Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a diving communication device suitable for use in a communication device used in high-pressure air diving (so-called scuba diving) or the like (a wireless (wireless) communication device using an ultrasonic wave or the like as a carrier wave).
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a communication device used for scuba diving or the like, a method of modulating an audio signal of about 300 Hz to 3 KHz with ultrasonic waves of several tens KHz and propagating through water is generally adopted. By using the same frequency of the ultrasonic waves as carrier waves, not only divers but also everyone including the mother ship can communicate by using the same frequency. However, it is necessary to stop carrier wave transmission except when you are talking. For this reason, a PTT (Press To Talk) switch that transmits a signal only when the switch is pressed is added, or a level detection type VOX (Voice Operated Keying) that transmits a signal only when a signal of a set level or more such as an audio signal is input. ) Circuit is added.
[0003]
This example is shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. FIG. 2 shows a transmission / reception circuit using a PTT switch. When a voice or breathing noise is input to the microphone 1 with the

[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the apparatus having the above configuration has the following problems.
[0007]
(1) Using the
[0008]
(2) Method using VOX13 When the VOX13 is used, one hand is not blocked, but all signals of a certain level or higher coming from the microphone 1 are determined to be sound. For this reason, it is also difficult to hear the conversation, in response to the breathing sound (loud sound of push).
[0009]
Further, since a plurality of persons share a carrier wave of the same frequency, it is necessary to refrain from extra transmission as much as possible and to communicate only in a true conversation. However, sounds other than the conversation, such as breath and breath sounds, are also transmitted. For this reason, the communication time becomes longer, and a smooth call cannot be made.
[0010]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a diving communication device capable of making a hands-free and easy-to-listen call and minimizing a call occupation time.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, a diving communication device according to a first aspect of the present invention is a diving communication device that converts voice into a signal underwater and transmits / receives the signal. A vowel detection-type VOX means that does not transmit
[0012]
According to the above configuration, the vowel detection type VOX means determines a voice based on a vowel. This makes it possible to clearly distinguish voice from noise other than voice, and transmits a signal only when voice is present. As a result, a conversation with little noise and easy to hear can be performed.
[0013]
The diving communication device according to a second invention is the diving communication device according to the first invention, wherein the vowel detection type VOX means detects a vowel during a call and starts from about 0.1 second before the first vowel. A processing unit that outputs an audio signal only during the communication time up to about 0.5 seconds after the last vowel when the call is interrupted, and a relay that is switched to the talk side by the audio signal output from the processing unit. It is characterized by comprising.
[0014]
With the above configuration, the processing unit outputs a signal from about 0.1 second before the first vowel to about 0.5 second after the last vowel. If the first word of the call is a consonant, the consonant starts about 0.1 seconds before the first vowel. If the last word of the call is a voiceless sound, the call continues for about 0.5 seconds after the last vowel. For this reason, a signal is output from about 0.1 second before the first vowel to about 0.5 second after the last vowel as a talk time. As a result, noise such as breathing sounds can be removed, and clear and short-occupied calls can be made.
[0015]
The diving communication device according to a third aspect of the present invention is the diving communication device according to the first or second aspect, wherein the manual switching means capable of manually performing transmission and reception independently of the vowel detection type VOX means, The vowel detection type VOX means is provided in parallel.
[0016]
According to the above configuration, when the vowel detection type VOX means malfunctions or when it is desired to always make a one-way call, the transmission / reception is manually performed by the manual switching means independently of the vowel detection type VOX means. Can be. In this case, a changeover switch such as a PTT switch included in the manual changeover means has a lock function.
[0017]
A diving communication apparatus according to a fourth invention is characterized in that, in the diving communication apparatus according to any of the first to third inventions, a level detection type VОX means is provided together with the vowel detection type VOX means.
[0018]
With the above configuration, the vowel detection type VOX means and the level detection type VОX means can be appropriately switched and used according to various conditions such as performance and user preference. Also, the vowel detection type VOX means and the level detection type V 手段 X means can be appropriately adjusted so that the sound is loud and the respiratory sounds are small.
[0019]

The vowel detection type automatic switching means 52 determines and switches the voice based on the vowel of the human voice, transmits only the speech portion of the signal input from the microphone 23 (33), and outputs noise other than the voice. Is a means for preventing a signal from being transmitted. The vowel detection type automatic switching means 52 includes a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) 55, a

[0035]
Vowel detection is performed as follows. As is well known, human spoken words are composed of vowels, consonants, plosives, and the like. If you find a vowel and turn it on only while the vowel is continuing (and before and after it as a remedy for conversations that begin or end with a non-vowel), the clear and occupied time with the breathing noise removed You can make minimal calls. This makes it possible to perform a hands-free and efficient communication without waste, and the device is also useful for underwater construction and investigation.
[0036]
The vowel detection method uses a known technique, “cepstrum analysis by digital signal processing”.
[0037]
"Method of detecting vowels by cepstrum analysis"
The vowel changes the shape of the oral cavity by changing the shape of the mouth due to the vibration of the vocal cords to make a different sound, "Oh, uh, uh, oh." On the other hand, unvoiced sounds such as S in “sa” and plosive sounds such as P in “ぱ” are generated by restricting or blocking the exit of nausea from the lungs without using vocal cords.
[0038]
It is well known that when a vowel is subjected to frequency analysis (in the present apparatus, FFT is performed digitally), equidistant spectra appear clearly on the frequency axis. This becomes more apparent by performing a cepstrum analysis that re-FFTs the FFT results. When the cepstrum bin that appears in this way exceeds the specified level, it is determined that a vowel has been emitted.
[0039]
Conversation may begin with a consonant (unvoiced sound, etc. + vowel), or may end with an unvoiced sound, such as "S." For these rescue, open the relay 59 (switch to talk side) with the

[effect]
As described above, by providing the vowel detection type automatic switching means 52, a call can be made without using a PTT switch, so that hands-free operation and a free system can be achieved.
[0050]
Since no signal is transmitted in the case of non-voice such as breathing sound, a conversation that is easy to hear can be performed, and a call occupation time can be minimized, and a waiting time can be minimized, and a smooth conversation can be performed.
[0051]
In addition, since the manual switching means 53 is provided, it is possible to manually switch the PTT switches 62 and 63 to perform a telephone call in an emergency, thereby improving reliability.
[0052]
[Modification]
(1) In the above embodiment, only the vowel detection type automatic switching means 52 as the vowel detection type V @ X means is provided in the vowel detection type transmitting / receiving
[0053]
Alternatively, the vowel detection type automatic switching means 52 and the level detection type V @ X may be operated simultaneously to change the transmission level between the breathing sound and the voice to make a call. For example, the detection level of the level detection type V @ X may be reduced so that the sound is loud and the breathing sound is small.
[0054]
(2) In the above embodiment, communication is performed using ultrasonic waves, but another method may be used. For example, it can be realized by light, optical fiber, electric wire, or the like. In the case of light, communication is performed within a range where light reaches underwater. In the case of an optical fiber, an electric wire, or the like, communication is performed within a range where the optical fiber, the electric wire, or the like can reach.
[0055]
(3) In the above embodiment, a call in scuba diving or the like has been described as an example, but the present invention is not limited to this, and can be applied to all underwater calls. In this case, the same operation and effect as those of the above embodiment can be obtained.
[0056]

[0057]
(1) By providing a vowel detection type VOX means, a call can be made without using a PTT switch, so that hands-free operation and a free system can be achieved.
[0058]
(2) Since no signal is transmitted in non-voices such as breath sounds, a conversation that is easy to hear can be made, and a call occupation time can be minimized, and a waiting time can be minimized to enable a smooth conversation. .
[0059]
(3) Since the manual switching means is provided, it is possible to manually switch the PTT switch and make a telephone call in an emergency, thereby improving reliability.
