【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a passive component including a laminated dielectric filter and the like constituting a resonance circuit in a microwave band of several hundred MHz to several GHz, and to a passive component capable of effectively reducing the size of communication equipment and electronic equipment. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
Recently, ICs have been highly integrated, and the size of the ICs themselves has been rapidly reduced. Along with this, passive components such as filters used around the IC have also been reduced in size. In addition, a laminated dielectric filter using a dielectric substrate is effective for reducing the size of passive components (for example, see

JP 2002-280805 A (FIGS. 1 and 9)
[Patent Document 2]
JP-A-2002-261463 (FIG. 1, paragraph [0021])
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, one filter is used for each of the transmitting side and the receiving side. In the wireless LAN, dual systems of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz have been developed. In this case, at least four filters are used in total.
[0005]
In such a case, at present, the space saving of the mounting area for the passive components cannot keep up with the integration and miniaturization of the IC. This is because conventional multilayer dielectric filters and the like have been miniaturized, but require a ground terminal in addition to input / output terminals for each passive component, and maintain strength during mounting. This is because there is a limit in reducing the size of the terminal. Therefore, the terminal pitch of the passive component is much larger than the terminal pitch of the IC.
[0006]
Further, each passive component requires a certain mounting area (generally, about 1.5 times the projected area of the component), and there is a problem that mounting of the passive component cannot be integrated. Therefore, if the mounting area including the IC and the passive components is reduced due to the miniaturization of the communication device and the like, the arrangement and wiring of the IC and the passive component become difficult, and the miniaturization of the communication device and the like is limited. Occurs.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in consideration of such problems, and it is possible to reduce the number of passive components mounted on an electronic device, a communication device, and the like, and to reduce the terminal pitch of the passive components, It is an object of the present invention to provide a passive component capable of reducing the number of terminals and realizing space saving of the entire mounting area of the passive component.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The passive component according to the present invention has a plurality of passive units in a dielectric substrate formed by stacking a plurality of dielectric layers, and a plurality of electrodes in each passive unit and / or between each passive unit. It is characterized by being shared.
[0009]
As a result, a plurality of passive units are formed in one dielectric substrate and are composited, so that the mounting area can be made smaller than in the case where the plurality of passive units are individually mounted. .
[0010]
Moreover, since a plurality of electrodes are shared in each passive unit and / or between each passive unit, the number of terminals derived from the laminated dielectric filter can be effectively reduced, and accordingly, the Can also be narrowed. In this case, a plurality of electrodes to which a common fixed potential is applied in each passive unit and / or between each passive unit may be shared, or may be shared and formed on the surface of the dielectric substrate. May be connected to the common terminal.
[0011]
As described above, in the passive component according to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the number of components of the passive element mounted on an electronic device, a communication device, and the like, to reduce the terminal pitch of the passive element and to reduce the number of terminals. , As well as space saving of the entire mounting area of the passive element.
[0012]
As the passive unit, a filter unit having a plurality of resonators may be provided, or an unbalanced-balanced conversion unit having a strip line may be provided.
[0013]
Further, the passive unit may include an unbalanced input / output type filter unit having a plurality of resonators and an unbalanced-balanced conversion unit having a strip line.
[0014]
Thus, each filter unit can be configured by a quarter-wavelength resonator that is advantageous for miniaturization. By integrating, it is not necessary to set the characteristic impedance between the filter unit and the unbalanced-balanced conversion unit to a specific value (for example, 50Ω), and the characteristic impedance between both can be arbitrarily determined. Design flexibility can be increased.
[0015]
In addition, since the characteristic impedance between the two can be set low, it is easy to form the filter unit, and the line width of the strip line constituting the unbalanced-balanced conversion unit can be increased. There is an effect that the loss of the part can be reduced.
[0016]
That is, in this configuration, downsizing can be effectively achieved while achieving balanced input / output in consideration of connection of a high-frequency amplifier circuit or the like.
[0017]
In the above configuration, an isolation unit may be interposed between the plurality of passive units. This makes it possible to improve the isolation between a plurality of passive units combined in one dielectric substrate, and to improve the characteristics. As the isolation means, for example, there is a method of shielding the passive portion with a via hole or a method of shielding with an air layer.
[0018]
In the above configuration, when the dielectric substrate has at least first and second passive units, and each passive unit includes a filter unit having one or more resonators, the first passive unit may be used. The short-circuited end of the resonance electrode forming the resonator of the portion and the short-circuited end of the resonance electrode forming the resonator of the second passive portion may be shared.
[0019]
In this case, the first and second filters can be efficiently arranged in one dielectric substrate, and the isolation between the filter portions can be improved at the short-circuited ends of the resonance electrodes. Ease of manufacture and miniaturization of passive components can be achieved.
