Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic component mounting device, and more particularly, to an electronic component mounting device capable of replacing a suction nozzle that sucks an electronic component.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An electronic component mounting device capable of replacing a suction nozzle for sucking an electronic component includes a head for holding the suction nozzle, an optical sensor mounted on the head, and a head movement for transporting the head along an XY plane. The head is positioned with respect to a nozzle holder provided with a plurality of suction nozzle accommodating portions, and necessary suction nozzles are mounted (for example, see Patent Document 1).
When mounting such a suction nozzle, the identification mark attached to the nozzle holder is sensed by an optical sensor to specify the type of the nozzle holder, and to determine the type of the nozzle holder and the specific data of each nozzle accommodating unit from the unique data of the specified type of nozzle holder. Was obtained, and the head was positioned based on this position data.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
JP 2001-191288 A
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional example described above has a configuration in which the head is positioned with respect to the nozzle accommodating portion of the nozzle holder based on existing unique data corresponding to the type of the nozzle holder. It has not been possible to cope with an error or a processing error in each nozzle accommodating portion of the nozzle holder. In such a case, in an extreme case, the mounting of the suction nozzle cannot be performed, or even if the suction nozzle is mounted, the position of the suction nozzle in the head may be misaligned. There is a possibility that an error may occur and the reliability of the apparatus may be impaired.
[0005]
Further, without using existing data, the position of each nozzle accommodating portion is detected with respect to the installed nozzle holder and stored, so that it is possible to deal with an error at the time of installation and a processing error. However, even in such a case, if the position of the nozzle holder is misaligned due to, for example, an external impact or vibration, it is necessary to perform position detection again for all the nozzle housings, and the return work is required. There is a disadvantage that it takes a lot of time.
[0006]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to eliminate the effects of nozzle holder assembly errors or processing errors.
Another object of the present invention is to quickly cope with a positional deviation after the nozzle holder is assembled.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to claim 1 is an electronic component mounting apparatus that transports and mounts an electronic component from an electronic component supply unit to a substrate on which the electronic component is to be mounted, and holds the electronic component via a detachable suction nozzle. Head to perform, head moving means for driving and transporting the head to an arbitrary position within a predetermined range, imaging means mounted on the head, and a nozzle holder provided with a plurality of suction nozzle housings on a surface facing the head And an operation control means for controlling the operation of the head moving means based on the image data by the imaging means, wherein the operation control means images the head-facing surface of the nozzle holder by the imaging means, and the imaging means A reference point extracting unit that specifies the positions of at least two reference points set on the head-facing surface of the nozzle holder from the imaging data obtained by the camera, and a coordinate system created by each of the reference points. Ku and a storable nozzle position storage unit the position coordinates data of each of the accommodating parts, adopts a configuration that.
The invention according to claim 2 includes, in addition to the above configuration, an operation control unit that calculates position coordinate data of each storage unit from image data obtained by the image pickup unit and stores the position coordinate data in the nozzle position storage unit. The configuration is adopted.
Further, the invention according to claim 3 employs, in addition to any one of the above configurations, a marking for recognizing each reference point on the head-facing surface of the nozzle holder by imaging by the imaging means.
[0008]
In each of the above-described configurations, the operation of mounting the suction nozzle on the head is performed on the premise that the operations of receiving the electronic component by the head, transporting the electronic component to a mounting target (for example, a substrate), and mounting are performed.
When mounting the suction nozzle, first, an image of the nozzle holder is taken by the imaging means, and at least two reference points are extracted and specified in the head-facing surface of the nozzle holder. Such a reference point is provided on the head-facing surface of the nozzle holder in a state where it can be recognized from the image data in advance. For example, as in the invention according to claim 3, marking may be performed by paint or unevenness having a luminance different from that of other parts on the head facing surface, or any of the nozzle accommodating portions themselves may be provided. An image may be taken and a reference point may be specified therefrom.
[0009]
When two or more reference point positions are specified, a coordinate system can be created from them. As an example, it is as if one reference point is the origin and a straight line connecting the two reference points is one coordinate axis, but if the position of each nozzle accommodating part can be indicated as a coordinate value, the distance from the origin is Any coordinate system such as a polar coordinate system indicated by the directions may be used.
[0010]
Next, regarding the position coordinate data of each nozzle accommodating section based on the coordinate system, data obtained from a design value at the time of processing the nozzle holder may be stored in the nozzle position storage section in advance. As in the configuration of the invention described above, after assembling the nozzle holder, the nozzle unit may be extracted from the imaging unit for each nozzle accommodating unit, the position may be specified, and the calculated position may be stored in the nozzle position storage unit.
By acquiring these position data, even if there is an error in assembling the nozzle holder, or even if the nozzle holder is misaligned due to a subsequent disturbance, it is only necessary to specify each reference point position. By referring to the nozzle position storage section, the position of each nozzle accommodating section can be relatively recognized, the influence of an assembling error is prevented, and the return processing at the time of a position shift is completed quickly.
Further, regarding the processing error generated in each nozzle accommodating portion of the nozzle holder, the influence can be eliminated by individually measuring the positions of the nozzle accommodating portions after assembling as in the configuration of the invention according to claim 2. it can.

【The invention's effect】
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the relative positional relationship based on at least two reference points is stored in the nozzle position storage unit as position coordinate data, so that the reference point position is specified and the nozzle position storage unit is referred to. In addition, it is possible to eliminate the influence of the assembly error of the nozzle holder. Also, even if the nozzle holder is misaligned later, if only the reference point position is specified, the position of each nozzle accommodating unit can be recognized by referring to the nozzle position storage unit, Since it is not necessary to specify the positions of all the nozzle housing portions as in the related art, the return processing can be completed quickly.
[0027]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the position coordinate data of each nozzle storage section stored in the nozzle position storage section is individually specified from the image data by the imaging means, a processing error occurs for each nozzle storage section. Even in this case, it is possible to identify the position of the nozzle housing portion where the error occurs, and as a result, it is possible to eliminate the influence of the processing error of each nozzle housing portion of the nozzle holder.
[0028]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the reference point is specified from the marking, it is possible to reduce erroneous recognition and specify the reference point position with higher accuracy.
