本発明は、電気掃除機に使用される電動送風機に関するものである。

従来の遠心分離型電気掃除機について図10〜図12を用いて説明する。

図11、図12に示すように、電気掃除機1は、掃除機本体2に、ホース3が着脱自在に接続され、ホース3の他端には操作部を形成する先端パイプ4が備えられている。

先端パイプ4には延長管5と、塵埃を吸引する吸込具6が着脱自在に接続されている。掃除機本体2の前方に形成された凹部7に、ホース3と連通し前記吸込具6から空気と共に吸い込まれた塵埃を旋回させて捕集する遠心分離型の集塵部8が着脱自在に装着されている。

本体凹部7の後方には、吸引力を発生させる電動送風機9と、排気フィルタ10、回路制御装置(図示せず)、コード巻き取り装置(図示せず)等が内蔵されている。

また、従来の遠心分離型の電気掃除機1には、図10に示すように整流子モータ11で駆動する電動送風機9が用いられていた。12は出力軸13に整流子14、ロータコア15を圧入し、前記ロータコア15に絶縁材料を介してロータコイル16が巻線されて成るロータである。前記ロータ12は出力軸13の両端にベアリング17が圧入され、ケーシングである負荷側ブラケット18と反負荷側ブラケット19にて支持されている。20はカ−ボンブラシ21を内蔵した金属からなるブラシホルダ−であり、反負荷側ブラケット19にて保持されている。22はステータコア23に絶縁材料を介してステータコイル24が巻線されたステータである。また、出力軸13にはインペラ25が固定されており、その外周には通風路を形成するエアーガイド26が配設されており、ケーシング27がこれらを覆うように取り付けられている。また、前記反負荷側ブラケット19には排気口28が設けられている。また、前記ベアリング17は、内輪29と外輪30の間に複数個のボール31を内蔵し、前記ボール31はリテーナー(図示せず)で保持されて、その両端部を1対のシール部32で覆われて構成されている。

上記構成において、電力が供給されるとステータコイル24に流れる電流により磁界が発生する。またその磁界中に配置されたロータコイル16にもカーボンブラシ21と整流子14を介して電流が流れる。この時前記ロータコイル16に「フレミングの左手の法則」に従って電磁力が作用しトルクが生じロータ12が回転する。次にロータ12が回転することによりロータ12の出力軸13に固定されたインペラ25が回転し空気が吸い込まれる。吸い込まれた空気はインペラ25の外周から排出されエアーガイド26を介してモータ11内に導かれ排気口28より排出される。

上記のように電動送風機9が駆動されると、吸込具6から空気と共に塵埃が吸い込まれ延長管5、ホース3を介して遠心分離集塵部8内に流入する。遠心分離集塵部8内で空気と塵埃が旋回し遠心力により塵埃のみが分離され、きれいな空気のみ電動送風機9内を通って掃除機本体2外へ排出されるものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このような構成の従来の整流子モータを、特に遠心集塵部を有する電気掃除機1に採用すると、遠心分離集塵部8においては、吸引風が旋回することで圧力損失が大きくなり、電気掃除機の吸い込み仕事率が低下するという問題があった。

また、そこで塵埃を旋回させるのに、高速回転が可能なインバータモータを採用して吸い込み仕事率を向上させることが可能であるが、そうすると吸引力の向上により、電動送風機内に侵入する塵埃が増加し、インバータモータの回転性能を損なうという問題があった。

本発明は上記課題を解決するもので、吸い込み仕事率の低下を防ぐとともに、塵埃の侵入を防止した信頼性の高い電動送風機および電気掃除機を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために本発明は、ステータと自在に回転するロータを備えたブラシレスモータ部と、前記ロータの出力軸に備えられたインペラと、前記ブラシレスモータ部の電力制御を行うインバータ回路部と、前記インペラおよびブラシレスモータ部を覆うケーシングと、前記出力軸を前記ケーシングに保持する複数のベアリングを備え、前記ベアリングは一対の内輪と外輪と複数個のボールで構成されるとともに、前記ベアリングの少なくとも1つは、一端が前記外輪にて保持され、他端は内輪と接触かつ摺動する接触型のシール部を有する構成としたもので、細かい塵埃が電動送風機内に吸い込まれてもベアリング内への塵埃侵入を防止できるので、高速回転時でもベアリングの寿命を低下させることがなく信頼性の高い電動送風機を実現できる。

【発明の実施の形態】

以下、本発明の第1の実施例を、図1〜図3を用いて説明する。なお、従来例と同一構成部分については同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。

図1に示すように、電気掃除機1は、掃除機本体2に、ホース3が着脱自在に接続され、ホース3の他端には操作部を形成する先端パイプ4が備えられている。先端パイプ4には延長管5と、吸込具6が着脱自在に接続されている。掃除機本体2の前方に形成された凹部7に、ホース3と連通し前記吸込具6から空気と共に吸い込まれた塵埃を旋回させて捕集する遠心分離型の集塵部8が着脱自在に装着されている。本体凹部7の後方には、吸引力を発生させる電動送風機9と、排気フィルタ10、回路制御装置(図示せず)、コード巻き取り装置(図示せず)等が内蔵されている。

このとき、ファン部35から排出された気流は、基板38上に実装された発熱部品を通過するので、大風量の外気の冷たい空気で冷却することができ、非常に効率よく発熱部品を冷却することができると共に省スペース化が図れ、小型でコンパクトな電動送風機9を実現できるものである。

また、この時ロータ12が高速で回転するため、遠心分離集塵部8で捕捉しきれない細かい塵埃が電動送風機9内へ吸い込まれベアリング17内に侵入すると、高速で回転しているためわずかな塵埃でもベアリング17のボール31や内輪29、外輪30の転送面に付着してベアリング17の寿命を低下させる危険性があったが、電動送風機9前方に設けたフィルタ42により細かい塵埃を捕捉できるので信頼性の高い電気掃除機を実現できるものである。
