わが国の電力量計の封印は、計量法にしたがって施行されており、日本電気計器検定所で行われる検定封印と電力量計を需要家に取り付け配線等を終了した時に行う電力封印とがある。

前記第1のカバーに設けた前記電力測定部を封印する封印ネジと封印キャップとから成る検定封印部と、
前記第2のカバーに設けた記端子ボックスを封印する封印ネジと封印キャップとから成る電力封印部とを
備え、
前記検定封印部の形状を前記封印キャップと嵌合する凹形状とし、前記電力測定部を、前記第1のカバー表面から前記封印ネジによって前記端子ボックスに締め付け、封印キャップを被せて検定封印し、前記第2のカバーに設けた電力封印部の形状を前記封印キャップと嵌合する凹形状とし、前記第2のカバーの表面から前記封印ネジによって前記端子ボックスに締め付け、封印キャップを被せて電力封印し、前記検定封部、前記電力封印部が前記第1のカバー及び第2のカバー表面から突出しないようにしたことを特徴とする電力量計。
