【0001】
fc = f×(a/b)
p = 36000μm/N
vi(λ)=sin2π(x/λ)

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic still camera comprising a solid-state image sensor, a so-called digital camera, and more particularly to a digital camera equipped with a charge accumulation time program for obtaining proper exposure.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, a conventional 35 mm silver halide film camera equipped with a shutter speed program to obtain an appropriate exposure is known. In creating such a shutter speed program, it is necessary to set a so-called camera shake limit shutter speed. The camera shake limit shutter speed is determined as follows.
[0003]
First, in a 35 mm silver halide film camera, the permissible blur due to defocus is set to a minimum circle of confusion of 60 μm according to JIS standards or the like related to the depth of field. On the other hand, although there is no theory or standard for the image blur tolerance due to camera shake, it is usually about the same as the minimum confusion circle diameter of 60 μm, and is empirically set to be smaller than the reciprocal (sec) of the focal length (mm) of the imaging optical system. It is said that if the shutter speed is short, the image blur caused by the camera shake is substantially within an allowable value.
[0004]
On the other hand, in a digital camera, a parameter corresponding to a shutter speed is defined as a charge accumulation time for a solid-state imaging device such as a CCD (charge-coupled device) imaging device, and a camera shake limit shutter speed is also defined as a camera shake limit charge accumulation time. Will be. Therefore, when a charge accumulation time program is created by a digital camera, it is required to set a camera shake limit charge accumulation time. As a means for controlling the charge storage time, a method in which a shutter mechanism is mounted and a shutter speed, that is, a shutter opening time is controlled in the same manner as a film camera, and a method in which the charge storage time is electronically directly controlled, a so-called method. There is an electronic shutter. Conventionally, the setting of the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is performed according to the method of determining the camera shake limit shutter speed of the conventional 35 mm silver halide film camera.
[0005]
More specifically, in the case of a 35 mm silver halide film, the area of the exposure area for one frame is 36 mm × 24 mm. However, in a CCD imaging device of a digital camera, the area of the light receiving surface is larger than 36 mm × 24 mm. Small. When a predetermined focal length is set for the photographing optical system of the digital camera, the angle of view of the subject image formed on the light receiving surface is determined by the focal length. Therefore, in order to perform the camera shake limit charge accumulation time in accordance with the method of determining the camera shake limit shutter speed of the conventional 35 mm silver halide film camera, when the light receiving surface of the CCD image pickup device is enlarged to an area of 36 mm × 24 mm, It is necessary to find a focal length for forming a subject image at the same angle of view on the enlarged light receiving surface, and such a focal length is generally called a film equivalent focal length.
[0006]
That is, the film equivalent focal length is defined as follows.
fc= F × (a / b)
Where fcIs the focal length in film equivalent, f is the actual focal length of the photographing optical system of the digital camera, a is the diagonal length of the exposure area (36 mm × 24 mm) for one frame of a 35 mm silver halide film, and b is the CCD photographing element. This is the length of the diagonal line of the light receiving surface.
[0007]
In short, conventionally, when a charge accumulation time program is created in a digital camera, the camera equivalent limit charge accumulation time is calculated as the film equivalent focal length f defined as described above.cReciprocal of (1 / fc).
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, solid-state image sensors such as CCD image sensors used in digital cameras have various pixel pitches. In general, the smaller the pixel pitch, the higher the resolution of the captured image, and the larger the pixel pitch, the lower the resolution of the captured image. The minimum diameter of a circle of confusion in a silver halide film camera is a parameter determined intuitively irrespective of the resolution of a taking lens or a film, and the resolution of a taking lens or a film is one or more digits higher than the minimum diameter of a confusion circle. Therefore, it is unreasonable to set the camera shake limit charge accumulation time by uniformly applying the minimum circle of confusion of 60 μm to a digital camera having CCD image pickup devices having various pixel pitches. In general, the resolution of a digital camera is inferior to the film resolution of a silver halide film camera and the minimum circle of confusion of 60 μm, so the camera shake limit charge accumulation time set based on the minimum circle of confusion of 60 μm is longer than necessary. As a result, the degree of freedom in designing the charge storage time program in the digital camera is limited.
[0009]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an electronic still camera, which is a so-called digital camera comprising a solid-state imaging device, and which is provided with a charge accumulation time program created based on an appropriate camera shake limit charge accumulation time. It is.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A digital camera according to the present invention determines a solid-state imaging device having an optical low-pass filter, an imaging optical system that forms a subject image on the light receiving surface of the solid-state imaging device through the optical low-pass filter, and an optimal exposure parameter during imaging. And a storage means for storing a charge accumulation time program for performing the operation. According to the present invention, the film-equivalent pixel pitch p (μm) of the solid-state imaging device is 4p ≧ 60, and the charge accumulation time program is created based on the camera shake limit charge accumulation time T obtained by the following equation. .
1 / (fc× 60 / 4p) ≧ T ≧ 1 / fc
However, in the above equation,
fcIs the film equivalent focal length (mm)
[0011]
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the photographing optical system is configured as an optical zoom type photographing optical system capable of setting an arbitrary focal length, and the storage means stores charge accumulation time programs corresponding to a plurality of focal lengths. You. In this case, preferably, detecting means for detecting a focal length set by the optical zoom type photographing optical system, and selecting means for selecting a charge accumulation time program corresponding to the focal length detected by the detecting means, The optimum exposure parameter is determined at the time of photographing based on the selected charge accumulation time program.
[0012]
In the digital camera according to the present invention, a diaphragm means for reducing the light amount of the subject image may be provided between the photographing optical system and the solid-state imaging device. In this case, the aperture value of the diaphragm means and the electric charge accumulation are determined for the optimal exposure parameter. Can be time.
[0013]
Further, the digital camera according to the present invention may include an amplifying means for amplifying the pixel signal read from the solid-state imaging device to a gain corresponding to the ISO sensitivity. In this case, the gain of the amplifying means is determined with respect to the optimal exposure parameter. The charge storage time can be used.
[0014]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Next, an embodiment of a digital camera according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In this embodiment, a so-called electronic shutter system is used in which a charge mechanism is electronically directly controlled without using a shutter mechanism.

As described above, in the conventional 35 mm silver halide film camera, when creating a shutter speed program for determining an appropriate exposure, it is required to set a so-called camera shake limit shutter speed. Is the permissible amount of blur due to defocus, that is, the minimum circle of confusion is about 60 μm, and empirically, if the shutter speed is shorter than the reciprocal (sec) of the focal length (mm) of the photographing optical system, the image blur is almost an allowable value. It is supposed to enter. Conventionally, in a digital camera, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is determined in accordance with the method of determining the camera shake limit shutter speed of a 35 mm silver halide film camera. However, in a digital camera, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time corresponding to the camera shake limit shutter speed is generally based on the minimum confusion circle diameter of 60 μm because the resolution of the digital camera is inferior to that of a silver halide film camera. The camera shake limit charge accumulation time set in advance is often set to be shorter than necessary, which limits the degree of freedom in designing a charge accumulation time program. According to the present invention, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is rationally determined as described below.
[0037]
First, in a digital camera, the resolution of a captured image is determined by the pixel pitch of the

For example, for a digital camera with a film equivalent focal length of 111 mm and a 3 million pixel class (2048 × 1536), the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is set to 1/111 sec according to the conventional method. According to the present invention, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is calculated as follows. That is, the film-converted pixel pitch p is approximately 17.58 μm (36000/2048), and the converted minimum circle of confusion 4p is approximately 70.32 μm. Therefore, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is obtained as about 1/95 sec from the following proportional calculation.
Q: {70.32} = {1/111}: {60
[0044]
As another example, in a digital camera having a film equivalent focal length of 105 mm and a 2 million pixel class (1600 × 1200), according to the conventional method, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is set to 1/105 sec. According to the present invention, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is calculated as follows. That is, the film-converted pixel pitch p is about 22.50 μm (36000/1600), and the converted minimum circle of confusion diameter 4p is about 90.00 μm. Therefore, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is obtained as about 1/70 sec from the following proportional calculation.
Q: {90.00} = {1/105}: $ 60
[0045]
As still another example, in a digital camera with a film equivalent focal length of 114 mm and a 1.3 million pixel class (1280 × 960), the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is set to 1/114 sec. The blur limit charge accumulation time Q is calculated as follows. That is, the film-converted pixel pitch p is about 28.12 μm (36000/1280), and the converted minimum circle of confusion diameter 4p is about 72.48 μm. Therefore, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is obtained as about 1/94 sec from the following proportional calculation.
Q: {72.48} = {1/114}: {60
[0046]
As still another example, in a digital camera having a film-equivalent focal length of 280 mm and an 850,000-pixel class (1024 × 768), the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is set to 1/280 sec. The blur limit charge accumulation time Q is calculated as follows. That is, the film-converted pixel pitch p is about 35.16 μm (36000/1024), and the converted minimum circle of confusion 4p is about 140.64 μm. Therefore, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is obtained as about 1/120 sec from the following proportional calculation.
Q: {140.64} = {1/280}: {60
[0047]
As yet another example, for a digital camera having a film equivalent focal length of 111 mm and a 5 million pixel class (2560 × 1920), according to the conventional method, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time is set to 1/111 sec. However, according to the present invention, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is calculated as follows. That is, the film-converted pixel pitch p is about 14.06 μm (36000/2560), and the converted minimum circle of confusion diameter 4p is about 56.24 μm. In this example, since the converted minimum circle of confusion 4p is smaller than 60 μm, the camera shake limit charge accumulation time Q is set to 1/111 sec as in the conventional method.

In the embodiment described above, the charge accumulation time is controlled by using a so-called electronic shutter built in a solid-state imaging device such as a CCD imaging device. However, some digital cameras are similar to silver halide film cameras. Some of them incorporate a mechanical shutter, and in this case, the charge storage time can be handled as the shutter speed as in the case of the silver halide film camera.

【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, an appropriate camera shake limit charge accumulation time can be set according to the pixel pitch of the solid-state imaging device of a digital camera. It is possible to give a great degree of freedom.
