本発明は、PDC(Personal Digital Cellular)、PHS(Personal Handy−Phone System)、CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)、GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication)、手帳並みの大きさのPDA(個人向け小型携帯情報端末:Personal Digital Assistants)や携帯型のパソコン等の携帯端末装置に関し、特に、使用者に対する面にそれぞれ異なった機能を備える一方の筐体と他方の筐体とにおける端部を回転機構で連結し、前記使用者に対する面をそれぞれ同一方向に向けた状態で相対的に回動可能に構成した携帯端末装置に関するものである。
【0002】
携帯端末装置には、データの高速伝送が可能なPDC(Personal Digital Cellular)、PHS(Personal Handy−Phone System)、CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)、GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication)や、さらに、次世代の技術として開発されているWCDMA(Wide band CDMA)、CDMA2000等の通信手段を用いた携帯電話、手帳並みの大きさのPDA(個人向け小型携帯情報端末:Personal Digital Assistants)や携帯型のパソコンなど、種々のものがつくられている。
【0003】

[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the portable terminal device 100 illustrated in FIGS. 18A and 18B, one housing 101 rotates horizontally with respect to a surface 103 a of the other housing 103 having the operation unit 106 and the transmitting unit 105. Due to the structure, one housing 101 slides with the operation unit 106 of the other housing 103, and as a result, the symbol on the top surface of the operation unit 106 is scraped by the one housing 101, and the symbol can be read. In addition to the problem, there is a problem that the surface of the one housing 101 opposite to the earpiece 108 is also damaged or soiled.
[0009]
In addition, since one housing 101 is configured to rotate horizontally with respect to the surface 103 a of the other housing 103 having the operation unit 106 and the transmitting unit 105, the one housing 101 is connected to the other housing 103. When opened, the surface 103a of the other housing 103 having the operation unit 106 and the transmitting unit 105 is arranged in parallel with the surface 102 of the one housing 101 having the display unit 107 and the receiving unit 108, and Since it is disposed behind the surface 102 having the display unit 107 and the receiving unit 108 of the one housing 101, the receiving unit 108 of the one housing 101 is brought close to the ear of the user to make a call. However, the transmitting section 105 of the other housing 103 cannot be brought close to the mouth of the user, and as a result, the sound collection rate is poor, and there is also a problem that a clear call sound cannot be transmitted to the other party.
[0010]
Also, in the portable terminal device 110 shown in FIGS. 19A and 19B, in the initial stage of rotation, one of the housings 111 is positioned on the surface 116 having the operation unit 121 and the transmitting unit 120 of the other housing 115. Because of the horizontally rotating structure, one housing 111 slides with the operation unit 121 of the other housing 115, and as a result, the symbol on the top surface of the operation unit 121 is cut by the one housing 111. As a result, the symbols cannot be read, and the surface of one of the housings 111 on the opposite side to the earpiece 123 is damaged or soiled.
[0011]
Therefore, in the present invention, one housing and the other housing, each having a different function on the surface for the user, are connected by a rotation mechanism, and the surfaces for the user are relatively oriented in the same direction. In a portable terminal device that is rotatable, a simple and inexpensive configuration allows one housing to rotate so as not to rub against the surface of the other housing when rotating, A portable terminal device in which one housing and the other housing have a predetermined angle at a position rotated by about 180 degrees from a state in which the housings are overlapped, thereby improving usability. And a method for opening and closing the same.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention
One housing provided with different functions on the surface for the user and the other housing are connected via a rotating mechanism, and the two housings are arranged so that the respective surfaces for the user are substantially in the same direction. In a portable terminal device that can be relatively rotated in a state of facing,
The rotating mechanism tilts the one housing with respect to the housing of the other housing at least at an initial stage of rotation of the one housing and the other housing to separate the two housings from each other. It has a moving mechanism.
[0013]
By doing so, at least at the beginning of rotation of the one housing and the other housing having different functions on the surface for the user, one housing is relatively moved with respect to the other housing. By separating, the surfaces of the housings can be prevented from being rubbed.
[0014]
The rotation mechanism includes an urging means for urging the one housing toward a surface having a function of the other housing.
[0015]
By doing so, one housing can be biased toward the surface having the function of the other housing, so that one of the housings can be prevented from rattling due to the swing mechanism provided in the rotation mechanism. .
[0016]
Further, the rotation mechanism changes an angle formed by each of the surfaces having the functions of the one housing and the other housing in accordance with the relative rotation of the one housing and the other housing. It is characterized by having means.
[0017]
With this configuration, one housing can be tilted at a predetermined angle with respect to the other housing. For example, as a function provided in each housing, an operation unit is provided in the other housing. In the case where a display unit is provided in one of the housings, a portable terminal device can be provided in which the display unit can be turned to the user in data input, input while looking at the display unit is facilitated, and usability is greatly improved. can do. In the case where the portable terminal device is a mobile phone including a transmitting unit in the other housing and a receiving unit in the one housing, the user may bring the receiving unit closer to the ear to transmit. Since the talk section can be brought close to the mouth of the user, the sound collection rate can be increased.
[0018]
The angle control means can maintain a constant angle between the surfaces having the functions of the two housings after the initial rotation from the state in which the two housings are overlapped, and thereafter increase the angle. I do.
[0019]
Alternatively, the angle control means can gradually increase the angle between the surfaces having the functions of the two housings after the initial rotation from the state where the two housings are overlapped.
[0020]
By doing so, in any case, when the one housing is tilted at a predetermined angle with respect to the other housing, the separation at the initial rotation can be achieved with a very light force.
[0021]
The angle control means includes a guide provided on the one housing side or the other housing side, and a projection provided on the other housing or the one housing and abutting on the guide unit. The function of the one housing and the other housing is performed by the convex portion slidingly moving on the guide portion with the relative rotation of the one housing and the other housing. It is characterized in that the angle between each of the surfaces provided is changed.
[0022]
By doing so, the convex portion slides on the guide portion, so that one of the housings can be smoothly tilted with respect to the other housing to a predetermined angle with the rotation of the two housings. Can be.
[0023]
In a state where the two housings are overlapped with each other, there is provided a concave portion in which the convex portion falls at a position of the guide portion facing the convex portion.
[0024]
With this configuration, it is possible to prevent the two housings from rotating against the user's will in a state where the two housings are overlapped.
[0025]
The rotation mechanism includes a first base member having a mounting hole fixed to the other housing, and a rotating body fixed to the one housing and rotatably engaged with the mounting hole. A second base member provided, wherein the second base member is configured to be swingable about a swing axis orthogonal to an axis of the rotating body by the swing mechanism, and the one housing side Is provided with a convex portion, a guide portion with which the convex portion is in contact with the other housing side, and an urging means for urging the convex portion toward the guide portion.
[0026]
By doing so, it is possible to configure the rotating mechanism with a simple structure without increasing the size thereof, and it is possible to effectively prevent rubbing of the surfaces and functions of the housings at the beginning of rotation. Further, it is possible to smoothly tilt one housing to the other housing to a predetermined angle without play.
[0027]
The urging means is made of an elastic body that is elastically deformed and disposed between the second base member and the rotating body, and applies the convex portion to the guide section by a restoring force of the elastic body. The present invention is characterized in that an urging force is generated.
[0028]
By doing so, the biasing means can be configured with a simple structure.
[0029]
The second base member includes a fixing plate fixed to the one housing and a tubular body provided integrally with the fixing plate, and the tubular body includes the tubular body. The second base member and the second base member fixed to the rotating body so as to be able to swing with respect to the rotating shaft disposed through and orthogonal to the axis of the rotating body so as to be orthogonal to the axis of the rotating body. The oscillating mechanism is formed by connecting the rotating bodies, and the urging means is made of an elastic body that is elastically deformed and disposed between the cylindrical body and the rotating body. The present invention is characterized in that an urging force for urging the projection provided on the one housing side to the guide portion provided on the other housing side by a force is generated.
[0030]
Further, the second base member is a bracket provided with an undulating bearing fixed to one housing, and the rotator includes an undulating shaft projecting in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the rotator, The oscillating shaft is inserted into the undulating bearing to connect the bracket and the rotating body to form a swinging mechanism, and the urging means elastically deforms the bracket and the rotating body between the bracket and the rotating body. And a biasing force for biasing the convex portion provided on the one housing side to the guide portion provided on the other housing side by a restoring force of the elastic body. I do.
[0031]
Further, the second base member is a bracket having a through hole fixed to one of the housings, and a pair of undulating shaft plates protruding inward of the through hole is disposed in the through hole so as to face each other. On the outer peripheral surface of the rotating body, a groove formed halfway in the axial direction of the rotating body is disposed so as to face the rotating body, and the rotating body is inserted through the through hole of the bracket, and the up-down shaft plate of the bracket is The bracket and the rotating body are connected to each other by engaging and supporting the groove in the rotating body to form a swinging mechanism, and the urging means elastically deforms between the bracket and the rotating body. And a biasing force for biasing the convex portion provided on the one housing side to the guide portion provided on the other housing side by a restoring force of the elastic body. I do.
[0032]
By doing so, it is possible to configure a simple structure without increasing the size of the rotating mechanism, and to effectively prevent rubbing of the surfaces and functions of each other at the beginning of rotation. Further, it is possible to smoothly tilt one housing to a predetermined angle with respect to the other housing without rattling.
[0033]
In a state where the two housings are overlapped with each other, there is provided a concave portion in which the convex portion falls at a position of the guide portion facing the convex portion.
[0034]
With this configuration, it is possible to prevent the two housings from rotating against the user's will in a state where the two housings are overlapped.
[0035]
The rotation mechanism has a positioning mechanism at at least a position where the two housings are overlapped with each other and a position rotated by approximately 180 degrees from the position.
[0036]
In this manner, at least at the position where the two housings are overlapped and at the position where the two housings are rotated by approximately 180 degrees, the two housings are prevented from rotating against the user's will. be able to.
[0037]
The rotating body is hollow, and a lead wire for a power supply or a signal guided by one housing and the other housing is inserted into the hollow portion.
[0038]
By doing so, it is possible to reliably transmit a signal or a power supply between the two housings by the lead wire without providing a contact to the rotating mechanism.
[0039]
On the other hand, the present invention
The ends of the one housing and the other housing that are overlapped with each other are joined together, and the one housing is turned in a state in which the surfaces on the same side of the one housing and the other housing are oriented in substantially the same direction. An opening and closing method in a portable terminal device including a rotation mechanism configured to open and close by rotating relatively to the other housing,
At least at the beginning of rotation of the one housing, the one housing is relatively separated from the other housing.
[0040]
By doing so, it is possible to prevent the surfaces of the housings from being rubbed at least at the beginning of rotation of the housings.
[0041]
Further, after the initial rotation, when the one housing is rotated relative to the other housing by the rotation mechanism, an angle formed between the one housing and the other housing is kept constant. After being kept, it is increased to reach a predetermined angle.
[0042]
With this configuration, one housing can be tilted at a predetermined angle with respect to the other housing. For example, an operation unit is provided in the other housing, and a display unit is provided in one housing. In the case where the mobile terminal device is provided, it is possible to direct the display unit to the user in data input, so that it is easy to perform input while looking at the display unit, and it is possible to provide a mobile terminal device with greatly improved usability. In the case where the portable terminal device is a mobile phone including a transmitting unit in the other housing and a receiving unit in the one housing, the user may bring the receiving unit closer to the ear to transmit. Since the talk section can be brought close to the mouth of the user, the sound collection rate can be increased.
[0043]
Further, after the initial rotation, when the one housing is rotated relative to the other housing by the rotation mechanism, an angle formed between the one housing and the other housing gradually increases. It is characterized in that it increases to reach a predetermined angle.
[0044]
Further, if the predetermined angle is gradually increased with the rotation, the separation at the beginning of the rotation can be achieved with a very small force.

[0050]
Next, a detailed structure of the first embodiment of the connecting portion 3 provided in the portable terminal device of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
[0051]
The connecting portion 3 has a substantially cylindrical first base member 11 having an axis perpendicular to the facing surface 2 a having the transmitting portion 4 of the other housing 2, and an inside of the first base member 11. A rotating body 12 having a substantially cylindrical shape rotatably fitted to the rotating body 12 and connecting the rotating body 12 to one housing 1 and tilting the one housing 1 with respect to the rotating body 12 And a joint 13 having a mechanism.
[0052]
The joint portion 13 includes a tubular body 14 disposed in the rotating body 12, a rotating shaft 15 disposed through the tubular body 14 at right angles to an axis of the tubular body 14, A fixing plate 14a provided at an end of the body 14; the fixing plate 14a provided on the tubular body 14 is joined to the facing surface 1a of the one housing 1 and both ends of the rotating shaft 15 are fixed to the rotating body 12; By doing so, one housing 1 and the rotating body 12 are connected. At this time, the rotating shaft 15 is disposed so as to be orthogonal to the axis of the rotating body 12 and parallel to the end surface 2 c of the other housing 2. The rotating body 12 and the rotating body 12 constitute a tilting mechanism that can tilt the one housing 1 with respect to the other housing 2.
[0053]
That is, the cylindrical body 14 can be tilted with respect to the rotating body 12 about the rotating shaft 15, and as shown in FIGS. When the end of the body 1 opposite to the connecting portion 3 is lifted with respect to the facing surface 2a having the transmitting section 4 of the other housing 2, one housing 1 is inclined with respect to the other housing 2. It is possible to make it.
[0054]
Reference numeral 16 denotes an elastic body attached to the end of the cylindrical body 14 opposite to the fixing plate 14a. The elastic body 16 is urged against the inner wall surface 12a of the rotating body 12 by the elastic action. The end of one housing 1 opposite to the connecting portion 3 is pressed against the facing surface 2 a of the other housing 2 having the transmitting section 4.
[0055]
Further, one end of the first base member 11 is provided with a flange portion 11a, and this flange portion 11a is connected to the facing surface 2a side of the other housing 2, and the other end of the first base member 11 is provided at the top. Half of the area is cut out to form a stepped portion having a reduced height. The bottom surface of the stepped portion is used as a guide surface 11b, and concave portions 11c and 11d are formed at its start point S and end point E, respectively. Further, the guide surface 11b has the same height from near the start point S to halfway, and is slightly higher near the end point E. The guide surface 11b may be an inclined surface whose height gradually increases from the start point S to the end point E.
[0056]
The convex portion 14b provided on the fixed plate 14a forming the second base member is guided while sliding along the guide surface 11b of the first base member 11. The line connecting the start point S and the end point E of the guide surface 11b is arranged so as to be orthogonal to the rotation axis 15, the start point S of the guide surface 11b is on the operation unit 5 side, and the end point E of the guide surface 11b is The other housing 2 is located on the end face 2c side.
[0057]
Next, the open / closed state of the portable terminal device 10 shown in FIG. 1 will be described. First, as shown in FIG. 1A, when one housing 1 is closed with respect to the other housing 2, as shown in FIGS. Since the convex portion 14b is engaged with the concave portion 11c provided on the starting point S side of the first base member 11, the one housing 1 does not rotate around the connecting portion 3 with respect to the other housing 2. It has become.
[0058]
As described above, when the mobile terminal device 10 is a mobile phone, if there is an incoming call in a state where the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are overlapped, reception of the caller's name, telephone number, and the like is performed. The information is displayed on the display unit 6, and the transmitting unit 4 and the receiving unit 7 located farther from the transmitting unit 4 (near the connecting unit 3) are operated, and the vicinity of the transmitting unit 4 (the end opposite to the connecting unit 3) is operated. The receiver 8 in the section (1) is deactivated. Then, a telephone call can be made by pressing an off-hook operation unit (not shown) and bringing the receiver 7 closer to the ear. At this time, since the mobile terminal device 10 is in a superimposed state, the mobile terminal device 10 does not have a sufficient length to arrange the transmitting unit 4 near the mouth, but the transmitting unit 4 increases the sensitivity to transmit. Speaking sounds can be collected.
[0059]
Next, in order to open one housing 1 from a closed state with respect to the other housing 2, as shown in FIGS. 5A, 6A and 7A, one housing 1 is opened. The end 1d of the body 1 on the side opposite to the connecting portion 3 is lifted with respect to the facing surface 2a having the transmitting section 4 of the other casing 2, and the one casing 1 is moved to the transmitting section 4 of the other casing 2. Is inclined with respect to the facing surface 2a having At this time, the convex portion 14b of the second base member is separated from the concave portion 11c on the starting point S side of the first base member 11.
[0060]
Next, as shown in FIG. 5B, one of the housings 1 is rotated about the axis of the first base member 11, and at this time, the protrusion 14b of the second base member is It is guided to the end point E while sliding on the guide surface 11b, and the one housing 1 is rotated while being inclined with respect to the opposing surface 2a having the transmitting section 4 of the other housing 2. ing. Therefore, since the operation unit 5 provided on the opposing surface 2a of the other housing 2 does not slide with the one housing 1, symbols or the like provided on the top surface of the operation unit 5 are cut by the one housing 1. Can be prevented, and the opposing surface 1a of one housing 1 can be prevented from being soiled.
[0061]
Further, when one housing 1 rotates with respect to the other housing 2, one housing 1 is guided while being supported by the first base member 11. , The backlash of one housing 1 can be suppressed. Further, since the first base member 11 is formed with a step, the one housing 1 is prevented from rotating in the direction of the arrow shown by the dotted line in FIG. It is possible to prevent a lead wire (not shown) or the like inserted into the rotating body 14 forming the third member 3 from becoming entangled.
[0062]
Then, as shown in FIGS. 5 (c), 6 (B), and 7 (B), one of the housings 1 is rotated by approximately 180 degrees, and the protrusion 14b of the second base member is moved to the guide surface 11b. The rotation is completed by engaging with the concave portion 11d provided at the end point E, so that one housing 1 can be opened in a state of being inclined with respect to the other housing 2. In the opened state, the angle β formed between the outer surface 1b of the one housing 1 having the receivers 7 and 8 and the opposite surface 2a of the other housing 2 having the transmitter 4 is greater than 90 degrees, and The range is preferably smaller than 180 degrees, more preferably larger than 150 degrees and smaller than 180 degrees.
[0063]
When there is a reception in this opened state, the reception information such as the name and the telephone number of the caller is displayed on the display unit 6, and the transmission unit 4 and the distant from the transmission unit 4 (the connection unit 3). The receiving unit 8 at the end opposite to the above is operated, and the receiving unit 7 near the transmitting unit 4 (near the connecting unit 3) is deactivated. Next, when the off-hook button (not shown) is pressed and the receiver 8 is brought closer to the ear of the user, the transmitter 4 of the other housing 2 can be brought closer to the mouth of the user, thereby increasing the sound collection rate. It is possible to transmit a beautiful transmission sound to the other party.
[0064]
Next, a second embodiment of the portable terminal device according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 8 is a perspective view for explaining a method of opening and closing one housing 1 and the other housing 2 in the second embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention, and FIG. 9 is a second embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention. FIG. 10 is an exploded view of an example of a rotation mechanism according to a second embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention, wherein FIG. 10A is a view seen from above, and FIG. FIG. 11 is a view seen from below, and FIG. 11 is a cross-sectional view of one example of a rotating mechanism according to a second embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention. FIG. 2B is a view showing a state in which one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are rotated substantially 180 degrees with each other.
[0065]
8 and FIG. 9, the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are shown in a rectangular parallelepiped shape of the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 in FIG. It has a bearing hole 22 (FIG. 9) for the undulating shaft 62 provided in the rotating body of the rotating mechanism, and is fixed to one housing 1, 60 is a spring, 75 and 76 are one housing 1 and the other. A hole provided with the rotating mechanism 20 provided in the housing 2 of the housing 2, 77 and 78 are rotation preventing recesses, and 61 is a rotation having an undulating shaft 62 inserted through the hole 22 of the bracket 21 to incline one housing 1. A body 63 is a lever having a convex portion 64 and fixed to one of the housings 1 by a projection 65 for preventing rotation, and 66 is a housing 1 of the other housing 2 in which the rotating body 61 is rotatably fitted. Side, and the one housing 1 is rotated by the contact of the convex portion 64 of the lever 63. After the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are separated from each other during the period, a guide portion 67 having an inclined surface 67a for providing a predetermined angle between the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 is provided. A sleeve having a concave portion 68 for positioning the projection 64 of the lever 63 when the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are overlapped with each other, 69 is a friction plate, 70 is one housing 1 and the other housing. It has a concave portion 70a of a locking mechanism for positioning corresponding to a use state in which the bodies 2 are superimposed and a non-use state in which the bodies 2 are rotated by about 180 degrees. The holder 71 fixed to the rotating body 61 is made of an elastic body, has a projection 72 constituting a locking mechanism for positioning the one housing 1 and the other housing 2, and is fixed to the rotating body 61. A spring for rotating 61 in the other housing 2 Is the rate.
[0066]
Also in the second embodiment, at least at the initial stage of rotating the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 relatively, the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are separated from each other, Thereafter, there is provided means for gradually increasing the angle between the surfaces having the functions of the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 to a predetermined angle.
[0067]
That is, in the portable terminal device of the second embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8 (A), the ends where one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are overlapped with each other are connected by a rotation mechanism 20, and 8 (B), 8 (C), and 8 (D), one housing 1 and the other housing 2 face the same side in the same direction. It is configured to be rotatable relative to the body 2. In addition, with this rotation, at least at the initial stage of the rotation, the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are separated from each other, and for example, an operation unit provided on the opposing surface of the one housing 1 and the other housing 5 and the like can be prevented from being rubbed or scratched, and when one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are rotated by approximately 180 degrees from the superimposed position, The other housing 2 is configured to generate the same predetermined angle θ as the angle of the inclined portion 23 provided on the other housing 2 side of the one housing 1 with respect to the housing 1. Therefore, for example, when the mobile terminal device 10 is a mobile phone, if the display unit 6 is provided on one housing 1 and the operation unit 5 is provided on the other housing 2, the display unit 6 can be always visible and used in the use state. Since the display unit 6 is inclined toward the user, the operation unit 5 is easy to operate, and in a mobile phone or the like, the reception unit 8 and the transmission unit 4 approach the ear and the mouth, respectively, and are very easy to use. .
[0068]
8 and 9, reference numeral 20 denotes a rotation mechanism shown in detail in FIGS. 10 and 11, and reference numeral 21 denotes a bearing hole 22 for receiving an undulating shaft 62 provided on a rotating body 61 of the rotation mechanism 20. Then, a bracket as a second base member fixed to one housing 1. That is, one housing 1 can be rotated in a direction to separate one housing 1 from the other housing 2 by the undulating shaft 61 inserted into the bearing hole 22 of the bracket 21, and further rotated. The mechanism 20 can be turned around the mechanism 20 in the arrow direction indicated by 24 in FIG. 8B. The rotating mechanism 20 is provided with a sleeve 66 as a first base member having a concave portion 68 and a guide portion 67, as described later. 8 receives a force in the direction away from the other housing 2, and the one housing 1 rotates as shown in FIG. 8C without rubbing on the other housing 2. At the same time, the angle between one housing 1 and the other housing 2 gradually increases with the rotation. Then, as shown in FIG. 8D, when one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are rotated by approximately 180 degrees from a position where they are overlapped, one housing 1 is provided on the other housing 2 side of the one housing 1. The predetermined angle θ is the same as the angle of the inclined portion 23 thus set.
[0069]
As shown in the cross-sectional views of FIGS. 9 and 11, the bracket 21 is fixed to the one housing 1, the other housing 2, and the rotation mechanism 20, and the rotation mechanism 20 is The sleeve 66 shown in FIG. 9 of the rotation mechanism 20 is inserted into the holes 75 and 76 formed in the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 from the bottom of the other housing 2 so that the sleeve 66 shown in FIG. Is fixed to one housing 1 side. As shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, the rotating mechanism 20 has a rotating body 61 having an undulating shaft 62, and the undulating shaft 62 of the rotating body 61 is inserted into the bearing hole 22 of the bracket 21. Then, the one housing 1 is fixed to the one housing 1 while being rotatable by the undulating shaft 62, and a spring 60 is mounted on the bracket 21 from around the undulating shaft 62, and To the other housing 2. Further, the rotation mechanism 20 has a convex portion 64 and a rotation preventing protrusion 65, and the protrusion 65 is fitted into rotation preventing concave portions (holes) 77 and 78 (FIG. 9) provided in the hole 75 of the one housing 1. The lever 63 has a guide portion 67 and a concave portion 68 on an opposing surface where the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 face each other, and is fixed to the one housing 1 side of the other housing 2. A sleeve 66 as a base member of the other case 2 and a position where the one case 1 and the other case 2 are overlapped with each other on the side opposite to the one case 1 and approximately 180 degrees from the position A holder 70 fixed with a concave portion 70a of a positioning locking mechanism at each of the pivoted positions, made of an elastic body, and positioning locking of one housing 1 and the other housing 2 It has a projection 72 constituting a mechanism, and is fixed to the rotating body 61 to rotate the rotating body 61 in the other housing 2. Composed of such a spring plate 71 which kill manner.
[0070]
Then, as shown in a cross-sectional view showing this state, as shown in FIG. 11A, in a state where the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are overlapped (closed state), the protrusion of the lever 63 is formed. 64 is fitted into the concave portion 68 of the sleeve 66, and one housing 1 is pressed against the other housing 2 by the pressing force of the spring 60, and the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 come into close contact with each other. I have. Next, in this state, when one housing 1 is rotated in the direction of arrow 24 as shown in FIG. 8B, the convex portion 64 of the lever 63 is moved from the concave portion 68 to the inclined surface 67 a provided on the guide portion 67 of the sleeve 66. , And the one housing 1 is pushed up against the pressing force of the spring 60, so that the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are separated from each other. Therefore, even if one housing 1 is further rotated in the direction of arrow 24, one housing 1 does not rub the operation unit 5 on the other housing 2 or the surface 2 a of the other housing 2, 8C, and at the same time, the convex portion 64 of the lever 63 is gradually pushed up along the inclined surface 67a with the rotation, so that one housing 1 and the other housing 2 The angle gradually increases. Then, as shown in FIG. 1 (D), one housing 1 is turned from a position where one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are overlapped to a position (opened state) which is turned approximately 180 degrees. Then, as shown in FIG. 11B, the convex portion 64 of the lever 63 comes to the highest position in the guide portion 67 of the sleeve 66, and the one housing 1 is connected to the other housing 2 of the one housing 1. The predetermined angle θ is the same as the angle of the inclined portion 23 provided on the side (see FIG. 8D).
[0071]
Then, FIG. 11A in a state where one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are overlapped (closed state) and FIG. 11B in a position rotated about 180 degrees (open state). In the above, the projection 72 provided on the spring plate 71 is engaged with the concave portion 70a of the positioning locking mechanism provided on the holder 70 to be positioned. Therefore, the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are positioned so as not to move easily in the closed state and the open state.
[0072]
Next, a third embodiment of the portable terminal device according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 12 is an exploded perspective view of an example of a rotating mechanism according to a third embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention. FIG. 13 is a perspective view of an assembled state of the rotating mechanism according to the third embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention. 14 is a front view of the assembled state of the rotating mechanism in the third embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention, FIG. 15 is a side view for explanation of the third embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention, and FIG. One housing 1 and the other housing 2 of the rotation mechanism in the third embodiment of the portable terminal device are superimposed (A), rotated 90 degrees (B), and rotated 180 degrees FIG. 17 is an enlarged explanatory side view of (C), and FIG. 17 is a 180-degree rotation of a state in which one housing 1 and the other housing 2 of the rotation mechanism in the third embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention are overlaid (A). It is an expanded sectional view of the state (B) moved.
[0073]
One housing 1 and the other housing 2 in FIG. 15 are shown in a rectangular parallelepiped shape of the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 in FIG. In the drawing, reference numeral 80 denotes a fixture, 81 denotes a first base member, 82 denotes a mounting hole of a rotating body 84, 83 denotes a second base member made of a bracket, 84 denotes a rotating body, 85 denotes a hollow hole, and 86 denotes a hollow hole. An elastic body, 87 is a positioning and locking mechanism, 89 is a convex portion, 90 is a guide surface (guide portion), and 91 is a concave portion.
[0074]
In the third embodiment of the present invention, the undulating shaft 62 of the second embodiment is provided not on the rotating body 61 but on the second base member 83 so as to be tiltable relative to the rotating body 84. At least at the initial stage of rotating the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 relatively, the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are separated from each other. There is provided means for gradually increasing the angle between the surfaces having the function of the other housing 2 to a predetermined angle. For this reason, in the third embodiment, for example, as shown in FIG. 15, a first base member 81 is provided on the other housing 2 and a second base member 83 is provided on one housing 1, and FIG. As shown, the rotating body 84 provided in the second base member 83 is inserted into and engaged with the mounting hole 82 provided in the first base member 81 to connect the other housing 2 to the one housing 1. By doing so, from the state where the other housing 2 and the one housing 1 are overlaid, the one housing 1 can be relatively rotated substantially in parallel to expose the operation unit 5. It was made.
[0075]
In a state where the other housing 2 and one housing 1 are overlapped, one side of the second base member 83 is pressed by the elastic body 86, and the second base member 83 is relatively tilted. As a result, one housing 1 is closed and urged against the other housing 2 in the overlapping (overlapping) downward direction. That is, the elastic body 86 is, for example, a plate-like spring in which the generated urging force is biased to one side, and the second base member on the side that tilts one of the housings 1 in the downward direction in a superimposed (superposed) state. If the second base member 83 is configured to be capable of tilting and to automatically press the predetermined side when the state is set so that one side of the base member 83 is always pressed and the state of the base member is in the superposed state, In this state, the second base member 83 is tilted and urged by the elastic body 86, and the one housing 1 is urged to close with respect to the other housing 2.
[0076]
Specifically, on the first base member 81 side, there is provided a guide surface 90 with which the convex portion 89 provided on the second base member 83 is in contact, and this convex portion 89 is always brought into contact with the guide surface 90 by the elastic body 86. The convex portion 89 is slidably pressed against the guide surface 90 or at a position where the convex portion 89 faces in the overlapping state (when the other housing 2 and the one housing 1 are superposed). The recess 89 is provided to allow the second base member 83 to tilt and the second base member 83 is tilted. In this overlapping state, the elastic body 86 pushes the projection 89 into the recess 91 to urge the second base member 83. The second base member 83 is configured to be tilted and urged to urge the one housing 1 against the other housing 2 in the overlapping direction.
[0077]
With this configuration, the convex portion 89, which is always in a superposed state, can be tilted by being positioned in the concave portion 91, and the superimposed portion is always pressed by one side of the second base member 83. In this state, the second base member 83 is tilted and urged by the elastic body 86 so that the one housing 1 is closed and urged with respect to the other housing 2.
[0078]
The guide surface 90 is provided on the side of the fixture 80 provided with the mounting hole 82, and the guide surface 90 is formed by rotating the one housing 1 relative to the other housing 2. When the rotating body 84 rotates with respect to the mounting hole 82, the protrusion 89 of the second base member 83 slides along the inclination of the guide surface 90, so that the rotating body 84 moves relative to the rotating body 84. The second base member 83 is configured to be relatively tilted, and for example, the one housing 1 is changed from a state in which the other housing 2 and the one housing 1 are superimposed substantially vertically in parallel. Are disposed so as to be rotated substantially 180 degrees in parallel to the overlapping surface so as to be substantially linearly connected to each other, and when the overlapping surface is exposed, along the inclination of the guide surface 90, The second base member 83 is moved relative to the rotating body 84 by the sliding movement of the convex portion 89. If it is configured such that the one housing 1 is automatically tilted up and tilted slightly with respect to the other housing 2 arranged substantially horizontally to be connected to the other housing 2 arranged relatively horizontally, At this time, the second base member 83 is tilted relatively to the rotating body 84 by the sliding movement of the convex portion 89 abutting on the guide surface 90, and the second base member 83 The one housing 1 automatically rises slightly with respect to the other housing 2 arranged substantially horizontally, and is brought into a state of being continuously connected in a substantially linear manner by the tilting due to the rotation of.
[0079]
That is, if the other housing 2 is the main body 2 provided with the operation unit 5 and the one housing 1 is the superposed unit 1 provided with the display unit 6, the ends are superposed and connected by this rotating mechanism. By doing so, the overlapping portion 1 can be connected to the main body portion 2 so as to be rotatable in a substantially horizontal direction, and when the operation portion 5 is not operated, the stacking portion 1 is compact. The overlapping section 1 and the overlapping section 1 are vertically arranged. Also, in this compact overlapping state, the display section 6 is arranged on the upper surface side of the overlapping section 1 so that the operation section 5 is displayed even if it cannot be operated. If the display unit 6 is configured so that the display unit 6 can be visually recognized and the display unit 6 functions, for example, a date and a calendar display set in advance by the operation unit 5 can be displayed, and a data communication display (for a mobile phone, for example, an incoming call Display, etc.) Part 6 enables various uses for visible, or spread use, and improved functionality, very convenient and makes practical (commercial value) is increased.
[0080]
Also, when operating the operation unit 5, the overlapping unit 1 is not rotated up and down to expose the operation unit 5, but the overlapping unit 1 is rotated approximately 180 degrees in a substantially horizontal direction to perform the operation. The part 5 can be exposed. Therefore, even if the display unit 6 is provided on the upper surface side, which is the exposed side when the operation unit 5 is concealed by the overlapping unit 1 as described above, and the functionality is enhanced, the overlapping unit 1 is horizontally rotated to operate. Since the unit 5 can be exposed, the display unit 6 remains exposed even when the operation unit 5 is exposed, and the conventional operation of operating the operation unit 5 and displaying it on the display unit 6 becomes possible.
[0081]
In addition, since the operation unit 5 can be exposed by the horizontal pushing operation for the horizontal rotation instead of the undulating rotation, the opening operation can be easily performed and the handling is easy as compared with the conventional undulating rotation operation. Also, at this time, if it is opened and rotated, the overlapping portion 1 is automatically set in a slightly rising and inclined state, so that the display portion 6 becomes easy to see.
[0082]
Further, the third embodiment will be described in detail. In the third embodiment, similarly to the above-described second embodiment, the overlapping portion 1 is shifted by approximately 180 degrees from a state in which the one housing 1 (the overlapping portion 1) and the other housing 2 (the main body portion 2) are overlapped. When the main body 2 and the overlapping section 1 are connected to each other in a straight line by horizontal rotation, the display section 6 of the overlapping section 1 is automatically raised slightly with respect to the main body 2 by this rotation. As described above, it is configured to be inclined so that it is easy to see.
[0083]
That is, as is apparent from FIG. 12, the rotating body 84 is provided in a detent state with respect to the second base member 83, and rotates together with the second base member 83 with the rotation of the overlapping portion 1. And the second base member 83 relative to the rotator 84 has a direction substantially orthogonal to the rotation axis direction of the rotator 84 as a swing axis direction relative to the rotator 84. It can be tilted freely. In addition, a convex portion 89 is vertically provided on the second base member 83, and the inclined guide surface 90 with which the convex portion 89 comes into contact is connected to the first base member 81 provided with the mounting hole 82, that is, the mounting portion. A peripheral portion of the hole 82 is provided along the circumferential direction, and the projection 89 is pressed against the guide surface 90 by an elastic body 86 so as to be slidable along the guide surface 90.
[0084]
More specifically, when the overlapping portion 1 rotates relatively to the main body 2, the guide surface 90 rotates when the rotating body 84 rotates relative to the mounting hole 82. The second base member 83 is tilted relatively to the rotating body 84 by the sliding movement of the projection 89 along the inclination of the guide surface 90.
[0085]
That is, from the state in which the main body 2 and the overlapping portion 1 are vertically overlapped substantially in parallel, the upper overlapping portion 1 is rotated by 180 degrees relatively in parallel to the overlapping surface and substantially linearly connected. When the overlapping surface is exposed so as to expose the overlapping surface, the convex portion 89 slides along the guiding surface 90 which is disposed in the circumferential direction and has an ascending inclined surface. Due to the inclination of the surface 90, the second base member 83 is relatively inclined with respect to the rotating body 84, and the overlapping portion 1 automatically rises slightly with respect to the main body portion 2 arranged substantially horizontally. Thus, it is configured so as to be substantially linearly connected. In addition, a positioning and locking mechanism 87 is provided for positioning and locking the rotation of the rotating body 84 between the overlapping state (0-degree rotating position) and the 180-degree rotating position, so that the overlapping portion 1 covers the main body 2. In this way, the positioning and locking are performed at a position where the overlapping is performed and a position where the main body 2 is linearly connected.
[0086]
Further, a first base member 81 having a mounting hole 82 is provided in the fixture 80, and a rotating body 84 having a second base member 83 is rotatably engaged with the mounting hole 82 of the first base member 81. I agree. The rotating body 84 is inserted through the through-hole of the second base member 83, protrudes inward from the through-hole, and faces a pair of undulating shaft branches 83 a opposed to each other, and faces the outer peripheral surface of the rotating body 84. The rotating body 84 engages with a vertically long engaging groove 84 a formed halfway in the axial direction of the rotating body 84, thereby engaging with the rotation preventing state and rotating in the mounting hole 82 of the fixing tool 80. The rotating body 84 is supported in the through hole of the second base member 83 so that the second base member 83 can swing (tilt freely) in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the body 84.
[0087]
A cut-out tongue is vertically provided as a projection 89 on the second base member 83, and the guide surface 90 with which the projection 89 abuts is a half-peripheral portion of the mounting hole 82 of the first base member 81. It is formed on the upper surface and is formed on the ascending slope. Further, a plate-shaped spring that is fitted on the rotating body 84 and presses the second base member 83 is interposed as the elastic body 86 by the retaining connection portion 88, and the elastic body 86 presses the second base member 83. The projection 89 is pressed against the guide surface 90.
[0088]
As a result, the convex portion 89 slides along the guide surface 90, and the second base member 83 tilts along the inclination of the guide surface 90, so that the display portion 6 is automatically tilted so that it is easy to see when the display portion 6 is opened and rotated. In addition, the elastic body 86 can rotate in a free stop state without fluctuation.
[0089]
Further, in the present embodiment, in order to make the one housing 1 (overlapping portion 1) function as an elastic body 86 that urges the one housing 1 (overlapping portion 1) in the overlapping direction with respect to the other housing 2 (body portion 2). The elastic body 86 has a shape in which a biasing force for tilting the second base member 83 in a direction in which the portion 1 can be biased in the overlapping direction is generated. That is, the elastic body 86 is formed by a plate-like spring in which the generated urging force is biased to one side, and is fitted to the rotating body 84 as described above so that only the predetermined side of the second base member 83 is always kept. It is configured to be pressed strongly.
[0090]
More specifically, a guide surface 90 with which the convex portion 89 provided on the second base member 83 comes into contact is provided around the half of the mounting hole 82 of the first base member 81, and the side on which the convex portion 89 is provided is always set to the side. The elastic body 86 is slidably pressed against the guide surface 90 by the elastic body 86, and when the main body 2 and the overlap portion 1 are overlapped on the guide surface 90, the convex portion 89 falls and the second The second base is formed by providing a concave portion 91 that allows the base member 83 to tilt, and constantly pressing the convex portion 89 by the elastic body 86 to drop the convex portion 89 into the concave portion 91. The member 83 can be tilted and urged to close and urge the overlapped portion 1 in the overlapped direction.
[0091]
That is, the second base member 83 is configured to be tiltable relative to the rotating body 84 with a direction substantially orthogonal to the rotating axis direction of the rotating body 84 as a swing axis direction, and the second base member 83 and the main body 2 When the overlapped portion 1 is in a state of being overlapped, the convex portion 89 is located in the concave portion 91 so that the second base member 83 can be tilted, and the elastic body 86 constantly pressing the convex portion 89 side The second base member 83 is configured to be tilted and urged to close and urge the overlapped portion 1 in the overlapped direction with respect to the main body 2.
[0092]
Therefore, the elastic body 86 is formed by stacking a plurality of plate-like springs in which the generated urging force is biased to one side, is fitted to the rotating body 84 so as to rotate, and rotates together with the rotating body 84 and the second base member 83. It is configured so as to always press one side of the second base member 83 which is a side on which one housing 1 is tilted in the downward direction in the superposed state. That is, in the present embodiment, the side on which the projection 89 of the mounting base 83 is provided is always pressed. The second base member 83 can be tilted when it is in the superposed state, and the predetermined side is automatically pressed, so that the second base member 83 is formed by the elastic body 86 in the superposed state. The member 83 is tilted and biased so that one housing 1 is closed and biased with respect to the other housing 2.
[0093]
That is, in the superimposed state, the pressed convex portion 89 can fall into the concave portion 91, so that the second base member 83 can move with respect to the rotating body 84 (with respect to the other housing 2). (2) Since the projection 89 is always pressed by the elastic body 86, the second base member 83 is tilted and biased, and the one housing 1 is closed with respect to the other housing 2. It is configured to be energized.
The positioning and locking mechanism includes an engagement projection 81a provided around the mounting hole 82 of the first base member 81 and an annular body 87 having a projection 87a on the outer periphery. It is configured to rotate together with the body 84, and is configured to be rotationally locked at the predetermined position by the projection 87a of the annular body 87 abutting the engagement projection 81a.
[0094]
Although various embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to only the above-described embodiments, and it is needless to say that the present invention can be applied to modifications and changes without departing from the gist of the present invention. Nor. That is, in the description of the embodiment of the portable terminal device of the present invention, a case of a mobile phone having two earpieces has been described as an example. However, a mobile phone having only one earpiece may be used. Needless to say, as described above, the portable terminal device is not limited to a portable telephone, but includes various types such as a PDA and a portable personal computer, and can be applied to such a portable terminal device.
[0095]
In addition, a code line such as a power supply line or a signal line is inserted and disposed inside the joint portion 13 and the rotating body 12, the rotating body 61, and the rotating body 84 in the axial direction in each embodiment, and one of the housings 1 is rotated. It may be configured. Further, in the third embodiment, the first base member 81, the second base member 83, the rotating body 84, and the like are made of a conductive metal material. The body 2 (main body 2) side and one housing 1 (overlapping section 1) side may be configured to be electrically connected, and the same configuration can be applied to other embodiments.
[0096]
As described above, according to the present invention, the end of one housing and the other housing provided with different functions (display unit, operation unit, earpiece, transmission unit, etc.) on the surface for the user. Parts are connected by a rotation mechanism, and in a portable terminal device configured to be relatively rotatable with the surfaces facing the user facing in the same direction, the rotation mechanism includes the one housing and the other housing. By providing the rocking mechanism for separating the body at least at the beginning of rotation, there is no need to worry that the surfaces of the housings are rubbed.
[0097]
The initial separation between the one housing and the other housing is performed when the one housing is relatively rotated with respect to the other housing by the rotation mechanism. By rotating so that the angle formed with the other housing gradually increases with the rotation of the other housing and reaches a predetermined angle, the one housing and the other housing are rotated from the superimposed state. When the mobile phone is in the open state, the transmitter and receiver can be brought closer to the mouth and ear in a mobile phone by generating a predetermined angle, so that the sound collection rate can be increased, and data input can be performed. In this case, since the user can input data while looking at the display unit, it is possible to provide a mobile terminal device with greatly improved usability. Further, by gradually increasing the predetermined angle with the rotation, the separation at the initial stage of the rotation can be achieved with a very small force.
[0098]
Further, the rotation mechanism has an inclined guide portion on the other housing side of the opposing surface where the one housing and the other housing face each other, and a convex portion abutting on the guide portion on one housing side. Then, at least at the beginning of rotation of the one housing and the other housing, the one housing and the other housing are separated from each other by riding on the guide portion of the convex portion, The angle formed between the one housing and the other housing can be gradually increased, and the separation between the one housing and the other housing can be achieved.
[0099]
The rotating mechanism has an up / down shaft at one end, which is inserted into an up / down bearing fixed to the one housing to tilt the one housing, and rotatably holds the other end to the other housing. Rotator, and an inclined guide portion provided on an opposing surface where the one housing and the other housing face each other, and the guide is provided at least at the beginning of rotation of the one housing. There is an angle control unit that separates one housing from the other housing by the part and the undulating shaft, and generates a predetermined angle with respect to the other housing as the one housing rotates. You may comprise.
[0100]
The rotating mechanism is rotatably fitted to the first base member, which is fixed with its axis oriented substantially perpendicularly to a surface having functions of the other housing, and the first base member. A rotator, and a coupling unit for connecting the rotator and the one housing, and having a tilting mechanism capable of tilting the one housing with respect to the other housing; When the housing is rotated relative to the other housing, the one housing is tilted with respect to the other housing to rotate about the axis of the first base member. You may do so.
[0101]
A guide surface is provided on the top surface of the first base member, and the joint portion is provided with a convex portion. When the other housing is rotated, the convex portion of the joint portion is provided with the first base member. Since one of the housings can be supported by the first base member by being configured to move while sliding on the guide surface provided for, the one housing can be rotated without rattling. In addition, the first base member has a step on the top, and the bottom of the step is used as a guide surface, so that one housing is opposite to the other housing in a predetermined direction. Preferably, it does not rotate, thereby preventing the lead wire inserted into the connecting portion from becoming entangled.
[0102]
Further, the present invention provides a second base having a first base member provided with a mounting hole in one member of the one housing or the other housing, and a rotating body engaged with the mounting hole in the other member. The base member is provided, and the other body is relatively rotated with respect to the one housing, so that the rotating body can be rotated with respect to the mounting hole, and the rotation is performed. The body is provided so as not to rotate with respect to the second base member, and is configured to rotate together with the second base member with rotation of the other housing or the one housing. In addition, the second base member is configured to be tiltable relatively to the rotating body with a direction substantially orthogonal to the rotating body of the rotating body as a tilt axis, and the second base member is convex on the second base member side. And a guide that abuts the convex portion on the first base member side. And one end is fixed to the rotating shaft, and the other end is provided with an elastic body that presses the second base member so as to press the convex portion against the guide surface. When the one housing or the other housing rotates from a state in which the second base is overlapped with the other housing, the second base is formed by sliding movement of the convex portion on the guide surface. The member may be configured to tilt relative to the rotating body.
[0103]
Further, when the one housing and the other housing are in a state of being overlapped, the first base member is provided with a concave portion that allows the convex portion to fall and allow the second base member to tilt. The second base member is tilted and biased by biasing the convex portion into the concave portion by the elastic body, thereby biasing the one housing or the other housing in the overlapping direction. It is preferable to be configured so that the
[0104]
In addition, by providing a positioning and locking mechanism at each of a position where the one housing and the other housing are overlapped with each other and a position rotated by approximately 180 degrees from the position, Even if one housing or the other housing is rotated, the rotation can be reliably stopped at the use position and the non-use position, and the rotation is prevented against the user's intention. Can be.
[0105]
Furthermore, by providing an inclination of a predetermined angle at the rotation mechanism side end of the housing that is rotated by the rotation mechanism, when one of the housings or the other housing is turned to a use state. The case on the side inclined at a predetermined angle can be stabilized.
[0106]
In addition, the rotating shaft is hollow, and a lead such as a power supply line or a signal line connecting one housing and the other housing can be passed through the hollow portion, so that a contact is provided on the rotating portion. Instead, the signal and the power can be reliably transmitted from the other housing to the one housing by the signal line.
[0107]
Further, the rotation mechanism has an elastic member for urging the one housing toward the other housing, so that one housing is always pressed against the other housing, and the rotation mechanism is opened without permission and malfunctions. Can be prevented, and when one of the housings and the other housing are returned from a rotated state (used state) to a state in which they are overlapped with each other (unused state), one of the housings is automatically moved. It is possible to be pressed against and come into contact with the other housing side.
[0108]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the portable terminal device of the present invention, one housing 1 is attached to the other housing 2 with the same surface of one housing 1 and the other housing 2 facing in the same direction. The first housing 1 and the other housing 2 are configured to be relatively rotatable with respect to each other, and at the beginning of rotation when one of the housings 1 is relatively rotated with respect to the other housing 2. Since they are separated from each other, there is no fear that the surfaces of the housings are rubbed. In addition, since a predetermined angle is generated when the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are relatively rotated from the overlapped state, the one housing 1 and the other housing 2 are on the same side. It is possible to provide a portable terminal device and a method of opening and closing the portable terminal device, which can greatly improve the usability in combination with the rotation of the portable terminal device with the surfaces facing in the same direction.
