【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, the dot spacer of the touch panel is formed by spraying ink on the surface on which the dot spacer is to be formed with an ink jet printer.
Therefore, there are the following advantages as compared with the conventional photolithography method and screen printing method.
[0023]
(1) The dot height can be easily changed.
In the photolithography method, the height of the dot spacer is determined by the thickness of the applied resist, so the height can be controlled by the applied thickness. However, increasing the thickness will adversely affect ultraviolet curing, so the height must be increased. Was difficult. In the screen printing method, the height can be controlled by the screen thickness and the thixotropy of the ink. However, in these methods, the height cannot be varied within the same product.
On the other hand, in the method of the present invention, the height can be freely controlled by spraying the ink on the same location many times.
[0024]
(2) It is easy to change the dot size.
In the conventional method, the dot size was fixed depending on the hole diameter of the mask and the size of the light shielding area, but in the method of the present invention, the dot size can be changed from small to large by shifting the ink ejection position. it can.
[0025]
(3) It is easy to deal with the complexity of the print pattern.
In recent years, touch panels have been required to have advanced functions and performance, and accordingly, it has been required that dot spacers have a complicated pattern such as adoption of uneven pitches. These complicated patterns are difficult to form with the conventional technique and the mask preparation cost is high. However, the method of the present invention can easily cope with this by changing the position of the ink jet printer.
[0026]
(4) The time required for dot formation is short.
In the photolithography method, since the film is formed through long steps such as resist coating, exposure, development, washing, and drying, the process time is long. The screen printing method is a short process such as printing to curing, and the ink jet printing method can be formed in the same process.
(5) Do not use chemicals for dot formation.
In the photolithography method, a large amount of chemicals such as a resist, a developing solution and a cleaning solution are required to form a dot spacer. Although the screen printing method is not the same as the photolithography method, a large amount of an organic solvent is required for cleaning residual ink and the like. In contrast, the method of the present invention uses, at most, a small amount of chemicals for cleaning the nozzles of the ink jet printer.
[0028]
(6) Capital investment for dot formation is small.
The photolithography method and the screen printing method require a large amount of chemicals as described above, and a large capital investment is required for equipment for supplying them and equipment for processing used chemicals before disposal. In the method of the present invention, these are unnecessary, and only the ink jet printer needs to be prepared.
