この発明は、医療廃棄品をその種類に応じて分別して破砕処理することができる医療廃棄物などの分別破砕装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
病院から排出される医療廃棄物は、注射器、薬剤容器、チューブ、フィルタなど種々雑多であり、病院側では、これらの処理を一括して専門業者の手に委ねている。この廃棄物の排出量は、中小クラスの病院でも月当り数百キログラムに及んでいる。

これらの廃棄物は、多種雑多のまま捨てられており、専門業者は、これらを専用の容器に移して自社内に持ち帰り、専用施設で分別処理を行っている。病院側から見たとき、多種雑多の廃棄品は、いわゆるカサ量（容積）が大きくなってしまい、運搬費用さらには処理費用が高くなってしまうという不満があり、また、相手先で分別処理してしまうので、処理コストが見えないという不満もあった。そして、このことが病院の経営コスト負担を招く一因にもなっていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
この実状に着目し、従来、実開平８−４００号に係る医療器廃棄物粉砕機が提案されたものである。この粉砕機は、注射器、人工透析用フィルタ、チューブなど合成樹脂製の軟質廃棄物を想定したものであり、大半の廃棄物を有効に処理することができたものである。しかし、ガラス容器などいわゆる硬質の廃棄物の破砕処理には向いていないという問題があり、なお改良が求められていた。

本発明は、上記した従来技術の問題点に着目してなされたものであり，廃棄物の種類を問わず、これを分別して破砕処理することができる医療廃棄物などの分別破砕装置を提供しようとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するために、本発明に係る医療廃棄物などの分別破砕装置は、次のように構成したものである。

すなわち、その要旨とするところは、長尺の第１の回転軸と短尺の第２の回転軸を平行に配設し、第１の回転軸の一部にして第２の回転軸と対峙しない部分に硬質の破砕物を潰圧して破砕する潰圧刃を取りつけ、第１の回転軸の他部にして第２の回転軸と対峙する部分と第２の回転軸に軟質の破砕物を切断して破砕する切断刃を取りつけると共に、上記潰圧刃の上部に硬質の破砕物を投入するホッパーを、切断刃の上部に軟質の破砕物を投入するホッパーを設けたことにある。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明に係る医療廃棄物などの分別破砕装置を一実施例について説明する。図１は全体構成を示す縦断正面図、図２は図１に示すＸ−Ｘ線の断面図、図３は同じくＹ−Ｙ線の断面図にして、１は機械のフレーム ２ａ〜２ｃはフレーム１の上部に配設した左右および中間の３つの軸受板 ３は左右の軸受板２ａ、２ｃに支持して回転自在とした長尺の第１の回転軸 ４は左方の軸受板２ｃと中間の軸受板２ｂに支持して回転自在とした第２の回転軸である。

一実施例に係る医療廃棄物などの分別破砕装置の構成は上記の通りであるから，廃棄品がガラス容器、磁器などの場合は、これを右側のホッパー８に投入する。投入された硬質の破砕物Ｗａは、かぎ爪状の潰圧刃５によって受刃６に押圧され、破砕される。そして、細かくなった破砕片が排出筒９から下方に落下する。

上記のようにして細片に破砕された廃棄物は、排出筒９，１３の下方に設置した収容箱（図示省略）にコンパクトに収納することができる。このように減容化した場合においては、後処理の手間さらにはコストを大幅に軽減することができる。

【発明の効果】
このように本発明に係る医療廃棄物などの分別破砕装置によれば、ガラス容器のような硬質の破砕物と、樹脂容器のような軟質の破砕物を分別して破砕することができる。よって種々雑多の医療廃棄物に対応して、これを合理的に減容化することができるという優れた効果を発揮する。
