Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention of this application relates to a titania nanocrystal dispersed thin film pattern, a method for producing the same, and an article provided with the thin film pattern. More specifically, the invention of this application is directed to a titania nanocrystallite dispersed thin film pattern in which a titania nanocrystallite-dispersed thin film is dispersed as an arbitrary pattern on the order of submicron at an arbitrary portion of a substrate, a method for producing the same, and a method for producing the same The present invention relates to an article having a pattern.
[0002]
[Prior art and its problems]
Conventionally, properties such as photocatalytic activity and superhydrophilicity of titania have attracted attention, such as titania thin films, titania dispersed thin films containing silica and titania as main components (SiO 2 —TiO 2 based thin films), and the like. Articles using a thin film containing titania and having a wide range of functions such as purification, antibacterial properties, and antifouling properties have been developed and put into practical use.
[0003]
For the titania-dispersed thin film (SiO 2 —TiO 2 based thin film), the inventors of the present application applied a sol comprising titanium alkoxide and silicon alkoxide to produce a gel film, which was then mildly heated. Under the conditions described above, a method of producing a titania microcrystal dispersed thin film on which anatase-type titania microcrystals are precipitated (PCT / JP99 / 00477), or a method of strictly controlling the composition of a SiO 2 —TiO 2 gel to obtain hot water. A method for producing a titania microcrystal-dispersed transparent thin film having superhydrophilicity and excellent photocatalytic activity and having titania microcrystals having an interlayer distance of around 0.7 nm deposited on the surface thereof (Japanese Patent Application No. 2000-289528). ) In addition, by performing a hot water treatment accompanied by vibration, a high photocatalytic activity is exhibited and an excellent super parent Can be maintained for a long time sex and anti-fogging property, a method for producing a novel titania nanosheet alignment film titania nanosheet is deposited orientation (Japanese Patent Application No. 2002-053480) have been proposed.
[0004]
However, although the titania-dispersed thin film obtained by these methods exhibits high photocatalytic activity, it has no reaction selectivity of the photocatalytic reaction and has a disadvantage that almost all organic substances in contact therewith are decomposed. That is, for example, in this titania-dispersed thin film, an arbitrary super-hydrophilic-super-water-repellent pattern can be formed by applying a fluoroalkylsilane exhibiting super-water-repellency and irradiating ultraviolet rays through a photomask. However, the super-hydrophobic portion of the super-hydrophilic / super-water-repellent pattern is decomposed by irradiation with ultraviolet rays during long-term use. As described above, the conventional titania-dispersed thin film also decomposes organic substances and the like disposed on the substrate for the purpose of imparting design and other functions.
[0005]
Therefore, the invention of this application has been made in view of the above circumstances, and a titania nanocrystal dispersed thin film in which a titania nanocrystal dispersed thin film is dispersed as an arbitrary pattern on the order of submicron at an arbitrary portion of a substrate. It is an object of the present invention to provide a crystal dispersed thin film pattern, a manufacturing method thereof, and an article provided with the thin film pattern.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, the invention of this application provides the following inventions to solve the above problems.
[0007]
That is, first of all, the invention of this application is based on a composite metal oxide of a silicon alkoxide modified with β-diketone and a titanium compound from a solution containing silicon alkoxide, a titanium compound having hydrolyzability and β-diketone. Alternatively, a film containing hydroxide is formed, the film is masked with a desired pattern and irradiated with ultraviolet light, and after curing the ultraviolet light irradiated portion, the non-irradiated portion is etched and then brought into contact with water or hot water. Thus, there is provided a method for producing a titania nanocrystallite dispersed thin film pattern, which comprises precipitating titania microcrystals on the surface of an ultraviolet irradiation part.
[0008]

Fourth, the silicon alkoxide and the titanium compound are mixed in a molar ratio of SiO 2 : TiO 2 = 3: 1. Fifth, the method for producing a thin film pattern is as follows. Fifth, β-diketone is used in a molar ratio of 1: 0.5 to 1 with respect to a titanium compound. Sixth, the β-diketone is added in a molar ratio of 1: 2 to the titanium compound in a molar ratio of 1: 2 with respect to the titanium compound. [0009]
Ninth, the invention of this application is characterized in that a thin film in which titania microcrystals are deposited on a substrate is disposed at a desired position in a desired shape, and a titania nanocrystallite-dispersed thin film is provided. Tenthly, the pattern is characterized in that at least one kind of organic functional film is formed on at least a part of a portion of the substrate other than the portion where the thin film on which titania microcrystals are deposited is provided. And an eleventh article provided with the titania nanocrystallite dispersed thin film pattern.
[0010]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The invention of this application has the features as described above, and embodiments thereof will be described below.
[0011]
In the production of the titania nanocrystal dispersed thin film, the inventors of the present application (1) made a silicon alkoxide and a hydrolyzable titanium compound into a chelate compound with β-diketone, and (2) produced the chelated silicon alkoxide and Titanium compounds are less likely to gel because of less hydrolysis, and (3) the thin film on which titania nanocrystallites are deposited is a clever use of the property that the chelate bond in this chelate compound is cleaved by ultraviolet irradiation. The present invention succeeded in forming an arbitrary pattern at a desired position on the substrate, and reached the invention of this application.
[0012]
That is, the method for producing a titania nanocrystallite-dispersed thin film provided by the invention of this application is based on a solution containing a silicon alkoxide, a hydrolyzable titanium compound and a β-diketone, and a silicon alkoxide modified with a β-diketone and a titanium compound. A film containing a composite metal oxide or hydroxide is formed, the film is masked with a desired pattern, irradiated with ultraviolet light, the ultraviolet light irradiated portion is cured, the non-irradiated portion is etched, and then water Alternatively, it is characterized in that titania microcrystals are precipitated on the surface of the ultraviolet irradiation part by contact with warm water.
[0013]
In the invention of this application, for example, various silicon alkoxides represented by the general formula Si (OR) 4 can be used. Here, the organic group R constituting the alkoxyl group OR is, for example, the same or different lower alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms such as a methyl group, an ethyl group, a propyl group, an isopropyl group, a butyl group and an isobutyl group. Groups can be mentioned. More specifically, for example, using silicon tetraethoxide is shown as a preferable example.
[0014]
Examples of the titanium compound having hydrolyzability include, as an example, titanium alkoxide, which is a metal organic compound, titanium oxalate, titanium nitrate, titanium tetrachloride, and the like as a metal inorganic compound, and more preferably, titanium alkoxide. Is exemplified. Specific examples of the titanium alkoxide include tetramethoxytitanium, tetraethoxytitanium, tetran-propoxytitanium, tetraisopropoxytitanium, tetran-butoxytitanium, tetraisobutoxytitanium and the like.
[0015]
As the β-diketone, various compounds represented by the general formula R 1 COCH 2 COR 2 can be used. Here, R 1 and R 2 in the formula represent an organic group, for example, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group such as a methyl group and an ethyl group, an aromatic hydrocarbon group such as a phenyl group and a benzyl group, a methoxy group and an ethoxy group. The same or different ones can be selected from ether groups and the like. In the invention of this application, it is shown as a preferred example that any one or a mixture of two or more of acetylacetone, ethylacetoacetate and benzoylacetone is used as β-diketone.
[0016]
A solution is prepared by dissolving these starting materials in an organic solvent. In preparing the solution, for example, it is convenient to mix a silicon alkoxide solution in which silicon alkoxide is dissolved in an organic solvent and a titanium solution in which a titanium compound and β-diketone are dissolved in an organic solvent. Of course, without being limited to this, β-diketone may be added to the silicon alkoxide solution, or all may be mixed in the same manner.
[0017]
Here, examples of the organic solvent include methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, isopropyl alcohol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol, isobutyl alcohol, ter-butyl alcohol, 1-pentanol, 2-pentanol, and 3-pentanol. Tanol or the like can be used. Further, a catalyst or water for accelerating the hydrolysis of the alkoxyl group or accelerating the dehydration condensation reaction may be added to these solutions as needed. As the catalyst, for example, use of nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, ammonia or the like is exemplified.
[0018]
The composition of these solutions should be about 1 to 8, 1 to 6 in terms of molar ratio for the organic solvent and water to be added to the silicon alkoxide, and about 20 in terms of molar ratio for the organic solvent to be added to the titanium compound. Appropriate. The β-diketone is added, for example, in a molar ratio of about 0.5 to 10 and more preferably about 2 with respect to the titanium compound.
[0019]
Further, the silicon alkoxide solution and the titanium solution are adjusted such that the silicon alkoxide and the titanium compound are in a molar ratio of SiO 2 : TiO 2 = 5: 1 to 1: 3, more preferably around 3: 1. can do. By setting the molar ratio between the titanium compound and the silicon alkoxide to be about 3: 1, the photocatalytic activity of the obtained titania microcrystal-dispersed thin film portion can be further increased.
[0020]
The solution containing the silicon alkoxide, the titanium compound and the β-diketone thus prepared is applied to a substrate or the like to form a composite metal oxide or hydroxide of the silicon alkoxide and the titanium compound modified with the β-diketone. A film containing a substance is formed.
[0021]
This film formation can be performed on an arbitrary substrate by using various methods such as a dip coating method, a spray method, and a spin coating method. The substrate is not particularly limited in its material, shape, and the like, and may be, for example, various materials such as a glass material, a metal material, an inorganic material, a plastic material, paper, and a wood material. Since the invention of this application produces a titania microcrystal dispersed thin film pattern under a mild condition of 100 ° C. or less, for example, an organic polymer or a biological tissue can be used as a base material.
[0022]
As described above, the silicon alkoxide and the titanium compound react with the β-diketone to form a chelate compound. The chelated silicon alkoxide and titanium compound are hardly hydrolyzed and hardly gel. Further, the chelate bond in this chelate compound has a property of being cleaved by ultraviolet irradiation.
[0023]
Therefore, the chelated film is irradiated with ultraviolet rays through a mask having a desired pattern. As a result, the chelate bond is opened only in the portion of the film irradiated with the ultraviolet light, and the gelation proceeds. On the other hand, in a portion not irradiated with ultraviolet rays, since the gelation of the film has not progressed, for example, various types of acid solutions, alkali solutions, acidic salt solutions or alkaline salt solutions can be used as an etching solution for easy etching. can do. This etching solution is more preferably an alkaline solution, and is preferably a NaOH solution, a KOH solution, or an NH 3 solution because it is simple and easy to use. In the ultraviolet irradiation section, the film is gelled and densified, and is not affected by the etching solution. Thus, a film having a desired pattern can be obtained.
[0024]
The patterned film is then contacted with water or hot water. In this case, the temperature of the hot water can be set to 100 ° C. or lower, and more preferably in the range of about room temperature to 100 ° C., and more specifically, in the range of about 50 to 100 ° C. More efficiently, hot water of about 90 ° C. can be used. The treatment time cannot be unconditionally determined because it varies depending on the composition of the gel film, the temperature of the hot water used, and the like, but the treatment time can be arbitrarily determined so that the precipitation state of the titania microcrystals becomes desired. In general, about several tens of minutes to several hours can be used as a guide. At the same time as the treatment with the warm water, vibration can be considered.
[0025]
Thereby, a film in which titania microcrystals are dispersed selectively according to the ultraviolet irradiation pattern can be formed on the substrate, and a desired titania nanocrystallite dispersed thin film pattern can be obtained.
[0026]
The titania microcrystal-dispersed thin film pattern of the invention of the present application obtained in this way has a titania microcrystal-dispersed thin film formed in an arbitrary arrangement on the substrate, and the portion where the titania microcrystals are deposited has high photocatalytic activity. , Super hydrophilicity, anti-fogging properties and the like. Further, the precipitation pattern of the titania microcrystals can be controlled to an arbitrary shape on the order of submicrons by an ultraviolet irradiation technique.
[0027]
Further, in the titania microcrystal-dispersed thin film pattern of the invention of this application, at least one type of organic functional film can be formed in addition to the deposited portion of titania microcrystals. Since this organic functional film does not come into contact with titania, it is not decomposed even during long-term use, and its function can be maintained. As such a functional film, a coating film for design, a super-water-repellent film, a conductive film, and a film having various other functions can be considered. These organic functional films are formed, for example, uniformly on the surface of a titania microcrystal dispersed thin film pattern in which titania microcrystals are deposited in the above-described pattern, and then irradiated with ultraviolet light to form a film on the titania deposition portion. It can be manufactured by decomposing a functional film.

In addition, an article provided by the invention of the present application is characterized in that the article is provided with any of the titania nanocrystallite dispersed thin film patterns described above. [0029]
Examples will be shown below, and the embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail.
[0030]
【Example】
The titania nanocrystallite dispersed thin film pattern of the invention of this application was manufactured according to the process diagram shown in FIG.
[0031]
As a starting material, tetraethoxysilane (Si (OEt) 4 : manufactured by Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd., reagent grade, hereinafter referred to as TEOS) is used as a silicon alkoxide, and titanium tetranormal butoxide is used as a hydrolyzable titanium compound. (Ti (On-Bu) 4 : manufactured by Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.,
[0032]
To prepare the sol solution, first, 3.6 wt% hydrochloric acid is added to a solution in which TEOS, water and EtOH are mixed, and the mixture is stirred for 30 minutes. The EtOH solution of TBOT chemically modified with AcAc is added dropwise to promote the hydrolysis. For 30 minutes, a sol solution was obtained. The molar ratios of the respective components were TEOS: water: EtOH: TBOT: EtOH = 83.5: 16.5: 334.0: 417.5: 330 and TBOT: AcAc = 1: 2.
[0033]
This sol solution was applied to an alkali-free glass substrate having one surface covered with a mending tape by a dip coating method at a pulling rate of 1.11 mm / sec, and the substrate tape was peeled off, followed by drying at 90 ° C. for 1 hour. Thus, a film (a) was obtained. The thickness of this film (a) was 210 nm.
[0034]
This film (a) is irradiated with ultraviolet rays through a photomask for 1 hour as shown in FIG. 1 (1), and then immersed in 0.1M NaOHaq as shown in FIG. 1 (3). And etched to form a film (b). Further, this film (b) was immersed in boiling water together with the substrate for 1 hour to obtain a film (c) as shown in FIG. 1 (4). Note that a photomask in which square openings having a side of 40 μm were provided at 100 μm intervals was used.
[0035]
The pattern shapes of the films (a) to (c) are observed with an optical microscope (BX50, manufactured by Olympus Optical Industry Co., Ltd.), and the surface shape is measured with a surface roughness measuring instrument (Kosaka Laboratory, Surfcoder SE-). 30C) and analyzed using three-dimensional surface roughness profile analysis software (TDA-22). The measurement conditions for the surface shape were as follows: the feed speed of the stylus was 0.5 mm / s, the feed pitch was 10 μm, the number of lines was 101, and the Z magnification was 50,000 times.
[0036]
FIG. 2 shows the results of the optical microscope observation of the films (a) to (c), and FIG. 3 shows the results of the three-dimensional surface roughness shape analysis. Nine square parts in the figure are ultraviolet irradiation parts. In (a), it was found that the thickness was about 10 nm thinner in the ultraviolet irradiation part, and the film was densified by the ultraviolet irradiation. In (b), it was found that the thickness was reduced in the unirradiated portion of the ultraviolet light, the substrate was exposed, the unirradiated portion of the ultraviolet light was easily etched, and the solubility in the etching solution was reduced by the irradiation of the ultraviolet light. In (c), it was confirmed that although the film contracted by about 10 to 20 nm only in the thickness direction, the pattern shape was maintained.
[0037]
Further, the structure of the film (c) was observed with an electrolytic emission scanning microscope (manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd., Model S4500, hereinafter referred to as FE-SEM). For the sample, the thin film was cut together with the substrate with a diamond glass cutter, fixed on a sample table with silver paste, vacuum-dried in a vacuum desigator for about 30 minutes, and then used with a quick coater (VPS-020 manufactured by ULVAC). Prepared by platinum sputtering. The conditions for the FE-SEM observation were an acceleration voltage of 5 to 15 kV and a scanning distance of 5 mm.
[0038]
FIG. 4 shows the results of FE-SEM observation of the ultraviolet-irradiated part (A) and the ultraviolet-irradiated part (B) of the film (c). (A) A granular precipitate was observed in the UV-irradiated part, but (B) was not observed in the UV-irradiated part. FIG. 5 shows an electron diffraction image of the granular precipitate. It was confirmed that this diffraction pattern was in very good agreement with the pattern of the anatase titania obtained by calculation. From this, it was shown that anatase-type titania was also precipitated by warm water treatment on a film modified with β-diketone and patterned by ultraviolet irradiation and etching.
[0039]
Of course, the present invention is not limited to the above-described example, and it goes without saying that various aspects are possible in detail.
[0040]
