しかるに従来品は、上記のような構成に係るため、導管を一方の手で持ち、他方の手でホッパを押してホッパ内の棒状体で計量カップの底のシャッタを押し開く必要があった。
従って従来品によると、両手が必要になり片手で操作できず、しかも種の入っている重たい状態のホッパを上下動させる必要があったから、使い勝手が悪く、作業者に肉体的負担を強いる、という問題点があった。
