【発明の実施の形態】
図中1は重量50〜55gの飲料水用のボトルで、射出成形したポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)のプリフォームを、延伸ブロー成形して製造した胴部2が薄肉のものからなる。この胴部2は前後壁3が両側壁4よりも15〜20%ほど幅広の平断面形状が長方形の角筒形で、四方の隅部5を斜面に隅取り形成した周壁に、該周壁を上下部2a,2bに区画する環状リブ6を連続して凹設したものからなる。
