Abstract
Description
【0001】
近年、無線通信機能を搭載した民生用機器の開発・商品化が盛んに行われており、オーディオ製品、ビデオ機器、カメラ機器、プリンタ、エンタテインメントロボット、パーソナルコンピュータ、PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)等だけでなく、無線LAN(Local Area Network)用のアクセスポイントや、PCMCIA(Personal Computer Memory Card International Association)カード、ミニPCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect)カードといった小型アクセサリ機器でも、無線機能を搭載することが盛んに行われている。
【0003】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a multi-band antenna.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, development and commercialization of consumer devices equipped with a wireless communication function have been actively performed, and only audio products, video devices, camera devices, printers, entertainment robots, personal computers, PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants), and the like have been developed. It is also possible to use a wireless LAN (Local Area Network) access point, a PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) card, a mini-PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) card, and a small accessory device such as a wireless accessory card. Has been done.
[0003]
In such devices, various wireless systems and frequency bands are used as necessary. In recent years, in particular, development of highly functional devices capable of transmitting and receiving radio waves in a plurality of frequency bands with the same device has been actively performed. It is becoming.
[0004]
When a plurality of frequencies can be used in the same device, for example, when a 5.2 GHz band frequency and a 2.4 GHz band frequency can be used in a wireless LAN PC card, a PC card board is usually used. It is necessary to provide each antenna corresponding to each frequency. That is, two antennas are required: a 5.2 GHz band frequency antenna and a 2.4 GHz band frequency antenna. Furthermore, when utilizing the diversity effect, it is necessary to provide two antennas for one frequency, and a total of four antennas are required.
[0005]
It is needless to say that allocating a large volume for providing an antenna in a device required to be miniaturized hinders miniaturization of a product.
[0006]
Therefore, recently, small ceramic dielectric antennas have been frequently used as antennas, and some of these antennas support multiple frequencies with one antenna. It is used by mounting it on a card board.
[0007]
However, when a ceramic dielectric antenna is mounted on a PC card board, the characteristics are significantly changed due to the influence of the distance from the metal part used for the housing of the device, and the impedance matching is shifted. In some cases, such a phenomenon may occur, or the gain may be reduced. In particular, in the case of a smaller device, the tendency may be noticeable.
[0008]
On the other hand, when an inverted F-type antenna called IFA (inverted F-type antenna) or PIFA (plate-shaped inverted F-type antenna) is formed by patterning of a printed circuit board or sheet metal processing, it is compared with a ceramic dielectric antenna. In general, the bandwidth is wide, and it is considered to be strong against the change of characteristics due to the housing of the equipment. In addition, since the pattern can be formed directly on the printed circuit board, the cost is lower than mounting the ceramic dielectric antenna. Is also advantageous.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, although the above-mentioned inverted F-type antenna can obtain good characteristics, it is necessary to provide an antenna for each required frequency, and in order to be able to use a plurality of frequencies, each antenna must be installed in a device. There is a problem that a volume for the provision is required, and it is difficult to reduce the size of the device.
[0010]
In view of this situation, the present inventor has developed a multi-band inverted-F antenna to reduce the capacity of the antenna and to reduce the size of the device, and has accomplished the present invention. is there.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the multiband antenna according to the present invention, the second open line is connected to the inverted-F type antenna formed by the feed line, the short-circuit line, and the first open line.
[0012]
Further, the second open line is formed on the opposite side of the first open line with respect to the feed line, and further, the first open line or the second open line is formed to be bent at an intermediate portion. It also has features.
[0013]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In the multiband antenna according to the present invention, the feed line, the short-circuit line, and the first open line form an inverted F-type antenna, and the second open line is connected to the inverted F-type antenna. Things.

The antenna portion may be formed of sheet metal instead of the pattern of the printed circuit board, and may be mounted. At this time, if the antenna sheet metal pattern is mounted so as to be perpendicular to the substrate, the wake can be changed by 90 °.
[0039]
【The invention's effect】
According to the first aspect of the present invention, by connecting the second open line to the inverted F-shaped antenna formed by the feeder line, the short-circuit line, and the first open line, one inverted F-shaped antenna can be used. Wireless transmission and reception at different frequencies can be performed, and a compact multiband antenna with excellent characteristics can be provided.
[0040]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the second open line is formed on the opposite side of the first open line with respect to the feed line, so that the second open line radiates from the first open line. It is possible to prevent the antenna characteristics from being degraded by providing the second open line.
[0041]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the first open line or the second open line is bent at an intermediate portion, the multi-band antenna can be made compact. The wiring board to be mounted can be downsized.
