[Patent Document 1] JP-A-6-266474 (
[Patent Document 2] JP-A-7-142886 (
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 6-266474 discloses an electronic device including a main body housing accommodating a wiring board on which a heating element is mounted, and a display device housing provided with a display panel and rotatably attached to the main body housing. A structure in which a heat receiving jacket attached to a heating element, a heat radiating pipe installed in a display device housing, and a liquid driving mechanism are connected by a flexible tube is shown.

JP-A-7-142886 discloses an example in which the housing is made of metal in the example of JP-A-6-266474.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
2. Description of the Related Art In an electronic device represented by a portable personal computer or the like, the heat generation of elements is remarkable due to the improvement in performance. On the other hand, there is a demand for a smaller and thinner housing suitable for carrying.
[0005]
As means for cooling a semiconductor element in a computer, there are a heat transfer method in which heat is radiated to the outside by heat conduction, an air circulation method in which cooling air is blown by a fan, and a water cooling method in which a large computer circulates water to cool.
[0006]
As described above, in recent years, semiconductor elements have been generating high heat, and it is no longer possible to use a heat transfer method or an air circulation method.
[0007]
Therefore, it has been reconsidered that a water-cooled system is mounted on a portable personal computer as in the above-described conventional technology, and further improvement in cooling performance and safety is required.
[0008]
An object of the present invention is to further improve cooling performance and safety in a water-cooled electronic device.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The above-described problems include, for example, a heat-receiving jacket connected to a heating element, a main body case and a display containing liquid driving means, a tank storing refrigerant liquid, and a display case containing a heat-radiating panel thermally connected to a refrigerant liquid flow path. In an electronic device in which a heat receiving jacket, a liquid driving means, a refrigerant liquid flow path and a tank are connected by a tube, and a refrigerant liquid is sealed therein to form a circulating flow, a fluororesin coating is applied to a liquid contact portion of the heat receiving jacket. It is solved by applying.
A heat receiving jacket (heat receiving member) is thermally connected to the heating element, and a pipe is thermally connected (heat radiating member) to a heat radiating panel installed on the back of the display (display device). The refrigerant liquid is circulated between them. Further, a tank is connected in the circulation path of the refrigerant liquid, and the refrigerant liquid is always supplied in the circulation path. Further, the display case (second housing) is a mechanism for opening and closing the display case (second housing) with respect to the main body case (first housing) in which the heating element is housed. Using. This coolant liquid always needs a predetermined amount or more to cool the heating element. When the electronic device is used for a long period of time or when the electronic device is left for a long period of time, the coolant liquid corrodes metal parts in the flow path. Furthermore, there is a concern that the heat generation element may not be able to be cooled because of the shortage of the refrigerant liquid from the inside of the minute amount circulation path and eventually the shortage of the refrigerant liquid. In order to prevent this, a liquid resin coating is applied to the liquid contact portion in the flow channel. In addition, the proportion of chlorine in the tube is reduced to suppress the elution of chloride ions that have a large effect on corrosion. Further, in order to reduce the temperature in the system and to prevent the liquid refrigerant from coming out of the circulation path, heat is radiated from the heat receiving jacket through a plurality of paths. A pressure reducing means is provided in the tank to reduce the pressure applied in the circulation path. The heat dissipating panel is placed inside the main body case to minimize the amount of flexible tubes used.
[0010]
By the above means, the cooling performance and safety of the water-cooled electronic device can be further improved.

On the other hand, when the antifreeze is used as the refrigerant liquid, the permeation of the antifreeze from the channel increases with time because most of the antifreeze components are water.
When the concentration of the antifreeze liquid increases and the viscosity of the liquid increases, the circulation amount decreases and the cooling performance decreases. Therefore, when the replenishment of the liquid is not performed due to the permeation of water, the liquid amount (capacity of the tank 5) in the flow path and the working circulating liquid amount of the system are determined in consideration of the increase in the antifreeze concentration.
When the viscosity of the liquid increases, the concentration of the antifreeze liquid can be maintained within the specified range only by replenishing commercially available pure water.

By the way, although not shown in the cooling device shown in FIG. 4, the heat radiating components shown in FIG. This cooling kit is described on the premise that it is mounted on the electronic device (notebook personal computer) described in the present embodiment. However, the cooling kit is not necessarily required to be an electronic device (notebook personal computer). There is no problem even if it is mounted on an electronic device such as a plasma television, a liquid crystal projector used in a conference or the like, a desktop computer, etc., and it is extremely easy to mount it on the kit because it is a kit.

Comparing (a) and (b) under the condition that the heat transfer area from the flow path surface to the refrigerant liquid is equal, when the flow rates are the same, the flow velocity flowing in the flow path is higher in (a) and the heat transfer efficiency is higher. However, since the flow resistance is also larger in (a), the operating flow rate is smaller in (a) in consideration of the operating point determined by the capacity of the pump.
Therefore, it is necessary to select the structures (a) and (b) in consideration of the pump capacity and the overall flow resistance.
