TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device and an illumination device for lighting an electrodeless discharge lamp that emits light by applying a high-frequency electromagnetic field to a bulb in which a discharge gas is sealed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a conventional example of this kind, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-100589 (hereinafter referred to as Conventional Example 1) is given. 13 and 14 show circuit diagrams of the first conventional example. In FIG. 13, J1 is an oscillation circuit, J2 is a preamplifier, J3 is a main amplifier, J4 is a matching circuit, J5 is an induction coil, J6 is an electrodeless discharge lamp, J7 is a filter circuit, and J8 is a protection circuit. The oscillation circuit J1 is an unadjusted oscillator having the crystal oscillator JX and the transistor JQ1, and forms a low-Q tuning circuit by the coil JL1 and the capacitor JC1. The preamplifier J2 amplifies the high-frequency output of the oscillation circuit J1 by class C amplification by a transistor (power MOSFET) JQ2, and tunes to the oscillation frequency by a coil JL2 and a capacitor JC2. The output of the preamplifier J2 is supplied to the transistors (power MOSFETs) JQ3 and JQ4 of the main amplifier J3 via the drive transformer JT1. The main amplifier J3 further amplifies the output of the preamplifier J2 to output high-frequency power. The output of the main amplifier J3 is supplied to the induction coil J5 via the matching circuit J4 to turn on the electrodeless discharge lamp J6.
[0003]
Here, the matching circuit J4 is provided between the output of the main amplifier J3 and the subsequent-stage electrodeless discharge lamp J6 and induction coil J5 for supplying high-frequency power. Impedance matching is performed so that high-frequency power is efficiently transmitted to the electrode discharge lamp J6. The electrodeless discharge lamp J6 is one in which a discharge gas such as an inert gas or metal vapor is sealed in a glass bulb. The coil J5 is wound to supply high frequency power to the discharge gas in the electrodeless discharge lamp J6. The filter circuit J7 is a low-pass filter including the inductor JL3 and the capacitor JC3, and is inserted between the DC power supply JE and the main amplifier J3 to prevent a high frequency from returning to the power supply. The protection circuit J8 detects the output current of the DC power supply JE with the resistor JR1, and when detecting the overcurrent, clamps the control input terminals (between gate and source) of the transistor JQ2 of the preamplifier J2 and the transistor JQ4 of the main amplifier J3, This is for stopping the electrodeless discharge lamp J6.
[0004]
Here, the circuit configuration of the protection circuit J8 will be described with reference to FIG.
[0005]
The power of the protection circuit J8 is supplied from a terminal JA having the same potential as the circuit ground and a terminal JC connected to the positive side of the DC power supply JE. The power supply voltage is divided by the resistors JR3 and JR4 and applied to the positive input terminal of the comparator JIC1 as a reference voltage. Further, the detection signal is applied to the negative input terminal of the comparator JIC1 via the resistor JR1. The output voltage of the comparator JIC1 is applied to the control input terminal (gate of MOSFET) of the transistor JQ5 via the diode JD7 and the resistor JR9 and the like. The transistor JQ5 is connected between the transistor JQ2 of the preamplifier J2 and the control input terminal of the transistor JQ4 of the main amplifier J3 via diodes JD1 and JD2.
[0006]
The operation of the above configuration will be described below.
[0007]
Now, if an overcurrent flows to the resistor JR1 due to any cause, for example, a change in impedance due to an abnormality of the electrodeless discharge lamp J6, no mounting or breakage of the electrodeless discharge lamp J6, an abnormality in the high-frequency power supply means, etc. Overvoltage occurs at both ends.
[0008]
Then, the detection voltage applied to the negative input terminal of the comparator IC1 becomes higher than the reference voltage (the divided voltage of the resistors JR3 and JR4) applied to the positive input terminal of the comparator IC1, and the comparator IC1 outputs a low level. . Then, the voltage V + of the positive input terminal of the comparator IC3 becomes higher than the voltage V− of the negative input terminal, and the output of the comparator IC3 becomes High level. Then, the transistor JQ5 is turned on, the gate and source of the transistors JQ2 and JQ4 are short-circuited, the gate voltage of each transistor becomes zero, the amplification by the preamplifier J2 and the main amplifier J3 is not performed, and the electrodeless discharge lamp J6 Turn off the light. Here, the electrodeless discharge lamp J6 should be turned off simply by short-circuiting the gate and source of the transistor JQ2 of the preamplifier J2. However, the Q of the circuit of the main amplifier J3 is high, and the gate and source of the transistor JQ2 are short-circuited. Even in this case, parasitic oscillation may occur and the light may not be completely turned off. Therefore, the light is completely turned off by simultaneously short-circuiting the gate and the source of the transistor JQ4.
[0009]
When amplification is not performed in the preamplifier J2 and the main amplifier J3 and the electrodeless discharge lamp J6 is turned off, no overcurrent flows through the resistor JR1. Then, the voltage applied to the negative input terminal of the comparator JIC1 becomes lower than the reference voltage, the transistor JQ5 is turned off, the gates and sources of the transistors JQ2 and JQ4 are opened, and a gate voltage is generated. The amplification is performed by the main amplifier J3, and the electrodeless discharge lamp J6 is turned on.
[0010]
As described above, when an abnormality occurs, the electrodeless discharge lamp J6 is controlled to blink until the abnormality is eliminated, and the average value of the input current from the DC power supply JE is limited, so that high-frequency power supply is prevented. Means are protected.
[0011]
As another conventional example, for example, Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2001-5225249 is cited (hereinafter, referred to as Conventional Example 2). FIG. 15 shows a circuit diagram of the second conventional example. In FIG. 15, the circuit device has a power supply voltage input terminal provided with power supply voltage terminals j10 and j11 serving as a voltage supply. A power supply voltage input terminal is connected to a filter and a power supply voltage rectifier GL1 connected after the filter. This filter reduces a high-frequency voltage component supplied from the circuit device to the power supply. The DC voltage output terminal of the power supply voltage rectifier GL1 is connected to a booster circuit HS1 that guarantees sinusoidal current extraction from the power supply. An intermediate circuit capacitor C30 is connected in parallel to the output terminal of the booster circuit HS1, and a supply voltage is supplied from the intermediate circuit capacitor C30 to the half-bridge inverter HW1 connected to the subsequent stage. The driving of the switching transistors of the half-bridge inverter HW1 and the booster circuit HS1 is performed by the integrated circuit IC1. The integrated circuit IC1 is supplied with its supply voltage via a voltage supply terminal j14 and another terminal j15 at ground potential.
[0012]
A load circuit configured as a resonance circuit having a resonance inductance L30, capacitors C31 and C32, and electric terminals j12 and j13 is connected to the half-bridge inverter HW1. The electric terminals j12 and j13 are connected in parallel to the capacitors C31 and C32, and serve to connect the electrodeless discharge lamp LP1, that is, to connect at least one induction coil L31 of the electrodeless discharge lamp LP1. do. One terminal of each of the capacitors C30, C31, and C32 is connected to a branch point V11 at the ground potential. Capacitor C32 decouples terminal j13 from ground terminal V11 in a DC manner.
[0013]
The
[0014]
When the lamp LP1 is not present, that is, when the induction coil L31 is not connected, the DC current path between the terminals j12 and j13 is interrupted. In this case, the integrated circuit IC1 is not supplied with the supply voltage even though the power supply voltage is supplied to the voltage input terminals j10 and j11.
[0015]
As a result, neither the half-bridge inverter HW1 nor the booster circuit HS1 can start its operation. The rise of the half-bridge inverter HW1 and the boost circuit HS1 is performed only after the DC current path is closed by connecting at least one induction coil L31 of the lamp LP1 to the terminals j12 and j13 in advance. If the electrodeless discharge lamp LP1 has many, for example two, induction coils L31, these induction coils are likewise connected to the terminals j12, j13 so as to be connected in parallel with the induction coil L31.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above conventional example 1, when the induction coil J5 comes off for some reason, depending on the constants of the main amplifier J3 and the matching circuit J4, the output current of the DC power supply JE is substantially different from the normal lighting state. In some cases, it was not possible to detect an abnormal state such as detachment of the induction coil J5.
[0019]
Further, in the above conventional example 2, even when the terminals j12 and j13 come off and the induction coil L31 itself comes off, the voltage converter HW1 and the like are not operated, and the possibility of the problem in the conventional example 1 is reduced. However, since an impedance element through which a high-frequency current flows, such as the inductor L30 and the induction coil L31, is also used as a detection circuit, high-frequency noise easily flows through the path of the capacitor C30 → the booster circuit HS1 → the power supply voltage rectifier GL1, and the terminal j10 In addition, there is a problem that high-frequency noise returning to the power supply side input from j11 increases.
[0020]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and has as its object to detect an abnormal state even when an abnormal state such as an induction coil comes off without increasing high-frequency noise. It is an object of the present invention to provide an electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device and an illuminating device which are improved.

(Example 1)
Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is a circuit diagram of the present embodiment, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the electrodeless discharge lamp 6. 3 and 4 show an embodiment of the collective electric wire, and FIG. 5 shows a sectional view of the lighting device. 6 shows an application example of the present embodiment, and FIG. 7 shows an application example of the application example of the present embodiment.
[0037]
Hereinafter, the configuration of each unit will be described in detail.
[0038]
AC power supply AC is a commercial AC power supply, and the voltage is, for example, 100 V, 200 V, or 240 V.
[0039]
The rectifier circuit E rectifies an AC voltage from the AC power supply AC into a pulsating DC voltage and outputs the rectified DC voltage. For example, the rectifier circuit E includes a diode bridge. When the voltage of the AC power supply AC is 100 V, for example, a voltage doubler rectifier circuit may be used instead of the diode bridge. When the voltage doubler rectifier circuit is used, the voltage of the AC power supply AC can be considered substantially equal to 200 V, and the current flowing through the circuit connected after the voltage doubler rectifier circuit is about half that of the case using the diode bridge. Therefore, the efficiency of the electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device can be increased.
[0040]
The AC power supply AC and the rectifier circuit E constitute a DC power supply. Here, after the rectifier circuit E, for example, a pulsating DC voltage from the rectifier circuit E as shown in FIG. 1 of JP-A-2001-35568 is converted into a desired DC voltage and output. May be provided, and a DC power supply may be configured by the AC power supply AC, the rectifier circuit E, and the boost chopper circuit. Further, a step-up / step-down chopper circuit or a step-down chopper circuit may be provided instead of the step-up chopper circuit.
