【0016】
F=(Te×Gt×Gf×R)−Fb
【0019】
ΔT=M(Vo −V)/F
【0027】
Ea=Ra×Ia+Eb,Ia=(Ea−Eb)/Ra
【0031】
Ec=Ea−[Rb×{(Ea−Eb)/Ra}+Ic]
【0036】
Ib=[(Ea−Eb)/Ra]

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an engine starter, and more particularly, to an improvement of a starter having a function of diagnosing an abnormality in a rotation transmission device that connects a motor for starting and an engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art As an engine starter, there is known an engine starter as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H11-163,837. This is applied to a hybrid vehicle or the like in which the start and stop of the engine are frequently repeated, and the start is transmitted by transmitting the rotation of a starter motor to the engine by a belt. In this type of starting device, high reliability is required because it is necessary to quickly restart the stopped engine during the operation of the vehicle. For this reason, in the above-mentioned conventional apparatus, the abnormality of the belt is detected from the difference in the number of revolutions between the starter motor and the engine.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-165019
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, in the conventional device, it is necessary to provide a rotation speed sensor not only in the engine but also in the starter motor in order to detect the rotation speed difference, which complicates the device and increases the cost.
[0005]
Summary of the Invention
The present invention includes a motor that supplies a starting torque to an engine, a rotation transmission device that transmits rotation of the motor to the engine, a power supply that supplies power to the motor, and a start control device that controls power supply from the power supply to the motor. The engine starter diagnoses whether or not the rotation transmission device is abnormal based on the electric characteristics between the motor and the power supply when power is supplied to the motor during operation of the engine.
[0006]
In the configuration, for example, the presence or absence of occurrence of an abnormality can be determined by detecting a power supply voltage or a current amount at the time of power supply as the electrical characteristic and comparing the power supply voltage or the current amount with a determination reference value.
[0007]
According to the present invention, since the abnormality of the rotation transmission device is determined based on the electric characteristics between the motor and the power supply when the power is supplied to the motor during the operation of the engine, the cost of the rotation sensor and the like is high. It is possible to diagnose the presence or absence of an abnormality such as a broken belt without using a simple device.
[0008]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a mechanical configuration of a vehicle system including an engine automatic / stop control device to which the present invention is applied.

FIG. 2 shows a processing procedure of the engine automatic stop / restart control and diagnosis executed by the control unit 4. 3 and 4 show timing charts when the above-described processing procedure is executed. FIG. 3 shows a state at the time of normal judgment, and FIG. 4 shows a state at the time of abnormal judgment.
[0014]
In this process, assuming a so-called idle stop vehicle that automatically stops the engine when the vehicle stops during operation and automatically starts the engine when starting from that state, during the operation of the engine during the idle stop control, The stop time is predicted and abnormality determination such as belt cutting is performed in advance. In the drawings and the following description, reference symbol S is a processing step number.
[0015]
In FIG. 2, first, the state of the ignition switch 16 is determined in S10, and S20 and the subsequent steps are executed at regular intervals on condition that the ignition switch 16 is ON and the engine is operating. At S20, S30, and S40, the accelerator operation amount Qa, the brake operation amount Fba, and the vehicle speed Vs are respectively detected, and at S50, the driving force F is calculated based on the detection result. The following equation 1 is an example of an arithmetic expression for this purpose.
[0016]
(Equation 1)
F = (Te × Gt × Gf × R) −Fb
However, Te: engine torque
Gt: Transmission gear ratio
Gf: Final gear ratio
R: Tire radius
Fb: Brake braking force.
[0017]
The engine torque Te is a function of the engine speed obtained from the relationship between the total reduction ratio Gt × Gf of the vehicle drive system, the tire radius R, and the vehicle speed Vs, and the accelerator operation amount Qa, and the brake braking force Fb is the brake operation amount Fba Can be determined as a function of Instead of calculating the above relationship, the driving force F may be obtained by searching a map formed in advance so as to give the driving force using the respective detected amounts as parameters. In the control during deceleration, assuming that the accelerator operation amount is always zero, the engine torque Te can be expressed as a function of only the rotation speed.
[0018]
Next, in S60, a time ΔT from the current time until the vehicle decelerates and stops is estimated using the driving force F and the vehicle speed V. The following
[0019]
[Equation 2]
ΔT = M (Vo−V) / F
Where M is the vehicle mass
Vo: Target vehicle speed (= 0km / h)
V: Current vehicle speed.
[0020]
The target vehicle speed Vo is Vo = 0 since the time until the stop is obtained here. ΔT can also be obtained by a map search.
[0021]
Here, the term of M (Vo−V) in the
[0022]
Next, in S70, it is determined whether or not the estimated time ΔT until the stop is equal to or less than a predetermined time. As the predetermined time, a value obtained by adding a required margin time to a time required for the control unit 4 to complete the diagnosis of the rotation transmission device 5 is set. The processes in S20 to S70 are repeated until the time reaches a predetermined time or less.
[0023]
As described above, by setting a value obtained by adding a predetermined margin time to the time required for the control unit 4 to complete the diagnosis of the rotation transmission device 5 as the predetermined time, as a result of the diagnosis, the rotation transmission device 5 is normal. In addition, when the idle stop condition is satisfied, the engine can be stopped earlier, so that the period during which the engine 1 can be stopped can be extended. Further, by setting the predetermined time as described above, the diagnosis of the rotation transmission device 5 is performed when there is a high possibility that the vehicle will be stopped (vehicle speed = 0 km / h) in the future. Therefore, the power consumption of the

[0025]
If the battery voltage is equal to or lower than the determination voltage in the determination of S100, it is determined that an abnormality such as a belt break has occurred (points (3)-(5) in FIG. 4). At the same time that the energization is terminated (point {circle around (7)} in FIG. 4), the idle stop prohibition flag is set to ON in S140 in preparation for prohibiting the automatic stop of the engine when an abnormality occurs in the rotation transmission device 5, and then S150 Move to the following idle stop control processing. If the timer set time in S110 has elapsed without the abnormality determination being performed in S100, it can be determined that no abnormality has occurred in the rotation transmission device 5. Therefore, in S120, the power supply to the motor is terminated and the idle stop is performed. The prohibition flag is reset to off and the process proceeds to S150 and below (points (3) to (6) in FIG. 3).
[0026]
Here, the concept of abnormality determination based on the battery voltage drop will be described. First, a case where a DC motor with a brush is applied as the
[0027]
[Equation 3]
Ea = Ra × Ia + Eb, Ia = (Ea−Eb) / Ra
Where Ea: battery voltage
Ra: winding resistance
Ia: Current value
Eb: Back electromotive voltage.
[0028]
The back electromotive voltage Eb is proportional to the motor rotation speed. If the

[0030]
The voltage drop Ec at this time is expressed by the following equation (4).
[0031]
(Equation 4)
Ec = Ea− [Rb × {(Ea−Eb) / Ra} + Ic]
Where Rb is the battery internal resistance
Ib: Motor current consumption
Ic: System power consumption.
[0032]
In this case, when the battery voltage Ea decreases to the voltage Ec after the voltage drop when the motor runs from 0 rotation, it can be determined that an abnormality that cannot transmit the motor power to the engine due to belt cutting or the like has occurred. That is, it is possible to determine the occurrence of an abnormality using only the
[0033]
Even when a synchronous motor is used as the
[0034]
On the other hand, when the belt is cut, as in the case of the DC motor with brush, powering should be performed from 0 rotation to the number of rotations that can be performed on the magnetic circuit at the voltage of the battery at the time of diagnosis. It becomes. As a result, the motor consumes power for the internal mechanical friction, the moment of inertia of the rotating rotor, the loss of the magnetic circuit, and the power of the winding resistance, and the battery voltage drops.
[0035]
It should be noted that the current consumption Ib of the motor under no load is represented by the following equation 5 from the relationship described above.
[0036]
(Equation 5)
Ib = [(Ea−Eb) / Ra]
From this relationship, the motor has a low back electromotive voltage during the increase in rotation while canceling the inertia, so the required current increases and the power consumption increases, and this Ib is equivalent to the internal friction of the motor. When the amount of current required to generate the torque is reached, the rotation speed of the motor under no load saturates. As a result, when the rotation speed increases until the rotation speed is saturated in the no-load state, the amount of current decreases. Therefore, it can be said that it is more preferable to perform the determination in S100 at a time when the power consumption is large before the rotation saturation. Further, from the above relationship, it is also possible to make an abnormality determination based on the amount of current between the
[0037]
Returning to FIG. 2, the idle stop control after S150 will be described. In S150 to S170, an accelerator operation amount, a brake operation amount, and a vehicle speed are detected, respectively. Next, in S180, it is determined whether or not the idle stop condition is satisfied. Although various determination logics for the idle stop condition are known, it is usually the case that all the conditions of an accelerator operation amount are less than a predetermined value, a brake operation amount is a predetermined amount or more, and a vehicle speed = 0 km / h are satisfied. Perform a stop.
[0038]
However, in this control, even when the idle stop condition is satisfied, the state of the idle stop prohibition flag in S140 is checked in S190, and if the flag is on, the idle stop is prohibited and the process returns to S20 (FIG. 4). (6 points). By this processing, the engine is kept in an operating state, and it is possible to avoid a situation in which the engine is stopped in a state where an abnormality such as a belt break has occurred and restart afterward becomes impossible. If the idle stop prohibition flag is off, which means that the rotation transmitting device 5 functions without any abnormality, the engine is stopped in S200 as a normal idle stop control procedure ((7)-in FIG. 3). (9 points). Next, in S210, it is waited that the idle stop release condition is satisfied. When the condition is satisfied, the
[0039]
By the way, the driving force F during deceleration changes with a change in the brake braking force when the amount of brake operation by the driver's operation changes. Thus, for example, if the driver increases the brake operation amount before stopping and the vehicle speed becomes 0 before the diagnosis is completed, the engine is automatically stopped after the completion of the diagnosis. If the brake is released before the vehicle stops, the diagnosis is started, and the engine is automatically stopped without performing the diagnosis until the estimated stop time that does not require the diagnosis is reached again.
[0040]
Although the above embodiment shows an example in which the present invention is applied to an idle stop vehicle, the present invention is not limited to this, and the present invention is configured to automatically control start and stop under predetermined conditions such as a stationary engine for power generation. Widely applied to the engine system to improve the reliability of its operation.
