Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a power control device for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a power control device for a vehicle having a boost type bidirectional orthogonal transform circuit for driving a rotating electric machine for traveling.
[0002]
Problems to be solved by the prior art and the invention
In a conventional hybrid vehicle or fuel cell vehicle, a rotating electric machine (hereinafter, also referred to as a running rotating electric machine) that performs engine start, torque assist, regenerative braking, and the like is used. As this kind of rotating electric machine for traveling, it is usual to use an AC rotating electric machine, particularly a synchronous machine, which has a simple structure, is excellent in durability, and has little loss.
[0003]
It is well known that in order to drive an AC rotating electric machine, particularly a synchronous machine by a DC power supply such as a battery or a fuel cell, it is necessary to interpose an orthogonal transformation circuit between the DC power supply and the synchronous machine (that is, the rotating electric machine for traveling). Matters.
[0004]
As examples of the orthogonal transform circuit,
[0005]
More specifically, in
[0006]
Note that, in a vehicle power device using the above-described traveling rotary electric machine and the step-up type orthogonal transform circuit, it is general that the driving rotary electric machine is generated and driven to recover regenerative power to a DC power supply during vehicle braking, In this case, the DC-DC converter circuit and the inverter circuit are generally configured to be capable of bidirectional power transfer.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the traveling of the vehicle has a number of traveling states as described below, and the traveling rotating electrical machine has a number of operation modes according to these traveling states. For example, during normal driving or high-speed cruising, a rotating electric machine for driving that generates running power is electrically operated at high speed and low torque, and is electrically operated at low speed and large torque when climbing a hill or when starting an engine or at the start of an intersection. The regenerative braking operation is performed at the time of descending or braking.
[0009]
That is, from the state of generation of load power required by the rotating electric machine for traveling, a wide range from a state of generating large electric power to a state of generating small electric power which is almost zero and further a state of generating electric power in which current flows in the opposite direction. To fluctuate. In addition, from the viewpoint of the rotational speed of the rotating electric machine for traveling, it changes over a wide range from a high-speed rotation state to a low-speed rotation state near zero. That is, as a necessary condition specific to the rotating electric machine for traveling, it is necessary to cope with such a large fluctuation in the rotation speed and the electric power.
[0010]
However, in the step-up orthogonal transform circuit described in
[0011]
On the other hand, in the step-up orthogonal transform circuit described in
[0012]
However, as described above, the rotating electric machine for traveling may be operated at a low speed and a large torque at the time of climbing a hill, at the time of starting an engine, at the time of starting at an intersection, and the like. When the operation of the step-up DC-DC converter circuit is stopped in several states, the DC voltage applied to the inverter circuit decreases, and as a result, the current flowing through the traveling rotating electric machine decreases, and the required torque is reduced. There is a problem that can not occur.
[0013]
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle power control device capable of reducing a loss while favorably coping with various operation modes required by various types of rotating electric machines for traveling. The purpose is.
[0014]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The vehicle power control device of the first invention is an AC-driven traveling rotating electric machine that is mounted on a vehicle and generates and recovers traveling power, and performs bidirectional power transfer between a DC power supply and the traveling rotating electric machine. A bidirectional orthogonal transformation circuit, and a control device that controls the power transfer by controlling the bidirectional orthogonal transformation circuit in accordance with the driving operation of the vehicle, wherein the bidirectional orthogonal transformation circuit is configured to drive the rotating electric machine. And a DC-DC converter circuit for applying an AC voltage to the rotating electric machine to drive the traveling rotating electric machine, and a DC-DC converter circuit for increasing an applied voltage from the DC power supply to a predetermined voltage and applying the voltage to the inverter circuit. In the power control device,
The control device sets the boosted voltage based on information that is input or calculated and related to the power consumption of the traveling rotating electrical machine. As a result, it is possible to realize a vehicle power control device capable of reducing loss while favorably coping with various operation modes of the rotating electric machine for traveling.
[0015]
That is, according to the present invention, when driving the rotating electric machine for driving with a small torque, the step-up ratio of the DC-DC converter circuit is decreased, and the decrease in the step-up ratio causes a decrease in the power supply voltage of the inverter circuit. Since the decrease in the motor current due to the decrease in the voltage is compensated by the increase in the PWM duty ratio of the inverter circuit, no problem occurs in the motor operation.
[0016]
Due to the decrease in the power supply voltage supplied to the inverter circuit, a reduction in switching loss that occurs when the power switching element in the inverter circuit switches can be realized.
[0017]
In a preferred aspect, the control device sets a boosted voltage lower than a current boosted voltage when the control device determines that power consumption of the traveling rotating electrical machine is reduced from the present based on an accelerator pedal depression amount input as the information. I do.
[0018]
When a large torque is required, such as when accelerating, climbing a hill, or starting a vehicle, the accelerator pedal depression amount increases. When the accelerator pedal depression amount is large, the output current of the inverter circuit is increased by boosting the voltage of the traveling rotating electric machine. The output torque can be sufficiently ensured, and when the accelerator depression amount is small, that is, when the required current is small, the output voltage of the DC-DC converter circuit can be reduced to reduce the loss of the inverter circuit. . In this way, the loss during small torque operation can be reduced with a simple circuit configuration.
[0019]
In a preferred aspect, based on information related to the power consumption of the traveling rotating electric machine that is input or calculated, the control device is configured to perform DC- The DC-DC converter circuit is stopped within a range where a decrease in current due to the stoppage of the DC converter circuit can be compensated for by an increase in the PWM duty ratio of the inverter circuit. In this way, the loss during small torque operation can be minimized.
[0020]
In a preferred aspect, even when it is not required to generate a larger power consumption of the traveling rotating electric machine than at present, the control device controls the rotation of the traveling rotating electric machine if the rotation speed is equal to or more than a predetermined value. The step-up ratio is increased as compared with the case where the number is less than the predetermined value.
[0021]
According to this configuration, when the rotational speed of the rotating electric machine for traveling is extremely high, such as during high-speed traveling, and when the back electromotive force of the rotating electric machine for traveling is large, a reduction in the step-up ratio is suppressed. The required torque can be generated by flowing to the electric machine.
In a preferred aspect, the control device stores, in advance, data relating to the input required torque value and required rotation value, the data, the boost ratio of the bidirectional orthogonal transform circuit, and the efficiency of the bidirectional orthogonal transform circuit. And the relationship between the efficiency of the traveling rotating electric machine and the efficiency of the DC-DC converter circuit, and the boost ratio is determined so that the overall efficiency is minimized. Note that the overall efficiency here means a product of the efficiency of the bidirectional orthogonal transform circuit and the efficiency of the rotating electric machine for traveling, or a product obtained by multiplying the product by another efficiency.
[0022]
That is, in the present invention, the boost ratio is determined so that the loss of the entire system is minimized in the input torque and the number of revolutions. At this time, the step-up ratio is reduced within a range where the duty ratio (average duty ratio) of the inverter circuit for compensating the step-up ratio can be increased. In this way, it is possible to control the traveling rotary electric machine with high efficiency by reducing the loss of the entire system.
[0023]
A power control device for a vehicle according to a second aspect of the invention is an AC-driven traveling rotating electric machine that is mounted on a vehicle to generate and recover traveling power, and performs bidirectional power transfer between a DC power supply and the traveling rotating electric machine. And a DC-DC converter circuit that boosts an applied voltage from the DC power supply and applies the applied voltage to the inverter circuit. ,
The bidirectional orthogonal transform circuit has a plurality of the inverter circuits that are individually supplied with the AC voltage to the different rotating electric machines that are supplied with power from the single DC-DC converter circuit, and the control device includes: The step-up ratio of the DC-DC converter circuit is determined in accordance with the highest required voltage by comparing information on the amount of power consumption for each traveling rotary electric machine.
[0024]
That is, the present invention is applied to, for example, a case where two driving rotary electric machines are individually driven and controlled by different inverter circuits. According to the present invention, since each inverter circuit is supplied with power from a common DC-DC converter circuit, the circuit configuration can be simplified, and the boost voltage is set in accordance with the motor having the highest required voltage. Without inviting, the loss of the orthogonal transform circuit can be reduced.
