本発明は、移動体通信および無線LAN、GPS受信機、Bluetooth、UWB、ITS、ETC、デジタルテレビ、デジタルラジオ等に使用するアンテナ付モジュールに関する。

図11、図12に示すように、従来のアンテナ付モジュールAM11は、絶縁体ベース基板91上にパッチ状アンテナ素子92、93が配置され、パッチ状アンテナ素子92、93が環状にくり貫かれ、このくり貫かれた部分に、RF回路95が構成されている例である。GND層94は、絶縁体ベース基板91内にパッチ状アンテナ素子92、93に対向するように配置されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来のアンテナ付モジュールAM11は、パッチ状アンテナ92を絶縁体ベース基板91の表面の周囲にリング状に配置し、RF回路95を内部に構成するので、小型のアンテナ一体型高周波ユニットであるが、RF回路95のシールド性に関しては、殆ど考慮されていない。

また、従来のアンテナ付モジュールAM11において、GND層94に対するアンテナ92からモジュールに与える影響について、殆ど考慮されていないので、アンテナ92から漏れる電流が、RF回路95のGND層94を通して漏れることによって、S/Nや受信感度等を下げる可能性がある。

さらに、従来のアンテナ付モジュールAM11において、パッチ導体素子92、93の中心部の導体を削除していることによって、アンテナ特性が劣化するという問題がある。

また、従来のアンテナ付モジュールAM12において、パッチアンテナ素子96の面には、基本的に部品を実装することができないので、小型化が困難であるという問題がある。

本発明は、アンテナ一体型高周波モジュールにおいて、シールド性の高いアンテナ付モジュールを得ることができ、また、高S/N、高受信感度であり、しかも、小型に構成することができるアンテナ付モジュールを提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、基体と、上記基体の1つの表面に構成されているパッチ導体と、上記パッチ導体と対向するように、上記基体の表面または内部に配置されているGND導体と、上記パッチ導体の表面に設置され、しかも上記パッチ導体の表面をGNDとする信号処理回路であって、上記パッチ導体で送信する信号または受信した信号を処理する信号処理回路とを有することを特徴とするアンテナ付モジュールである。

【発明の実施の形態および実施例】
図1は、本発明の第1の実施例であるアンテナ付モジュールAM1の構造を示す図である。

これらの材料の選択は、使用する周波数や要求特性に応じて、適宜選択すればよい。特に、高いQ特性や高い誘電率を必要とする場合、セラミックまたは樹脂とセラミックとをコンポジットしたハイブリッド材料を選択することが望ましい。ただし、加工性も考慮すると、ハイブリッド材が最も望ましい。また、上記導体として、銅、金、銀、パラジウム、アルミ、ニッケル、スズ、白金、それらの合金等を使用するようにしてもよい。

図3に示すように、アンテナが共振しているときに、磁界MFが最も強いのは、パッチ導体30の淵の部分である。つまり、放射の例で考えると、電波は、アンテナ(アンテナ付モジュールAM1)のエッジ部から放射されている。また、このときに、パッチ導体30に流れる電流は、図3(2)に示すように、パッチ導体30とGND導体20とが対向している面(言い換えれば、パッチ導体30の表面側とGND導体20の裏面側)に、集中する。上記電流の値は、パッチ導体30の中心部で最大になり、電位がほぼ0(ゼロ)であるので、GND導体20とショートしても、アンテナ特性に影響がない。
