Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reflecting mirror on which markings such as characters and patterns visible from the front side are formed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The vehicle is provided with a so-called door mirror (sometimes referred to as an outer view mirror) for checking the left and right rear sides.
[0003]
Confirmation of the rear of the vehicle with such a reflecting mirror is performed by confirming a reflected image by light reflected by the reflecting mirror, but at night or the like, for example, light of headlights of a following vehicle is reflected by a reflecting film. By being reflected, it can be confirmed that a vehicle traveling backward exists.
[0004]
In recent years, as this type of reflecting mirror, there is a reflecting mirror of a type in which a thin-film hydrophilic coating mainly composed of silicon dioxide or the like is formed on the surface of a glass substrate. The hydrophilic coating containing silicon dioxide as a main component has good wettability to water. Therefore, if water adheres to the surface of the reflector during rainy weather, the water spreads in a film form. Thereby, large refraction of the reflected light is prevented. In addition, since the water spreads in the form of a film, the attached water can be evaporated at an early stage. As a result, it is configured that a good rear view can be secured.
[0005]
On the other hand, at night or the like, the light of the headlight is sufficiently bright relative to the surrounding brightness, and the light reflected by the reflector is dazzling. For this reason, in recent years, a mirror having an electrochromic coating (hereinafter referred to as an “EC coating”) provided between a glass substrate and a reflective film is sometimes used as a door mirror or the like of a vehicle. Is applied to color the EC coating, for example, blue or the like, thereby temporarily lowering the light transmittance, thereby improving the antiglare property.
[0006]
By the way, for example, a so-called “curved mirror” in which a mirror image having a reflected light is smaller than an actual vehicle by mounting a reflecting mirror having such an EC film or by changing the curvature of a glass substrate entirely or partially. In some vehicles, the so-called caution character must be formed on a part of the surface of the reflector, depending on the partner country to which the vehicle is exported.
[0007]
Such caution characters are formed, for example, by removing a part of the surface of a glass substrate by a so-called shot blast method in which fine particles are sprayed (see Patent Documents 1 and 2 as an example).
[0008]
As another method, a laser beam is guided by an optical fiber, and a laser beam is applied to the surface of the glass substrate from the tip of the optical fiber to remove a part of the coating formed on the surface of the glass substrate. (See Patent Document 3 as an example).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when forming a caution character by removing a part of the film on the glass substrate surface as described above, if the film formed on the surface is a hydrophilic film, the hydrophilic film is also removed together. That is, the hydrophilicity is reduced at that portion.
[0011]
It is also conceivable to form a caution character on the surface of the glass substrate by the above method before forming the hydrophilic film on the surface of the glass substrate. However, forming a caution character on a glass substrate is nothing less than forming a concave portion on the glass substrate, and a glass substrate having such a concave portion forms a hydrophilic film having a uniform thickness. It is extremely difficult to form.
[0012]
An object of the present invention is to provide a reflector having markings such as cautionary characters without deteriorating the quality or function of a hydrophilic film.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention according to claim 1 is a reflecting mirror in which a reflective film is formed on a rear surface side of a substrate that transmits light with substantially transparency or a predetermined transmittance, and reflects light incident from the front surface side with the reflective film. A hydrophilic coating formed on the surface side of the substrate, having hydrophilicity; a transparent and conductive first electrode coating formed between the substrate and the reflective film; and a first electrode coating. A conductive second electrode coating formed on the surface opposite to the substrate, and the first electrode coating and the second electrode formed between the first electrode coating and the second electrode coating. And an electrochromic film that is colored by application of a voltage from either side of the film, and wherein at least one of the back surface of the substrate and the first electrode film is partially removed for marking. It is characterized by having given.
[0014]
In the reflecting mirror according to the first aspect of the present invention, a reflective film is formed on the back surface side of the substrate such as glass or the like, which is substantially transparent or has a predetermined transmittance. The light passes through the substrate and is reflected by the reflection film. Therefore, if the present reflector is applied to a door mirror or the like of a vehicle, the vehicle occupant can visually check the light reflected by the reflection film to see the rear side of the vehicle.
[0015]
Further, in the present reflecting mirror, a hydrophilic film is formed on the surface side of the substrate. Since the hydrophilic coating has hydrophilicity, when water adheres to the surface of the hydrophilic coating (that is, the surface of the reflecting mirror), the water spreads on the surface. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the light incident on the reflecting mirror and the light reflected by the reflecting film from being largely refracted by the water droplet. In addition, the water can be evaporated in a short time by spreading the water largely on the surface. For this reason, if the present reflector is applied to a door mirror of a vehicle or the like, a good rear view can be obtained even in rainy weather or the like.
[0016]
Further, in this reflector, a first electrode coating, an electrochromic coating (hereinafter, referred to as “EC coating”), and a second electrode coating are formed on the back surface side of the substrate, and the first electrode coating and the second electrode coating are formed. When a voltage is applied from either side of the coating, the EC coating is colored. As a result, the transmittance of light having a predetermined wavelength at least between the substrate and the reflective film is reduced. For this reason, if the present reflector is applied to a door mirror of a vehicle or the like, when the light of the headlight of the vehicle behind is incident on the reflector at night or the like, the EC coating is colored as described above. The reflected light can be reduced, and the antiglare property can be improved.
[0017]
By the way, the present reflecting mirror is marked, and this marking indicates, for example, that the light transmittance of the present reflecting mirror changes as described above.
[0018]
Also, for example, when the present reflecting mirror is a so-called “curved mirror” in which a mirror image by reflected light is smaller than the actual one by changing the curvature of the substrate entirely or partially, the mirror image is actually formed by marking. This can alert the occupants to be smaller than the image.
[0019]
Here, in the present reflector, the marking is formed by partially removing at least one of the back surface of the substrate and the first electrode coating formed on the back surface side of the substrate. For this reason, the hydrophilic film is formed with a substantially uniform thickness without causing any damage due to marking on the surface side of the substrate. Thereby, good hydrophilicity can be secured.
[0020]
In the present invention, it is sufficient that the second electrode coating is formed on the opposite side of the first electrode coating from the substrate (that is, on the back side of the first electrode coating). Therefore, for example, the second electrode coating may be formed separately from the above-mentioned reflecting film, or may be made conductive by giving conductivity to the reflecting film (that is, by applying a conductive reflecting film). The function of both the film and the second electrode coating may be provided.
[0021]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided the reflector according to the first aspect, wherein fine particles are sprayed onto at least one of the first electrode coating and the back surface of the substrate from the back surface side of the substrate. The marking is formed by removing at least one of the above, and after the marking is formed, the electrochromic coating and the second electrode coating are formed including the portion of the marking.
[0022]
According to the reflector according to the present invention, at least one of the back surface of the substrate and the first electrode coating is partially removed by a so-called shot blast method in which fine particles are sprayed from the back surface side of the substrate. The marking is formed. Also, the fine particles that are sprayed cut at least one of the back surface of the substrate and the first electrode coating, so that minute unevenness is formed in a portion corresponding to the marking.
[0023]
Furthermore, in this reflector, an EC film and a second electrode film are formed on the first electrode film on which the marking is formed. Therefore, in this reflector, the EC coating and the second electrode coating are also formed on the portion of the first electrode coating where the marking is formed.
[0024]
Here, as described above, the minute unevenness is formed in the portion corresponding to the marking on the substrate, so that light is scattered in the marking portion and becomes the same state as so-called frosted glass, so that the marking is clearly visible. it can.
[0025]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the reflector according to the first aspect, at least one of the back surface of the substrate and the first electrode coating is partially removed by irradiating a laser beam to form the marking. Formed.
[0026]
According to the reflector according to the third aspect of the present invention, the substrate is irradiated with laser light, whereby at least one of the back surface of the substrate and the first electrode coating is partially removed to form a marking. You.
[0027]
In the present reflecting mirror, the marking may be formed on at least one of the back surface of the substrate and the first electrode coating by the laser beam, and the marking may be formed on the EC coating or the second electrode coating. However, the marking may not be formed.
