Q=R(C−Ceq)・・・(a)

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a droplet discharge device that discharges a solution droplet, an electro-optical device, an electronic apparatus, a method of manufacturing an electro-optical device using the droplet discharge device, and a method of suppressing drying of a droplet discharge head.
[0002]
[Prior art]
At present, for example, an ink-jet apparatus that forms a desired conductive film pattern by attaching a solution droplet containing a conductive solute to a substrate is used. The ink jet head of this ink jet device is provided with a solution filling section filled with a solution and a discharge pipe for guiding the solution from the solution filling section. These solution droplets are obtained by separating the solution guided to the discharge pipe near the discharge port at the tip by compression or expansion of the solution filling section by the piezoelectric element. The inside of the discharge pipe is always exposed to the atmosphere in which the solution droplets are discharged when the solution droplet discharging operation is not performed. The solution adhering to the inside of the discharge tube hardly dries when the discharge operation is continuously performed within a certain period of time, but on the other hand, as the non-discharge time becomes longer, the drying proceeds. As the drying of the solution progresses, solutes in the solution adhere to the discharge tube, which narrows the discharge tube and changes the volume of the desired solution droplet to be discharged, or the solution droplet should be discharged. There was a problem that the direction was changed.
[0003]
In order to solve such a problem, a flushing technique of performing preliminary discharge has been proposed in order to suppress drying of a solution attached to the inside of the discharge pipe (for example, Patent Document 1). In

However, in the inkjet apparatus disclosed in
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object thereof is to use a droplet discharge device, an electro-optical device, an electronic device, and a droplet discharge device having a mechanism for suppressing drying of a solution of a droplet discharge head. An object of the present invention is to provide a method of manufacturing an electro-optical device and a method of suppressing drying of a droplet discharge head.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
(1) In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a droplet discharge device according to the present invention includes a droplet discharge head that discharges a solution droplet, and a cooling unit that cools the droplet discharge head.
As a result, the droplet discharge apparatus of the present invention suppresses evaporation of the solution at the interface where the atmosphere in which the solution droplets are discharged and the solution attached to the inside of the droplet discharge head are in contact, and the solution of the droplet discharge head is dried. Can be suppressed.
[0008]
(2) Further, the droplet discharge apparatus of the present invention has a liquid droplet discharge head for discharging a solution droplet, a holding means for holding a target medium to which the discharged solution droplet is applied, And a heating means for heating the holding means so that the temperature becomes high.
In the droplet discharge device of the present invention, by heating the holding means, the evaporation of the solution droplets attached to the target medium is promoted, and the vapor is raised to enclose the droplet discharge head. Accordingly, the droplet discharge device of the present invention reduces the difference in weight concentration between solvent molecules in each solution at the interface where the atmosphere from which the solution droplets are discharged and the solution attached to the droplet discharge head are in contact with each other. Of the droplet discharge head, and the drying of the solution in the droplet discharge head can be suppressed.
[0009]
(3) The droplet discharge device of the present invention includes a droplet discharge head that discharges a solution droplet, a cooling unit that cools the droplet discharge head, and a solution droplet that is discharged from the droplet discharge head. And a heating means for heating the holding means.
Thus, the droplet discharge device of the present invention suppresses the evaporation of the solvent in the solution by cooling at the interface where the atmosphere from which the solution droplets are discharged and the solution attached to the droplet discharge head are in contact with each other. The heating of the holding means promotes the evaporation of the solution droplets attached to the target medium, raises the vapor and wraps the droplet discharge head, thereby reducing the weight concentration difference between the solvent molecules at the interface. It is possible to suppress the movement of the solvent and the drying of the solution in the droplet discharge head.
[0010]
(4) Further, according to the present invention, in the droplet discharge device according to any one of (1) to (3), the droplet discharge head has a discharge port for discharging a solution droplet, and is filled with a solvent. It has a solvent filling means, a solvent evaporating means for evaporating the solvent of the solvent filling means, and a deriving means for guiding the solvent evaporated by the solvent evaporating means to the discharge port.
As described above, the droplet discharge device of the present invention supplies the solvent vapor near the interface where the solution and the atmosphere where the solution droplet is discharged come into contact with the solution, and removes the solution attached to the discharge port of the droplet discharge head. Drying can be suppressed.
[0011]
(5) Further, according to the present invention, in the droplet discharge device according to the above (1), (3) or (4), a temperature measuring means for measuring the temperature of the droplet discharge head, and the measured temperature Is determined to be within a temperature range indicating normal, if the determination is negative and below the temperature range, the cooling by the cooling means is suppressed, and the determination is negative And control means for promoting cooling by the cooling means when the temperature exceeds the temperature range.
In this way, by changing the cooling intensity of the cooling means according to the temperature measured from the droplet discharge head, it is possible to prevent the unexpected evaporation of the solution due to the temperature rise of the droplet discharge head.
[0012]
(6) Further, according to the present invention, in the droplet discharge device according to any one of the above (2) to (4), a temperature measuring means for measuring a temperature of the holding means; It is determined whether or not the temperature is within the indicated temperature range, and if the determination is negative and the temperature falls below the temperature range, the heating by the heating means is promoted, and the determination is negative and A control unit that suppresses heating by the heating unit when the temperature exceeds the temperature range.
As described above, by changing the heating intensity of the heating unit according to the temperature measured from the holding unit, an unexpectedly high temperature of the holding unit and an atmosphere having heat different from the intended one may be generated. Can be prevented beforehand.
[0013]
(7) Further, in the droplet discharge device of the present invention, the application of the droplet discharge device according to any one of (1) to (6) above is for discharging a printing solution for printing and forming a conductive wire pattern. Of a conductive solution for discharge, a discharge of a filter solution for forming a liquid crystal material or a color filter in a display device, a discharge of an EL material solution for forming an EL (Electroluminescence) layer, and a formation of a resist solution for forming a resist layer. The method is characterized by discharging, discharging a biochemical solution containing a biochemical substance, or discharging a solution of a light transmitting material for forming a microlens array.
The droplet discharge apparatus of the present invention can be used for a conductive solution, a liquid crystal material solution, a filter solution, an EL material solution, a resist solution, a biochemical solution, or a solution for forming a microlens array. The effect of suppressing the drying of the solution in the droplet discharge head can be obtained.
