この表面硬さは、例えばHRC(ロックウェルC硬さ)58〜62である。
【0049】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a polishing method for polishing a plurality of thread grooves connected by a ball circulation groove that sinks a ball into an inner diameter side of a screw shaft and returns the ball from a downstream side to an upstream side.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the ball screw device, even when the screw shaft and the nut member expand and contract, it is necessary to prevent the ball group that rolls on each screw groove formed therein from being pulled out. For this reason, there is a technique in which both ends of a ball passage formed by a screw groove of a screw shaft and a screw groove of a nut member are connected and connected to form a closed loop, and a ball group is rolled and circulated in the closed loop.
[0003]
As described above, a return tube (for example, see Patent Literature 1) and a circulation top (for example, see Patent Literature 2) are used to roll and circulate the balls in a closed loop.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above-mentioned conventional ball screw device, a special member such as a return tube and a circulation top is provided in order to roll and circulate the balls in a closed loop.
[0006]
For this reason, it is conceivable that the number of parts increases or, in some cases, the manufacturing cost increases.
[0007]
Therefore, by sinking the ball on the inner diameter side of the screw shaft and connecting it with a ball circulation groove that returns from the downstream side to the upstream side, the screw groove is made a closed loop, and the ball is circulated in this closed loop, Techniques have been proposed in which the increase in points is suppressed and the manufacturing cost is suppressed.
[0008]
However, when a plurality of such screw grooves are provided on the screw shaft, it is troublesome to grind each of the screw grooves.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, a screw shaft and a nut member concentrically arranged on the screw shaft are provided so as to be relatively rotatable about the axis and relatively movable in the axial direction, and are continuous with the inner peripheral surface of the nut member. A screw groove is formed, and a plurality of screw grooves having a circumferential length less than one circumference of the screw shaft and having the same lead angle are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the screw shaft so as to be spaced apart in the axial direction. The grooves are connected by a ball circulation groove formed on the screw shaft so that the upstream and downstream in the ball rolling direction are continuous, and with the operation of the screw shaft and the nut member relatively rotating around the axis. In a ball screw device in which a ball on the downstream side sinks into the inner diameter side along the ball circulation groove so as to climb over the thread of the nut member and is returned to the upstream side, a polishing method for polishing the screw groove of the screw shaft. is there.
[0010]
This polishing method is such that a straight line connecting the connection points between the respective screw grooves and the ball circulation grooves connected thereto is inclined by the lead angle of the screw grooves with respect to the axial direction of the screw shaft, In a state where the axial projection areas of the screw grooves are arranged so as to be shifted from each other in the circumferential direction, a plurality of rotating shafts mounted on the rotating shaft inclined by the lead angle with respect to the axial direction on the respective raceway surfaces of the screw grooves. The polishing tool is brought into contact with and rotated.
[0011]
As described above, the rotating shaft on which the polishing tool is mounted is inclined with respect to the axial direction by the lead angle of the screw groove, and each of the polishing tools mounted on the rotating shaft is brought into contact with the raceway surface of each screw groove. By polishing, a plurality of screw grooves can be polished at the same time, and the manufacturing process is simplified as compared with the case where each screw groove is polished one by one, and the manufacturing cost of the screw shaft can be reduced.
[0012]
