Abstract
Description
【0001】

A gland packing according to a seventh aspect of the present invention is characterized in that the gland packing is twisted using a plurality of the gland packing materials according to any one of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth aspects. .
[0015]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, it is possible to externally reinforce the band-shaped expanded graphite with the reinforcing material formed of the spread sheet.
In addition, the bonding force between the band-shaped expanded graphite and the reinforcing member is increased by an anchoring action in which the band-shaped expanded graphite faces a number of openings provided in the reinforcing member made of the spread sheet and engages with the reinforcing member. Even if the amount of the agent is limited to zero or a very small amount, the shape retention is enhanced, and the reinforcing material is less likely to separate from the band-shaped expanded graphite during braiding or twisting for manufacturing the gland packing, and the external reinforcing effect Can be effectively exhibited.
Further, since the amount of the adhesive used can be limited to zero or a very small amount, it is possible to suppress a decrease in properties (affinity, compression restoring property, etc.) of the band-shaped expanded graphite due to the curing of the adhesive.
In addition, since the reinforcing material is entangled inside the gland packing material, when compression or pressure is applied, the band-shaped expanded graphite has a sandwich structure, so that the movement of the expanded graphite particles is suppressed, that is, the expanded graphite particles The amount of protrusion is suppressed, the reduction of the sealing surface pressure is prevented, the pressure resistance is improved, and the sealing force can be improved by increasing the pressure contact force with the mating member.
[0016]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the belt-shaped expanded graphite can be externally reinforced by the reinforcing member made of the spread sheet.
In addition, the bonding force between the band-shaped expanded graphite and the reinforcing member is increased by an anchoring action in which the band-shaped expanded graphite faces a number of openings provided in the reinforcing member made of the spread sheet and engages with the reinforcing member. [0018]
Even when a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet is provided on one surface of the expanded belt-like graphite as in the invention according to the fourth aspect, the external reinforcing effect can be effectively exerted.
[0019]
As in the invention according to
[0020]
By setting the thickness of the spread sheet to 10 μm to 300 μm, preferably 30 μm to 100 μm as in the invention according to
[0021]
According to the invention of claim 7, since the gland packing is braided by using a plurality of the gland packing materials, the shape retention of the gland packing is enhanced, and the pressing force is enhanced. In addition, sealing performance can be improved. Further, even when used under high heat conditions, there is no reduction in the sealing performance due to the burning out of the adhesive.
[0022]
According to the eighth aspect of the present invention, since the gland packing is twisted using a plurality of the gland packing materials, the shape retention of the gland packing is enhanced, and the pressing force is enhanced. Thereby, the sealing performance can be improved. Further, even when used under high heat conditions, there is no reduction in the sealing performance due to the burning out of the adhesive.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, since the gland packing material and the gland packing are configured, the following special effects can be obtained.
[0043]
According to the invention described in any one of the first, second and third aspects, it is possible to obtain a gland packing material having an outer reinforcement structure in which the expanded expanded graphite is reinforced outside the spread sheet. In addition, the bonding force between the band-shaped expanded graphite and the reinforcing member is increased by an anchoring action in which the band-shaped expanded graphite faces a number of openings provided in the reinforcing member made of the spread sheet and engages with the reinforcing member. Even if the amount of the agent is limited to zero or a very small amount, the shape retention is enhanced, and the reinforcing material is less likely to separate from the band-shaped expanded graphite when braiding or twisting for manufacturing the gland packing, and the external reinforcing effect Can be effectively exhibited. Further, since the amount of the adhesive used can be limited to zero or a very small amount, it is possible to suppress a decrease in properties (affinity, compression restoring property, etc.) of the band-shaped expanded graphite due to the curing of the adhesive. In addition, since the reinforcing material is entangled inside the gland packing material, a sandwich structure is formed when compression or pressure is applied, so that movement of the expanded graphite particles is suppressed, that is, the amount of the expanded graphite particles protruding is suppressed. In addition, the sealing performance can be improved by preventing the reduction of the sealing surface pressure, improving the pressure resistance, and increasing the pressure contact force with the mating member. Furthermore, it is easy to manufacture by twisting or gluing the base material or winding and twisting to form the outer reinforcement structure, so that productivity is improved and an inexpensive gland packing material is provided. can do.
[0044]
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, the strip-shaped expanded graphite and the reinforcing member made of the spread sheet are twisted without being separated, or are wound in the form of a roll, or are twisted by winding. A gland packing material having an outer reinforcement structure in which a sheet is wound inside can be easily obtained.
[0045]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the reinforcing material made of the spread sheet and the band-shaped expanded graphite are twisted without being separated, or wound in the form of a roll, or twisted by winding. The gland packing material of the outer reinforcement structure in which the sheet is wound inside can be easily obtained, and the amount of winding in which the reinforcing material is wound inside increases, and the inside can be reinforced, so the tensile strength of the gland packing material can be improved. The contact pressure with the member on the other side can be further increased by increasing the amount of entanglement into the inside as well as improving.
