Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is applied to a vehicle air conditioner or the like, and relates to a hybrid compressor having different driving sources of a vehicle prime mover and a built-in electric motor, and particularly to an overload on the built-in electric motor and an inverter that controls driving of the motor. The present invention relates to a compressor capable of preventing and improving the durability of a device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, as a hybrid compressor which is applied to a vehicle air conditioner and has different driving sources for a vehicle engine and a built-in electric motor, for example, a hybrid compressor described in Patent Document 1 is known. Such a hybrid compressor includes a single compression mechanism that can be driven by a vehicle engine or a built-in electric motor. For example, when the engine is stopped when driven by the engine, the drive is driven by the built-in electric motor. Switching is performed.
[0003]
In the above-described hybrid compressor, the drive of the built-in electric motor is usually controlled by an inverter. The inverter includes a motor drive circuit that switches a coil through which a current flows according to the rotational position of a rotor in the motor, and a control unit that controls the motor drive circuit. In such a case, there is a possibility that the motor drive circuit and, consequently, the inverter may be overheated by the heat generated by the semiconductor switching element in the motor drive circuit.
[0004]
In particular, in a conventional hybrid compressor, a single compression mechanism is selectively switched between an engine having a different output and a built-in electric motor to be driven, so that the built-in electric motor and an inverter controlling the motor may be overloaded. There is. In a hybrid compressor that switches a different drive source to drive a single compression mechanism, the capacity of the hybrid compressor is set mainly based on the output of the engine. Therefore, when the compression mechanism is driven by the built-in electric motor, an excessive load may be applied to the built-in electric motor. If the inverter is overheated, it is possible to protect the built-in electric motor and the inverter by lowering the rotation speed of the built-in electric motor. However, this may reduce the cooling capacity and increase the temperature of the passenger compartment. There is.
[0005]
Therefore, in order to prevent overheating of the inverter, it is necessary to cool the inverter. For this reason, conventionally, measures such as a method of providing heat radiation fins outside the inverter to cool the inverter by outside air or a method of providing an air cooling fan to cool the inverter have been taken. However, the above method requires a space for installing a radiation fin and an air-cooling fan, which may lead to an increase in the size of the inverter and an increase in the space for installing the compressor.
[0006]
In an electric compressor that uses only the built-in electric motor as a drive source, an inverter motor drive circuit is installed near a refrigerant suction passage in the compressor, and the inverter motor drive circuit is cooled by heat exchange with the suction refrigerant. A proposal has been made (Patent Document 2). However, in this proposal, when the compressor is stopped due to overheating of the motor drive circuit, cooling by the suction refrigerant is not performed, so that it may take a long time before the compressor is restarted.
[0007]
For this reason, although the application is not yet published, the present applicant has previously made a first compression mechanism (first compression chamber) driven only by the engine of the vehicle and a second compression mechanism driven only by the built-in electric motor. There has been proposed a hybrid compressor in which a compression mechanism (second compression chamber) is integrally assembled and a first compressor and a second compressor can be selectively or simultaneously driven (Patent Document 3). In such a proposal, the engine and the built-in electric motor each drive a different compression mechanism, and the capacity of each compression mechanism can be set according to the output of each drive source. The overload on the inverter can be reduced.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to solve the problems of the conventional hybrid compressor as described above, and to further improve the protection effect of the built-in electric motor and the inverter proposed by the applicant of the present invention, and to improve the durability of the compressor. To provide a hybrid compressor that can improve the performance.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, a hybrid compressor according to the present invention includes a first compression mechanism driven only by a vehicle prime mover, a second compression mechanism driven only by a built-in electric motor, a motor drive circuit, and a control circuit. And an inverter for controlling the drive of the built-in electric motor, wherein at least a motor drive circuit of the inverter is arranged close to a wall of a refrigerant suction passage formed in a housing of the compressor. Consisting of
[0011]
The refrigerant suction passage is preferably a refrigerant suction passage for introducing a refrigerant into at least the second compression mechanism. That is, at least the refrigerant suction passage for introducing the refrigerant into the second compression mechanism is a passage formed closest to the built-in electric motor that is the drive source of the second compression mechanism and the inverter that controls the drive of the motor. The configuration of the present invention can be most easily realized.

Further, the refrigerant suction passage may be configured as a common refrigerant suction passage for introducing refrigerant into both the first compression mechanism and the second compression mechanism. For example, if the refrigerant suction passage is formed in the path to the motor chamber of the built-in electric motor, the suction chamber of the second compression mechanism, and the suction chamber of the first compression mechanism, a common refrigerant suction passage for both compression mechanisms can be easily formed. . Further, if the refrigerant suction passage is formed in the forward path as described above, the common operation can be prevented by driving the first compression mechanism even if the driving of the second compression mechanism is stopped in order to prevent overheating of the inverter. Since the refrigerant flows through the refrigerant suction passage, the inverter can be cooled effectively and quickly even after the second compression mechanism is stopped.
[0013]
In the above-described hybrid compressor, at least the motor drive circuit of the inverter is close to the wall of the refrigerant suction passage for introducing the refrigerant into the compressor, so that the air in the motor drive circuit flows through the refrigerant suction passage. Heat is exchanged with the refrigerant, and the inverter, especially the motor drive circuit which is easily overheated, can be effectively cooled. Therefore, the inverter can be housed in the housing of the hybrid compressor to promote miniaturization and space saving of the device, prevent overheating of the inverter, and improve the durability of the device. Further, since the first compression mechanism and the second compression mechanism can be driven independently or simultaneously, the drive of the built-in electric motor is stopped or the rotation speed is reduced for the purpose of protecting the inverter, and the drive of the second compression mechanism is stopped. Alternatively, in the case where the discharge capacity is reduced, if the first compression mechanism is driven, the shortage of the discharge capacity can be sufficiently compensated, so that the temperature in the vehicle compartment can be prevented from rising. For example, the inverter is provided with detecting means for detecting the temperature of at least the drive circuit of the inverter, and the driving of the vehicle prime mover and / or the built-in electric motor is controlled by the vehicle air conditioner based on the detection signal of the means. Just fine.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the case of the hybrid compressor of the present invention, the inverter is housed in the housing of the compressor because the inverter is close to the wall of the refrigerant suction passage, so that the device can be reduced in size and installation space can be reduced. In addition, overheating of the inverter is prevented, and the durability of the hybrid compressor can be improved. Further, even if the driving of the second compression mechanism is stopped to prevent overheating of the inverter, the insufficient discharge capacity can be sufficiently compensated for by the driving of the first compression mechanism.
[0029]
Further, since the refrigerant suction passage is configured as a common refrigerant suction passage for the first compression mechanism and the second compression mechanism, the drive of the built-in electric motor is stopped to protect the inverter, and the drive of the second compression mechanism is stopped. Even if is stopped, the refrigerant flows in the refrigerant suction passage if the first compression mechanism is driven. Therefore, cooling of the inverter can be performed effectively and quickly.
