Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a side curtain airbag that protects an occupant's head when the vehicle rolls over and the like, and particularly to a gas flow path structure for supplying gas to the airbag.
[0002]
[Prior art]
When a lateral impact is applied to the vehicle, such as during a side collision or rollover of the vehicle, the occupant's head may collide with the door, window glass, center pillar, etc. due to the reaction force to the side of the vehicle. There is. Therefore, in the event of a side collision of the vehicle, the airbag is deployed from above to below along the door or pillar on the side of the occupant's head to reduce the impact on the occupant's head. An airbag device for protecting the head has been developed (for example, Patent Document 1).
Here, an energy absorbing member made of a rib or a foam material is provided in the front pillar so as to absorb a secondary collision load of the occupant's head in a side collision.

The present invention solves the disadvantages of the prior art described above, is applicable to vehicles such as three-row seats, has durability against initial high-pressure gas when the inflator is ignited, and saves space at low cost. It is an object to provide a gas flow path structure of a side curtain airbag having a simple configuration that contributes to the above.
[0015]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a gas flow path structure of a side curtain airbag according to
[0016]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, when configured as described above, the energy absorbing member absorbs the impact energy when the occupant's head has a secondary collision (to the interior material of the vehicle). It is possible to plastically deform to protect the occupant's head, and the space for plastic deformation is also used as a gas flow path, so that the space is used effectively. This contributes to space saving.
Further, the energy absorbing member housed in the bag case together with the airbag also has a function of reinforcing the airbag, and thus contributes to the improvement of the durability of the airbag.
[0017]
In the gas flow path structure of the side curtain airbag according to the present invention, it is preferable that the energy absorbing member be housed in the bag case so as to overlap with the airbag body.
With such a configuration, the energy absorber can be installed without a support member such as a bracket, so that the number of parts and the number of assembling steps can be reduced, and the space occupied by the support member is reduced, so that the entire device is reduced. Can be reduced in size.
[0018]
The gas flow path structure of the side curtain airbag according to the second aspect is a gas supply pipe that supplies gas that is ignited by an inflator when the vehicle collides and that is ejected, and is provided above a door opening and is provided with a gas supply pipe. An airbag bag that expands to the inside of the vehicle when gas is supplied through a pipe, and a gas flow path structure of a side curtain airbag, wherein the airbag bag is an airbag. It is characterized in that an expansion portion having a width larger than the inner diameter of the gas supply pipe is provided between the expanding portion to be deployed and the gas supply pipe.
[0019]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the expansion portion is provided between the gas supply pipe and the expansion portion where the airbag bag is deployed, the pressure of the high-pressure gas can be reduced at the expansion portion. . For this reason, it is possible to prevent the internal pressure of the gas passage between the inflating portion of the airbag bag and the gas supply pipe from being concentrated and increasing, thereby improving the durability of the airbag bag.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the gas passage structure of the side curtain airbag according to the first aspect, the energy absorbing member is housed in the bag case in a state of being overlapped with the airbag, and is also provided from the gas supply pipe. Since it has a function as a gas flow path to the airbag, the space can be effectively used, which contributes to space saving.
Further, since the energy absorbing member protects the occupant's head and reinforces the airbag, the durability of the airbag can be increased at a low cost with a minimum number of parts.
[0043]
According to the gas passage structure of the side curtain airbag according to the second aspect, by having the expansion portion between the inflation portion of the airbag bag and the gas supply pipe, the pressure of the high-pressure gas at the expansion portion is provided. Can be alleviated. For this reason, it is possible to prevent the internal pressure of the gas passage between the inflating portion of the airbag bag and the gas supply pipe from being concentrated and increasing, thereby improving the durability of the airbag bag.
