この発明は、タイヤビード部の構造及びそのタイヤビード部を備えた空気入りタイヤにかかわり、更に詳しくは重荷重空気入りラジアルタイヤのタイヤビード部内側のトウ部に位置するタイヤビード部の跳ね上がりを防止すると共に、タイヤビード部の生産性の向上とビード部の安定性及び耐久性を向上させたタイヤビード部の構造及びそのタイヤビード部を備えた空気入りタイヤに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、重荷重空気入りラジアルタイヤのタイヤビード部の構造としては、例えば、図4に示すように、カーカスプライ11を、トレッド部からサイドウォール部を経てビード部12まで延在させ、その各端末部域をビード部12に埋設した六角ビード13の廻りでタイヤの内側から外側へ巻き返して埋設し、固定する方法が一般的である。

ところで、タイヤビード部における耐久性を改善してリムずれや、へたり、或いはカーカスプライ巻き返し部分でのセパレーションの発生等を回避させるために、近年ではビードコアとサブビードコアとを二分割し、タイヤビード部外側のヒール部とタイヤビード部内側のトウ部に配設したものが知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

然しながら、このような従来のタイヤビード部の構造は、タイヤビード部外側のヒール部のビードコアと、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部のサブビードコアとをそれぞれ別途に埋設させて剛性を持たせる構造になっているため、組立工数も多く、生産性の向上を図ることが出来ないばかりか、安価に製作できないと言う問題があった。

この発明はかかる従来の問題点に着目し、ビードコアの生産性を向上させることが出来ると共に、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部の跳ね上がり防止させ、タイヤビード部の安定性及び耐久性を向上させることが出来るタイヤビード部の構造及びそのタイヤビード部を備えた空気入りタイヤを提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は上記目的を達成するため、この発明のタイヤビード部の構造は、一本のビードワイヤーを連続的に巻付けてリング状のビードコアに形成したタイヤビード部の構造であって、前記ビードコアを、タイヤビード部外側のヒール部に位置するコア本体と、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部に位置する突起部とを一体的に形成したことを要旨とするものである。

ここで、前記ビードコアの断面形状は、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部に向かって末広がりとなるように形成するものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、添付図面に基づき、この発明の実施形態を説明する。

図1は、この発明を実施した重荷重用の空気入りラジアルタイヤの半断面図を示し、この空気入りラジアルタイヤ1は、少なくとも一枚以上のカーカスプライ2を、トレッド部3からサイドウォール部4を経てタイヤビード部5に埋設したビードコア6の廻りで巻き返した構成となっている。なお、7はタイヤビード部5に装着したタイヤリムを示している。

前記タイヤビード部5に埋設したビードコア6は、図2に示すように、タイヤビード部外側のヒール部8aに位置するコア本体6aと、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部8bに位置する突起部6bとを一本のビードワイヤーにより一体的に形成してある。

即ち、この実施形態では、ヒール部8aに位置する大きい山形状のコア本体6aと、これに連続してトウ部8bに位置する小さい山形状の突起部6bとを一本のゴム引きしたビードワイヤーによりリング状に巻付けながら1回の工程で製造するものである。

ビードワイヤーの巻付け工程としては、図2の巻付け線図Xに示すように、ビードコア6の裾部となる一端Sa側から巻付けを開始し、順次積層させて大小2山のコア本体6aと突起部6bとを連続的、かつ一体的に製造するので、ビードワイヤーの端末部Sa,Sbは2箇所しか存在しないビードコア6とすることが出来るものである。

なお、ビードコア6の断面形状としては、上記の実施形態に限定されず、例えば、図3に示すようなタイヤビード部内側のトウ部8bに向かって末広がりとなるように略三角形状や、また図示しないが略台形状等、種々の形態が考えられるものである。

また、この発明のタイヤビード部5を備えた空気入りタイヤは、タイヤビード部5に、タイヤビード部外側のヒール部8aに位置するコア本体6aと、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部8bに位置する突起部6bとを一本のビードワイヤーにより一体的に形成したビードコア6を埋設してあるので、タイヤビード部5の安定性及び耐久性を向上させることが出来、重荷重用の空気入りラジアルタイヤの耐久性も向上させることが出来るものである。

この発明は、上記のように一本のビードワイヤーを連続的に巻付けてリング状のビードコアに形成したタイヤビード部の構造であって、前記ビードコアを、タイヤビード部外側のヒール部に位置するコア本体と、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部に位置する突起部とを一体的に形成したので、ビードコアの生産性を向上させることが出来ると共に、タイヤビード部内側のトウ部の跳ね上がり防止させることが出来る効果がある。
