Abstract
Description
【0001】
L=G÷F で表される。
【0005】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic flash device capable of manually adjusting a light emission amount.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As one of the light emission modes of the electronic flash device, a light amount selection manual mode in which a user can arbitrarily select a light emission amount is known. FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing an example of the operation in the light quantity selection manual mode. Hereinafter, an example of the operation of the light amount selection manual mode will be described according to the step numbers shown in FIG.
[0003]
[Step 1] When data communication between the electronic flash device and the camera is performed, an ISO value (imaging sensitivity of a film or an image sensor) is sent from the camera CPU (not shown) to the electronic flash device CPU (not shown). , The aperture value and the focal length of the taking lens are transmitted. When data communication between the electronic flash device and the camera is not performed, the user inputs an ISO value, an aperture value, and a focal length to the electronic flash device.
[0004]
[Step 2] The user selects one of the light emission amounts displayed as, for example, M1 / 1, M1 / 2... M1 / 64.
[Step 3] The CPU of the electronic flash device converts the selected light emission amount into a light emission guide number according to the ISO value. Then, an appropriate photographing distance is obtained and displayed according to the light emission guide number and the aperture value. The calculation at this time is as follows, assuming that the light emission guide number is G, the appropriate shooting distance is L, and the aperture value is F.
L = G ÷ F.
[0005]
[Step 4] The user inputs a dimming correction value when the user wants to increase or decrease the selected light emission amount.

That is, in the above-described light amount selection manual mode, when a light adjustment correction value is input after the selection of the light emission amount, the display of the appropriate shooting distance is changed. Therefore, there is a problem that the user may be confused or misunderstood and may change the shooting distance to an appropriate shooting distance displayed after the input of the dimming correction value. In particular, since it takes time for beginners who have no knowledge of the guide number and the amount of light such as 発 光 light emission to become accustomed to the use, a more intuitive input method is desired.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 4B, the

In this embodiment, the light emission amount is not displayed. This is to reduce the risk of the user wondering which parameter to view due to too much information being displayed. Therefore, only information (ISO value, aperture value, focal length, shooting distance, light control correction value) necessary for the calculation of the appropriate guide number and the light emission possible range is displayed.
FIG. 5 shows another display example of the
[0042]
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5B, the
<< Effects of the First Embodiment / Difference from Conventional Operation Mechanism >>
In the conventional light amount selection manual mode, the user is allowed to select a light emission amount, and an appropriate photographing distance at the selected light emission amount is displayed. For this reason, when the light control correction value is input after the selection of the light emission amount, the display of the appropriate shooting distance is also switched in conjunction with the change in the light emission amount.
[0043]
Therefore, in the present embodiment, a distance selection manual mode of an operation mechanism different from the conventional one is proposed. That is, the user selects the photographing distance instead of the light emission amount (step 5), obtains a proper guide number according to the photographing distance (step 6), and emits light with the proper guide number (step 11). Therefore, after setting the ISO value, the aperture value, and the focal length, the user can illuminate the subject with an appropriate amount of light only by inputting the shooting distance. Therefore, even a user who has no knowledge of the guide number or the amount of light such as 1/2 light emission can easily set the appropriate amount of light emission.
[0044]
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, after the selection of the photographing distance, the
[0045]
The appropriate guide number is changed according to the input light control correction value (step 7). For this reason, the light emission amount can be adjusted according to the photographing conditions so that the exposure amount is over or under the normal appropriate exposure amount.
When the appropriate guide number exceeds the maximum guide number, a recommended aperture value for making the appropriate guide number equal to the maximum guide number is displayed (step 12). Similarly, when the appropriate guide number is smaller than the minimum guide number, a recommended aperture value that makes the appropriate guide number equal to the minimum guide number is displayed. For this reason, the user can easily recognize how to change the setting so that the light emission amount can be within the light emission allowable range with the minimum change amount.
[0046]
When the appropriate guide number exceeds the maximum guide number, a recommended ISO value for increasing the maximum guide number to the appropriate guide number was obtained (step 12). Similarly, when the appropriate guide number is smaller than the minimum guide number, a recommended ISO value for reducing the minimum guide number to the appropriate guide number was obtained. For this reason, the user can change the ISO value to the recommended ISO value and enable light emission with the appropriate guide number obtained before the change.
