Abstract
Description
【0001】

In this device, as a problem, pulsation occurs in the air flowing through the intake passage, and in a state where the pulsation occurs, if the sampling cycle for detecting the air matches the cycle of the intake pulsation, the intake air is accurately detected. It is mentioned that it cannot be detected. More specifically, when the sampling timing coincides with the largest phase of the intake pulsation, the pulsation may be detected as the intake air amount.
[0004]
Therefore, in the technology disclosed in JP-A-2002-13439, attention is paid to the fact that the period of the intake pulsation depends on the opening / closing timing of the intake valve, and the detection timing of the intake air is set based on the opening / closing timing of the intake valve. ing. As a result, even when pulsation occurs, the detection timing is set at a position indicating the average flow rate, so that the intake air amount can be detected with high accuracy.

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the region where the engine rotation speed of the internal combustion engine is high, the pulsation cycle is short, so that when trying to detect the average flow rate accurately, it is necessary to set the position indicating the average flow rate in the pulsation precisely based on the opening and closing timing of the intake valve. is there. However, since the pulsation generated by opening and closing the intake valve is detected through the intake passage, it is difficult to set the detection timing at a position indicating the average flow rate in a state in which the pulsation cycle is very short, and the pulsation still remains. There is a possibility that the intake air cannot be detected accurately. Moreover, since the detection timing is set according to the opening / closing timing of the intake valve, if the detection timing is set in advance, there is a problem that it is necessary to set the detection timing according to the opening / closing timing of the intake valve. Was.
[0006]
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and has as its object to provide an intake air amount detection device for an internal combustion engine that has a simple configuration and can accurately detect intake air even when pulsation occurs. .
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the intake air amount detection device for an internal combustion engine of claim 1, the internal combustion engine detected by the intake air amount detection means based on the pulsation cycle of the intake air amount detected by the pulsation cycle detection means by the sampling period setting means. Is set to a sampling cycle different from a predetermined sampling cycle. Thus, the pulsation cycle of the intake air amount and the sampling period do not coincide with each other, so that an error in the intake air amount and the occurrence of undulation are avoided, and the detection accuracy of the intake air amount is improved.
[0008]
The sampling period setting means in the intake air amount detection device for an internal combustion engine according to
[0009]
The pulsation cycle of the intake air amount detected by the pulsation cycle detection means may be set to a time period when the pulsation of the intake air quantity of the internal combustion engine is in a large operating range. By setting the sampling cycle to a sampling cycle different from the predetermined sampling cycle on the basis of this, an intake air amount error and swelling are avoided, and the intake air amount detection accuracy is improved.
[0010]
The operating region in which the pulsation of the intake air amount of the internal combustion engine is large in the intake air amount detection device for an internal combustion engine according to
[0011]
In the sampling period setting means in the intake air amount detecting device for an internal combustion engine according to claim 5, the difference between the integral multiple of the predetermined sampling period and the pulsation period of the intake air amount detected by the pulsation period detecting means is equal to or less than a predetermined value. In this case, the sampling cycle is set to a sampling cycle different from the predetermined sampling cycle so that the pulsation cycle of the intake air quantity does not coincide with the sampling cycle at this time. This is avoided, and the detection accuracy of the intake air amount is improved.
[0012]
The sampling period setting means in the intake air amount detecting device for an internal combustion engine according to claim 6, wherein the sampling period is set so that the pulsating period of the intake air amount detected by the pulsating period detecting unit is an integral multiple of the sampling period for detecting the intake air amount. By setting the cycle to a sampling cycle different from the predetermined sampling cycle, the detection accuracy of the intake air amount is improved.
[0013]
In the pulsation cycle detection means in the intake air amount detection device for an internal combustion engine according to claim 7, since the pulsation cycle of the intake air amount is accurately detected based on the engine rotation speed of the internal combustion engine, the setting of the sampling cycle is appropriate. Thus, the detection accuracy of the intake air amount is improved.
[0014]
In the intake air amount detection device for an internal combustion engine according to claim 8, the internal combustion engine is a direct injection engine or a diesel engine or an engine having a variable lift valve mechanism for controlling the intake air amount, and the intake passage is almost fully opened. In addition, the influence of the pulsation of the intake air amount appears more in the intake air amount detection value than in the gasoline port engine. For this reason, the sampling period of the intake air amount detection is set shorter in the operation region where the pulsation of the intake air amount is large, thereby improving the accuracy of detecting the intake air amount.
[0015]
In the intake air amount detection means in the intake air amount detection device for an internal combustion engine according to the ninth aspect, the intake air amount in the forward flow direction / reverse flow direction in the intake passage is detected at every predetermined sampling period, so that the internal combustion engine is actually detected. The amount of intake air supplied through the intake passage is accurately detected.
