[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described method for purifying an alkali iodide, when the alkali iodide serving as a raw material contains another inorganic salt as an impurity, these other inorganic salts cannot be separated from the alkali iodide. There is a problem that production of high quality alkali iodide is not easy.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for purifying an alkali iodide from which a high-quality alkali iodide can be easily obtained.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the method for purifying an alkali iodide of the present invention, an alkali iodide containing another inorganic salt as an impurity is dissolved in an organic solvent that does not dissolve the other inorganic salt, and the other inorganic salt as the impurity is separated. To do.
[0009]
Then, the alkali iodide containing another inorganic salt as an impurity is dissolved in an organic solvent that does not dissolve the other inorganic salt, and the other inorganic salt is separated, thereby separating the inorganic salt from the alkali iodide. Since it can be performed with high precision and easily, high-quality alkali iodide can be easily obtained.
[0010]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Next, an embodiment of the method for purifying an alkali iodide of the present invention will be described.
[0011]
First, an alkali iodide purification method involves dissolving an alkali iodide containing another inorganic salt as an impurity of a raw material in an organic solvent, and filtering or centrifuging the other inorganic salt in the raw material that is insoluble in the organic solvent. To separate. That is, in the method for purifying an alkali iodide, the alkali iodide is purified by utilizing a difference in solubility between the alkali iodide and another inorganic salt in an organic solvent.
[0012]
Specifically, the method for purifying alkali iodide involves dissolving an alkali iodide containing another inorganic salt as an impurity, and using an organic solvent which does not dissolve the other inorganic salt contained in the alkali iodide. The alkali iodide is dissolved and separated from other inorganic salts as impurities.
[0013]
The alkali iodide containing another inorganic salt as an impurity which is a raw material is an iodine-absorbing liquid produced by a blowing-out method or an iodine-containing liquid obtained by hydrolyzing an organic iodine compound with an acid or an alkali. Alkali iodide containing a small amount of other inorganic salts as impurities separated by electrodialysis, or other inorganic salts produced from different alkali salts other than alkali iodide and iodine by a precipitation method or a metathesis reaction using electrodialysis. Salt-containing alkali salts of different iodine.
[0014]
The alkali iodide used as the raw material is, for example, lithium iodide, sodium iodide, potassium iodide, ammonium iodide or quaternary ammonium iodide. And, as other inorganic salts which are impurities in this raw material, sodium chloride, sodium sulfate and the like are usually contained in an amount of about 1 to 50% by mass.
[0015]
Further, as the organic solvent, a dielectric constant in the range of 5 to 50, usually alcohols, ketones, esters or nitriles such as n-butanol, isobutanol, tert-butanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, Ethanol, methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, ethyl acetate, butyronitrile, propionitrile, acetonitrile and the like are used.
[0016]
The amount of the organic solvent used is usually such that the concentration of the alkali iodide in the liquid is 10 to 50% by mass.
[0017]
Further, the dissolution temperature of the alkali iodide containing another inorganic salt as an impurity in an organic solvent is usually from room temperature to the boiling point of the organic solvent to be used since the dissolution temperature is usually under normal pressure.
[0018]
In addition, the organic solvent in which alkali iodide is dissolved after separating other inorganic salts as impurities, the organic solvent is evaporated to dryness, or cooled after concentration, and the precipitated crystals are separated by filtration and dried. Thereby, the separation of the inorganic salt from the alkali iodide can be performed with high accuracy and easily, so that a high-quality alkali iodide can be easily obtained.
