系のポリエチレンである。好ましくは、その密度は、0.870〜0.925であり、MFIは、0.1〜5(190℃、2.16kg)である。

エチレン−アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステル−無水マレイン酸共重合体と、エチレン−アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステル−グリシジルメタクリレート共重合体との混合物60〜5%
無水物を有する共重合体は、第一の様態において定義されている。エチレン−アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステル−グリシジルメタクリレート共重合体は、アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステルを40重量%まで、好ましくは5〜40%含有し、不飽和エポキシドを10重量%まで、好ましくは0.1〜8%含有し得る。好ましくは、アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステルは、(メタ)アクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸n−ブチル、アクリル酸イソブチル及びアクリル酸2−エチルヘキシルから選択される。アルキル(メタ)アクリル酸エステルの量は、好ましくは20〜35%である。MFIは好ましくは5〜100(単位g/10分、190℃、2.16kg)であり、融点は60〜110℃である。この共重合体は、単量体をラジカルで媒介される重合することによって、得られ得る。
ジメチルラウリルアミン、ジメチルステアリルアミン、N−ブチルモルホリン、N,N−ジメチルシクロヘキシルアミン、ベンジルメチルアミン、ピリジン、4−ジメチルアミノピリジン、1−メチルイミダゾール、テトラメチルエチルヒドラジン、N,N−ジメチルピペラジン、N,N,N',N'−テトラメチル−1,6−ヘキサンジアミン、ジメチルタローアミンの名前で知られている、炭素原子を16〜18含有する第3級アミンの混合物等の第3級アミン、
トリフェニルホスフィン等の第3級ホスフィン
アルキルジチオカルバメート亜鉛酸
密度0.910〜0.940のポリエチレン(D1)、並びに、エラストマー、超低密度ポリエチレン及びメタロセン系ポリエチレンから選択される重合体(D2)の混合物からそれ自身が構成される重合体(D)であって、その混合物(D1)+(D2)が不飽和カルボン酸で共グラフトされている前記重合体5〜30部
密度0.910〜0.930のポリエチレン(E)95〜70部とからなり
(D)及び(E)からなる混合物が、
その密度0.910〜0.930であり、
グラフトされた不飽和カルボン酸の含有量が30〜10000ppmであり、MFI(ASTM D1238に準拠、190℃、2.16kg)が、0.1〜3g/10分であるもの。MFIはメルトフローインデックスを表わす。
密度0.935〜0.980のポリエチレン(F1)、並びに、エラストマー、超低密度ポリエチレン及びエチレン系共重合体から選択される重合体(F2)の混合物からそれ自身が構成される重合体(F)であって、その混合物(F1)+(F2)が不飽和カルボン酸で共グラフトされている前記重合体5〜30部と、
密度0.930〜0.950のポリエチレン(G)95〜70部とからなり、
(F)及び(G)からなる混合物が、
その密度0.930〜0.950、好ましくは0.930〜0.940であり、
グラフトされた不飽和カルボン酸の含有量が30〜10000ppmであり、190℃、2.16kgでASTM D1238に準拠して測定されたMFI(メルトフローインデックス)が、5〜100であるもの。
密度が0.9以上のポリエチレン単独重合体又は共重合体(J)50〜100部
ポリプロピレン単独重合体又は共重合体(K1)、ポリ(1−ブテン)単独重合体又は共重合体(K2)及びポリスチレン単独重合体又は共重合体(K3)から選択される重合体(K)0〜50部
(J)+(K)の量が100部であり、
(J)+(K)からなる混合物が、官能性単量体少なくとも0.5重量%でグラフトされており、
このグラフトされている混合物自身が、少なくとも1つのポリエチレン単独重合体又は共重合体(L)、又は、エラストマーの性質の少なくとも1つの重合体(M)、又は(L)及び(M)の混合物中で、希釈されているようなものである。
少なくとも1つのポリエチレン又はエチレン系共重合体
ポリプロピレン又はプロピレン系共重合体、ポリ(1−ブテン)単独重合体又は共重合体、ポリスチレン単独重合体又は共重合体から選択される、少なくとも1つのポリマー、好ましくはポリプロピレンからなり、
この混合物は、官能性単量体でグラフトされており、このグラフトされている混合物自身は任意に、少なくとも1つのポリオレフィン中で、又は、エラストマーの性質の少なくとも1つの重合体中で、又は、それらの混合物中で、希釈されている。グラフトされている上記混合物において、ポリエチレンは、好ましくはこの混合物の少なくとも50重量%であり、好ましくは60〜90重量%である。
少なくとも1つのLLDPE又はVLDPEポリエチレン
エチレン−プロピレン共重合体及びエチレン−ブテン共重合体から選択される、エチレンをベースとする少なくとも1つのエラストマーからなり、
ポリエチレンとエラストマーからなるこの混合物は、不飽和カルボン酸又はこの酸の官能性誘導体でグラフトされており、
この共グラフトされている混合物は任意に、ポリエチレン単独重合体又は共重合体、及び、スチレンブロック共重合体から選択される重合体中で希釈されている、
尚、バインダーは、下記を有する。
(a)エチレン含有量が、70mol%以上
(b)カルボン酸又はその誘導体の含有量が、バインダーの0.01〜10重量%、及び、
(c)MFI10/MFI2比が、5〜20。尚、MFI2は、荷重2.16kg下、190℃で、ASTM D1238に準拠して測定された質量メルトフローインデックスであり、MFI10は、荷重10kg下、190℃で、ASTM D1238に準拠する質量メルトフローインデックスである。

下記の生成物を使用した。
EVOH D:エチレンを29mol%含有し、MFI8(210℃、2.16kg)、融点188℃、結晶化温度163℃、Tg(ガラス転位温度)62℃の、エチレン−ビニルアルコール共重合体。
ポリアミド(A)
PA1:融点が196℃であり、重量1kg下、235℃で、ASTM1238による、フローインデックスが4.4g/10分である、中程度の粘度の、コポリアミド6/6−6
PA2:融点が196℃であり、重量1kg下、235℃で、ASTM1238による、フローインデックスが6.6g/10分である、中程度の粘度の、コポリアミド6/6−6
ポリオレフィン(B2)
LLDPE:ISO1872/1による密度が0.920kg/lであり、重量2.16kg下、190℃で、ASTM1238による、フローインデックスが1g/10分である、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン
HDPE:ISO1872/1による密度が0.952kg/lであり、重量2.16kg下、190℃で、ASTM1238による、フローインデックスが0.4g/10分である、高密度ポリエチレン
ポリオレフィン(B1)
B1−1:これは、無水マレイン酸を3000ppm含有し、重量2.16kg下、190℃で、ASTM1238による、フローインデックスが1g/10分である、担体PEである。
酸化防止剤
Anti1:ヒンダードフェノール型の酸化防止剤
Anti2:ホスファイト型の第二の酸化防止剤
PA6 65部
MFIが0.9g/10分であり、かつ、密度が0.920である、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン25部
重量比で91/6/3で、MFIが5(190℃、2.16kg)の、エチレン、アクリル酸ブチル、及び、無水マレイン酸からなる共重合体10部
「バインダーの第2の例」の項に記載されているバインダーは、バインダー2a〜バインダー2dと呼ばれ、それらの詳細を、下記表2に与える。
図4に明瞭に図示したように、多層プラスチック燃料タンク50がタンク壁52を有し、タンク壁52はポリマー材料製の6層からなる。タンクの外側から始めて内側に進み、燃料タンクは好ましくはHDPE製の外側層54と、好ましくは回収又は粉砕再生材製の中間層56と、接着層58と、EVOH製のバリアー層60と、別のダンパー層62と、内側層64とを有する。内側層64は、ポリアミド、又は、ポリアミドとポリオレフィンとの混合物、又は、ORGALLOY(登録商標)のような合金である。その合金は該して前述の成分を有しても良い。同様に、そのHDPE層、粉砕再生材層、接着層、ダンパー層、EVOH層は、前述の組成でも良い。

Claims (11)
- 燃料タンクであって、
該燃料タンクの内部を形成するタンク壁と、該タンク壁は該燃料タンクの該内部に面して、ポリアミドとポリオレフィンの混合物製の内側層を有し、
該内側層を概して囲むバリアー層と、
該バリアー層を囲む少なくとも一つの構造層と、
を具備したことを特徴とする上記燃料タンク。 - 前記タンク壁は多層パリソンで形成され、最終形状にブロー成形されており、該タンク壁は、該パリソンがブロー成形中に閉じられる領域にピンチ線を有し、
前記内側層では、該内側層の一部が該内側層の他の部分と係合されて、前記パリソンが挟持されて、前記タンク壁の連続した該内側層を形成して透過孔がないようにした請求項1記載の燃料タンク。 - 接着層が前記バリアー層と前記構造層の間に設けられた請求項1記載の燃料タンク。
- ダンパー層が前記内側層と前記バリアー層との間に設けられた請求項1記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記内側層は連続した内面を有し、該内面は前記燃料タンク内の燃料と接触する請求項1記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記タンク壁は、
外側層と、
バリアー層と、
該外側層と該バリアー層と間にある接着層と、
該バリアー層と前記内側層とに間にあるダンパー層と、
を具備した請求項1記載の燃料タンク。 - 前記接着層と前記ダンパー層が同じ材料で形成された請求項6記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記外側層と前記バリアー層に間に粉砕再生材層が設けられた請求項6記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記粉砕再生材層が前記外側層と前記接着層の間に設けられた請求項8記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記粉砕再生材層がナイロンを基材としたマトリックス構造である請求項8記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記粉砕再生材層がポリエチレンを基材としたマトリックス構造である請求項8記載の燃料タンク。
