Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a spring brake cylinder that generates a braking force of a railway vehicle by a spring. Further, the present invention relates to a brake caliper device including the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A spring brake cylinder having a configuration in which a braking force is applied by a spring has been known in the related art, and is advantageous in that a braking force can be stably applied to a vehicle without using fluid pressure. Has been widely adopted.
[0003]
In this spring brake cylinder, a piston is housed in an internal space of a cylinder case, and the internal space is divided into two spaces by the piston. One space is a spring chamber for storing a spring for generating a braking force, and the other space is a pneumatic chamber capable of supplying and discharging compressed air.
[0004]
With this configuration, by supplying compressed air to the pneumatic chamber, the piston is pushed in the direction against the spring force, and the brake pad (brake stop) connected to the piston is separated from the disc on the axle side. The brakes can be released. On the other hand, by exhausting the compressed air from the pneumatic chamber, the piston can be pushed by the elastic force of the spring, and the brake can be pressed against the disc to exert a braking force.
That is, by switching the supply / exhaust of the compressed air, the spring brake is controlled to be switched between the spring brake loosened state and the spring brake operating state.
[0005]
As a configuration of this spring brake cylinder, for example, there is one disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 3-48933.
In the configuration of FIG. 9 shown as a prior art in the same publication, a pressure switch 17 is provided in the middle of a supply air pipe for supplying compressed air so that the loosened state of the spring brake can be detected. is there.
[0006]
However, in the configuration of FIG. 9, when the spring brake force starts to act due to air leakage in the spring brake cylinder, the pressure switch 17 may not be able to detect it.
That is, even when air leakage occurs in the cylinder and the brake force comes into contact with the brake shoe due to the spring force and the braking action starts, if the degree of the air leakage is small, the compressed air supply side It is conceivable that the pressure hardly decreases, and the pressure switch 17 cannot detect it.
[0007]
It should be noted that although the brake caused by such an air leak is slight (if the air leak is large, it can be detected by the pressure switch 17), the problem is still not small, such as causing early wear of the brake shoe.
In particular, when applied to a high-speed railway vehicle such as a Shinkansen, the brakes come into contact with the disk rotating at high speed, so even if the pressing force is slight, the brakes glow due to friction and become abnormal. The temperature will be extremely high, causing a bad influence on the peripheral part.
[0008]
In view of this point, in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 3-48933, the
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, according to the technique disclosed in the above-mentioned publication, it is necessary to secure a space for providing the
Therefore, there has been a problem that it is not suitable for a situation where the mounting space is largely restricted.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The problem to be solved by the present invention is as described above. Next, means for solving the problem will be described.
[0011]
That is, a spring brake cylinder according to a first aspect of the present invention is a spring brake cylinder including a cylinder case, and a piston that partitions an internal space of the cylinder case into a spring chamber and a pneumatic chamber. An opening for communicating the internal space of the cylinder case with the pressure switch, wherein the opening faces the air pressure chamber when the spring brake is loosened, and faces the spring chamber when the spring brake is in operation; The case is provided with an air hole for keeping the spring chamber at atmospheric pressure.
[0012]
According to this configuration, the pressure switch is configured to communicate with either the spring chamber or the pneumatic chamber according to the position of the piston, communicates with the pneumatic chamber when the spring brake is released, and communicates with the spring chamber when the spring brake is activated. I do. Since the spring chamber is maintained at the atmospheric pressure by the air hole, the presence or absence of the action of the spring braking force can be reliably detected from the detection result of the pressure switch.
In addition, according to the configuration of the present invention, it is not necessary to install the pressure switch in the cylinder case, and the switch can be installed in any place as long as the piping connecting the cylinder chamber and the pressure switch can be reached. Therefore, even in a situation where the mounting space for the spring brake cylinder is restricted, it is possible to easily provide a spring brake loosening detection mechanism with high detection accuracy. In addition, by selecting a position where the pressure switch is installed with relatively little vibration, the detection accuracy can be ensured.
[0013]
In the brake caliper device according to the second aspect, the spring brake cylinder is arranged in a radial direction with the disk on the axle side, and is arranged so that the axial direction of the disk is substantially parallel to the axis of the disk so as to penetrate the caliper body. It is characterized by.
[0014]
According to this configuration, even when the mounting space for the spring brake cylinder is greatly restricted, a spring brake loosening detection mechanism with good detection accuracy can be easily provided. In addition, by installing the pressure switch in a relatively low-vibration place (for example, the outer wall of an air piping hose), the detection accuracy can be ensured.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the pressure switch is configured to communicate with one of the spring chamber and the pneumatic chamber in accordance with the position of the piston. Communicates with the spring chamber when the brake is working. Since the spring chamber is maintained at the atmospheric pressure by the air hole, the presence or absence of the action of the spring braking force can be reliably detected from the detection result of the pressure switch.
Further, in the configuration of the first aspect, it is not necessary to install the pressure switch in the cylinder case, and the pressure switch can be installed in a free place as long as a pipe connecting the cylinder chamber and the pressure switch can be reached.
[0051]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, even when the mounting space of the spring brake cylinder is greatly restricted, a spring brake loosening detection mechanism with good detection accuracy can be easily provided. In addition, by installing the pressure switch in a relatively low-vibration place (for example, the outer wall of an air piping hose), the detection accuracy can be ensured.
