Abstract
Description
【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the optical head device, it is required to improve the drive sensitivity of the objective lens. In particular, it is strongly required to improve the sensitivity in tracking drive. However, there is a space limitation to increase the number of windings of the
[0005]
In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to propose an optical head device capable of improving driving sensitivity in a tracking direction by effectively utilizing an empty space.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a lens holder for holding an objective lens for converging light emitted from a light source on an optical recording medium, and a holder for supporting the lens holder so as to be movable at least in a tracking direction and a focusing direction. A light having a support member, a plurality of drive coils arranged on the lens holder side, and a plurality of drive magnets arranged at positions facing the drive coils and forming the drive coils and a plurality of magnetic drive circuits. In the head device, the plurality of drive coils include at least a tracking drive coil, and the plurality of drive magnets include a first drive magnet partially facing the tracking drive coil; And a driving magnet other than the tracking driving coil, A magnetic flux from the second drive magnet is disposed at a position facing an invalid side of the tracking drive coil that does not face the first drive magnet. And an auxiliary yoke for generating a thrust for moving the lens holder in the tracking direction also by the ineffective side portion.
[0007]
In the present invention, since the first drive magnet faces only a part of the tracking drive coil, the tracking drive coil has an invalid side portion where the first drive magnet does not face. An auxiliary yoke that guides a magnetic flux from a second drive magnet facing a drive coil other than the tracking drive coil is disposed on the side portion. For this reason, a thrust for moving the lens holder in the tracking direction can be generated even by the inactive side portion of the tracking drive coil, so that the drive sensitivity in the tracking direction can be improved. Also, the portion where the auxiliary yoke is arranged is originally a space where the drive coil and the drive magnet are not arranged, and since the configuration is such that this empty space is effectively used, the size of the optical head device and the like are not considered. The conventional method may be used.
[0008]
In the present invention, the plurality of drive coils include, for example, a tilt drive coil for controlling the tilt of the lens holder by the second drive magnet.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the optical head device of the present invention, since the first drive magnet faces only a part of the tracking drive coil, the first drive magnet does not face the tracking drive coil. Although there is an invalid side portion, an auxiliary yoke for guiding a magnetic flux from the second drive magnet facing a drive coil other than the tracking drive coil is disposed for the invalid side portion. For this reason, a thrust for moving the lens holder in the tracking direction can be generated even by the invalid side portion of the tracking drive coil, so that the drive sensitivity in the tracking direction can be improved. In addition, the portion where the auxiliary yoke is arranged is a dead space in which the drive coil and the drive magnet are not originally arranged. In the present embodiment, the auxiliary yoke is arranged in this dead space. This has the advantage that no significant design changes are required.
