本発明は、電子辞典など、任意の見出し語についての説明情報を表示するための情報表示装置および情報表示処理プログラムに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来から、意味内容を知りたい見出し語を入力して検索実行を指示すると、この見出し語に対応付けられて予め記憶された当該見出し語の説明内容が読み出されて表示される電子辞典が実用されている。

このような電子辞典において、所望の見出し語を入力すると、当該見出し語と一致する見出し語と共に類似の見出し語が一覧表示され、この一覧表示された複数の見出し語の中から所望の見出し語を選択すると、選択された見出し語に対応する説明内容の表示画面に切り替わり、所望の見出し語に適切に対応した説明内容を知ることのできる電子辞典も実用されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前記従来の電子辞典では、選択した見出し語についての説明内容は、先頭からべたで表示されるので、当該説明内容の中味を順番に読んで行かないとユーザが求める適切な説明内容を探すのが困難な問題がある。また、候補リストの中でカーソルで指定された見出し語に対応する情報のプレビュー表示とを同時に行う電子辞書においても、同様に、当該説明内容の中味を順番に読んで行かないと適切な説明内容を探すのが困難である。

また、一覧表示された見出し語を選択すると、その選択された見出し語についての複数の説明内容を表示するものもあるが、一覧表示中で異なる見出し語を選択する毎にその説明内容が切り返されて表示されるものであるため、表示された説明内容が適切でない場合、画面を戻して再度見出しを選択し直す必要があるため、検索操作に手間が掛かり面倒な問題がある。

本発明は、前記のような問題に鑑みてなされたもので、所望の見出し語に対応する適切な説明内容を容易且つ簡単に検索することが可能になる情報表示装置および情報表示処理プログラムを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
すなわち、本発明の請求項１に係る情報表示装置では、見出し語毎に該見出し語についての説明情報を記憶する情報記憶手段を有し、この情報記憶手段により記憶された見出し語が見出し語検索手段により検索され、この検索された複数の見出し語が該見出し語毎の説明情報の一部と共に見出し語一覧表示制御手段により一覧表示される。そして、この一覧表示された見出し語のうち何れかの見出し語が見出し語指定手段により指定され、この指定された見出し語についての複数の個別説明情報が、指定見出し語説明情報表示制御手段により当該指定の見出し語に対応付けた表示形態で、前記一覧表示された見出し語毎の説明情報に重ねて一覧表示される。
