【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、シールドを有する電気コネクタに関し、特に前記シールドをアース部材に接続することにより輻射ノイズを低減することができる電気コネクタに関する。

【従来の技術】
電子機器には、外部装置と接続するために電気コネクタが装着されている。この電気コネクタは、電気コネクタから空間への輻射ノイズを低減させるために、シールドを備えており、そのシールドを電子機器のアース部材に低インピーダンスで接続する構造になっている。

従来の電気コネクタ1は、例えば図9に示すように、プラグ挿入口1aの周囲の一部が金属シールド1bで覆われており、プリント基板2に搭載された状態で、筐体3に装着される。そうして、金属シールド1bと内表面が導電性である筐体3との間に、電気的接触を確保するためのバネ特性を持たせた形状のフィンガー4を挿入して、金属シールド1bとアース側の筐体3が電気的に接続するように構成されている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述の例では、金属シールド1bと筐体3は、不安定なバネ特性を有する形状のフィンガー4を介して電気的に接続しており、金属シールド1bと筐体3の電気的接続が不安定で信頼性に欠けるという問題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記問題点を解決すべくなされたもので、請求項1記載の発明は、アース部材に電気的に接続されるシールドを有する電気コネクタにおいて、前記シールドは、前記アース部材を貫通した状態で配置され、該アース部材を貫通したシールドと該アース部材には金属接触部材が圧接するように取り付けられ、該金属接触部材を介して前記シールドと前記アース部材が電気的に接続されることを特徴とするものである。

また、請求項2記載の発明は、請求項1記載の発明において、端子が挿入された内側ハウジングと、前記内側ハウジングに囲繞するように取り付けられたシールドと、前記シールドが取り付けられた前記内側ハウジングに外嵌された外側ハウジングとを有し、前記内側ハウジングとシールドはアース部材を貫通し、環状の金属接触部材が前記内側ハウジングの貫通した先端側から前記内側ハウジングに外嵌されて、前記金属接触部材と前記外側ハウジングとで前記アース部材を挟むことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面に基づいて本発明の実施の形態を詳細に説明する。
図1は、本発明にかかる電気コネクタ11の一実施形態の構成を示す簡略化した分解斜視図である。図中、12は内側ハウジング、13は雄接続端子、14はシールド、15は外側ハウジング、16はパッキング、31は金属接触部材、41は楔、51はスペーサである。
図2(a)、(b)、(c)はそれぞれ、上記電気コネクタ11を壁体21に取り付け、シールド14とアース部材である金属製の壁体21を電気的に接続した接続構造の平面図、正面図、側面図である。また、図3(a)、(b)はそれぞれ、図2(b)のA−A断面に相当する電気コネクタ11の断面図、および図2(c)のB−B断面に相当する電気コネクタ11の断面図である。

本実施形態の電気コネクタ11は、図2に示すように、筐体の金属製の壁体21を貫通して取り付けられ、シールド14は金属接触部材31を介して壁体21に電気的に接続する。
ここで、上記電気コネクタ11について先ず説明し、次いで前記電気コネクタ11のシールド14と壁体21の接続構造について説明する。

電気コネクタ11は、図3(a)、(b)に示すように、合成樹脂からなる内側ハウジング12に合成樹脂からなる外側ハウジング15が外嵌された構造をしている。

内側ハウジング12は、図4(a)、(b)に示すように、筐体内のバスバをボルトとナットで接続するための穴13aが設けられた2本の雄端子13が挿入されている。また、内側ハウジング12には、後述の楔を挿入するための2個の貫通穴12aが設けられている。さらに、内側ハウジング12の外周面には、金属薄板からなり略四角形に曲げられたシールド14が囲繞するように取り付けられている。なお、シールド14の壁体21を貫通する側の端部表面には、雄端子13に直交する方向(取り付ける壁体21面に平行な方向)に滑り止めとなるノッチ14aが設けられている。

外側ハウジング15は、図5(a)、(b)に示すように、壁体21への取り付け側の略四角形をなす周端面に壁体21を貫通する方向に張出した張出部15aが設けられており、また、リング状の防水用パッキングを嵌め込む溝15bが設けられている。

内側ハウジング12と外側ハウジング15が嵌合した状態では、図3(a)、(b)に示すように、内側ハウジング12と外側ハウジング15は内側ハウジング12の位置決め用の凸部12bで相対的に位置決めされて、内側ハウジング12は外側ハウジング15の壁体21への取り付け側の端部から突出するように位置しており、シールド14の端部および貫通穴12aは外側ハウジング15の外側に位置している。また、外側ハウジング15の溝15bにはパッキング16が嵌め込まれている。

金属接触部材31は、図6に示すように、前記内側ハウジング12に外嵌するように形成された環状の金属板部材であって、略四角形をした内周縁には内側方向に張り出した10個の爪状の張出部31aが対向するように設けられている。

本実施形態の電気コネクタ11のシールド14とアース部材である壁体21の接続構造は、以下のように形成する。即ち、
1)図2(a)、(b)に示すように、電気コネクタ11の内側ハウジング12の外側ハウジング15より突出した部分を壁体21の左側(筐体の外側)から壁体21の貫通穴(図示されず)に貫通させ、外側ハウジング15の周端部を壁体21面に当接させて、張出部15aを壁体21の右側(筐体の内側)に突出させる。

2)次いで、金属接触部材31を壁体21の右側から内側ハウジング12に外嵌して、壁体21面に面接触するまで押し込み、図2(c)に示すように、外側ハウジング15の張出部15aの外側に嵌め込んで保持する。この状態で、金属接触部材31の10個の張出部31aは自らのバネ性で、シールド14に圧接する。
なお、金属接触部材31の対向する張出部31aの間隔L1 、L2 (図6参照)はそれぞれ、シールド14が形成する略四角形の対向する二辺の間隔D1 、D2 (図4(b)参照)よりも若干小さくなっている。したがって、金属接触部材31を内側ハウジング12に外嵌して押し込む際には、張出部31aは撓みながらシールド14のノッチ14aを引っ掻くように擦り、シールド14に圧接する。

3)次いで、図7に示したコ字状の楔41と図8に示したコ字状のスペーサ51を用いて金属接触部材31を壁体21に押圧する。
即ち、先ずスペーサ51の脚部51aを内側ハウジング12の貫通穴12aに差し込み、次いで楔41の脚部41aを金属接触部材31とスペーサ51の間に押し込んで貫通穴12aに差し込む。この状態で、図2(b)に示すように、楔41は頭部41bと脚部41aで金属接触部材31を壁体21に確実に押圧するとともに、壁体21を外側ハウジング15の周端部に押圧し、電気コネクタ11と金属接触部材31は壁体21を挟むように取り付けられる。

上述のように取り付けられた金属接触部材31は、壁体21に押圧されて電気的に接続するとともに、張出部31aでシールド14のノッチ14aに滑ることなく圧接して、シールド14に確実に電気的に接続し、壁体21とシールド14は金属接触部材31を介して電気的に接続している。また、外側ハウジング15の周端部は、図3(a)、(b)に示すように、溝15bに嵌め込まれたパッキング16を介して壁体21の左面(筐体の外側)に押圧されているので、電気コネクタ11を防水可能に壁体21に取り付けることができる。

本実施形態の電気コネクタ11が従来例と異なる特徴的なことは、シールド14が、壁体21を貫通した状態で配置され、壁体21を貫通したシールド14と壁体21には金属接触部材31が圧接するように取り付けられることである。したがって、電気コネクタ11のシールド14とアース部材である壁体21を金属接触部材31を介して電気的に信頼性よく接続することができる。

なお、上記実施形態は本発明を具体化した一例であって、本願発明の技術的範囲を限定するものではない。例えば、金属接触部材を壁体へ押圧して固定する手段は、スペーサと楔を用いることなく、壁体の厚さが厚い場合には楔だけでもよい。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように、請求項1記載の発明によれば、金属接触部材がアース部材を貫通した電気コネクタのシールドとアース部材に圧接して確実に電気的に接続するので、電気コネクタのシールドをアース部材に電気的に信頼性よく接続し、電気コネクタ周辺からのノイズの発生を抑制することができるという優れた効果がある。
また、請求項2記載の発明によれば、環状の金属接触部材が前記内側ハウジングの貫通した先端側から前記内側ハウジングに外嵌されているため、金属接触部材は電気コネクタのシールドとアース部材により確実に電気的に接続することができるという優れた効果がある。
さらに、請求項3記載の発明によれば、前記外側ハウジングと前記アース部材の間に防水用パッキングを介在させて、前記金属接触部材と前記外側ハウジングとで前記アース部材を挟むため、電気コネクタを防水可能にアース部材に取り付けることができるという優れた効果がある。
