本発明は、車両診断システム及びその診断の対象となる車両に関し、より具体的には、外部装置から通信手段を介して車両にアクセスして車両を診断(点検)する場合に、そのアクセスを制限することにより、車両に係る各種情報に対しプライバシーを堅守する車両診断システム及びその診断の対象となる車両に関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、様々な分野でネットワークが構築されており、自動車等の車両においても、車内のワイヤーハーネスの削減、及び大容量のデータ転送の高速化等の目的で、いわゆる車内ネットワークが形成されている。この車内ネットワークにおいては、複数の車載機器が複数の通信線を介して互いに接続され、情報の共有等が実現されている。また、この車内ネットワークは、携帯電話及びPHS等を介して外部の通信ネットワーク(例えば、インターネット)に接続されている場合もある。

これら各種ネットワークの利用として、無線通信等の通信手段を介して車両にアクセスし、アクセスした車両の診断を行う車両診断システムが提案されている。この車両診断システムによれば、車両の状態を遠隔から診断することが可能であるため、車両の所有車は車両を診断業者(点検業者)へもって行かなくても、換言すれば、診断業者は車両を引き取りに行かなくても、車両の異常を診断することができる。

しかしながら、前述した車両診断システムは、外部装置から車両の情報(以下、状態情報)にアクセスする場合に、そのアクセスを制限する手段が存在せず、状態情報が第三者にわたる虞があるため、車両に係る各種情報に対しプライバシーが守られない可能性があるという問題があった。

以下、本発明をその実施の形態を示す図面に基づいて詳述する。
