【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、表示ユニットに関し、更に詳しくは、電源装置の出力電流や出力電圧といった出力状態を検出して表示する表示ユニットに関する。

【従来の技術】
現在のスイッチング電源等においては、工場の各種機械設備等に多用されており、その種類も各種であり、同一出力電圧であっても電源容量(出力W)が異なる複数の電源シリーズが使用されている現状となっている。このような電源の使用現状において、メーカー側にとっては、例えば同一出力電圧の電源シリーズとして異なる容量のものを個別に開発製造し、また、シリーズ毎にもそれぞれの容量に対応したものを個別に開発製造して、それらをユーザー側に販売提供している。

しかしながら、同一シリーズであっても容量が異なると、それぞれの容量に対応して回路基板構成やトランスの配置やその他を新たに開発設計する必要があってそれぞれに開発コストがかかる分、電源の販売価格に影響することが余儀なくされる。

また、それらシリーズの電源を購入して使用するユーザーにとっても同一シリーズであっても使用負荷などの各種用途に応じてそのシリーズ内の各種電源を個別に購入する必要があり電源台数も増え、購入コストがかかる、などの不具合があることも指摘されている。

そこで、本件出願人は、同一シリーズ内において或る容量の電源ユニットをモジュール化し、このモジュール化された電源ユニットを任意の台数で増減組み合わせ可能として任意の容量の電源を得られるようにすれば、メーカーにとっては或る容量を有する電源ユニットの開発コストだけですみ、また、ユーザーにとっては用途に応じてその容量を有する電源ユニットを一つ、あるいは、複数、安価に購入して使用できるものとなるという提案をした(特許文献1参照)。

かかる提案に基づく電源装置の一例が、図10および図11に示されている。この電源装置は、モジュール化された電源ユニット61の一つあるいは複数をDINレール62に並列して装着支持するようになっており、電源ユニット61単体に、交流入力端子63、直流出力端子64、交流入力を直流出力に変換する電源回路65、交流入力側のバスラインL(i)、直流出力側のバスラインL(o)、などが装備されている。そして、複数の電源ユニット61を並列して接続するとともに、端部の電源ユニット61を、交流電源に接続することにより、共通の交流入力が交流入力側のバスラインL(i)を介して各電源ユニット61に供給されるとともに、直流出力が直流出力側のバスラインL(o)を介して並列に接続されるようになっている。

このようにモジュール化された電源装置によれば、複数の電源ユニット61を増設することによって、電源容量を任意に拡張することができ、これによって、同一出力電圧で異なる電源容量の電源を個別に開発する必要がなくなるものとなる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このように複数台の電源ユニットから構成される電源装置では、設備の立ち上げ時や増設時などにおいては、電源装置の余裕度を確認するために、テスター等を用いて電源装置の出力電流を計測しなければならないが、このような出力電流の計測は容易でなく、電源装置を構成するのに何台の電源ユニットが必要であるかといった設備設計に手数がかかることになる。また、現場における電源装置の電圧チェックもテスター等を用いて行なわねばならず、面倒である。

本発明は、このような点に着目してなされたものであって、電源装置の出力電流や出力電圧等の出力状態を容易に把握できるようにすることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明では、上述の目的を達成するために、次のように構成している。

すなわち、本発明の表示ユニットは、複数の電源ユニットが互いの電源コネクタを介して縦続接続可能である前記電源ユニットの出力状態を表示する表示ユニットであって、前記電源コネクタに接続可能な表示ユニット側コネクタと、前記表示ユニット側コネクタから入力される直流出力から前記電源ユニットの出力状態を検出する検出手段と、前記検出手段の出力から前記電源ユニットの出力状態を表示する表示手段とを含むものである。

ここで、前記電源コネクタと前記表示ユニット側コネクタとの結合は、相互に直接結合する構成であってもよく、あるいは、別のコネクタを介在させて結合する構成であってもよい。

図1は本発明に係る表示ユニット4および電源ユニット1〜3からなる電源装置の正面図であり、図2は、その接続構成を示す図である。
