Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a process for burning ammonia-containing gas to remove ammonia in the gas, and more particularly to an ammonia-containing gas processing method and apparatus capable of minimizing the generation of nitrogen oxides.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In processes such as coal gasification power generation and petroleum refining, the process of detoxifying ammonia and sulfur compounds (hydrogen sulfide, carbonyl sulfide, etc.) contained as by-products in the generated gas from the viewpoints of pollution prevention and corrosion prevention. is needed.
Conventionally, as these detoxification methods, wet gas purification methods in which a gas is brought into gas-liquid contact with an absorbent have been widely used. The ammonia and sulfur compounds recovered by the wet gas purification equipment are stripped and detoxified as high-concentration ammonia-containing offgas and sulfur oxide-containing offgas, respectively.
[0003]
The processing of these off-gases is generally performed by a regenerative combustion furnace, a direct combustion combustion furnace, or the like. In such a combustion furnace, a sulfur compound-containing gas and an ammonia-containing gas are burned in a reducing atmosphere formed of a fuel for supporting combustion, and nitrogen oxides generated from a part of nitrogen in the fuel are decomposed with unburned ammonia, A two-stage combustion method is known in which hydrogen after decomposition is burned at a low temperature to reduce nitrogen oxides generated from nitrogen in the air.
[0004]
However, when the regenerative combustion furnace is used, a plurality of heat exchange paths are provided while having an advantage that SO 3 which is a by-product generated when hydrogen sulfide is burned is low. It is inevitable that the valve mechanism and the like must be complicated, and there is a problem from the viewpoint of reliability because troubles such as failures are likely to occur.
Further, in order to completely burn the ammonia-containing gas, it is necessary to maintain the inside of the furnace at a high temperature of about 1500 ° C. or higher. The operation was limited to about 1000 ° C. Further, in order to treat a gas containing a large amount of ammonia, it is necessary to treat at a temperature at which NH 3 is completely decomposed. On the other hand, it is desired to suppress the generation of NOx generated at a high temperature. It was difficult to achieve these simultaneously in a furnace.
[0005]
On the other hand, in the direct combustion type combustion furnace, it is possible to burn hydrogen sulfide and ammonia at an extremely high temperature by injecting and burning fuel from a burner portion. When the ammonia-containing gas is combusted at a high temperature, NOx is generated in association with the high-temperature treatment, so that it is necessary to take measures to reduce NOx using a reducing agent (NH 3 , H 2 S, CO) or the like.
[0006]
Therefore, as a process for suppressing the generation of NOx, Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 10-185159 discloses a combustion apparatus for simultaneously processing an ammonia-containing off-gas and a sulfur compound-containing off-gas. As shown in FIG. 5, such a combustion device incinerates the NH 3 -containing gas and the auxiliary fuel gas premixed by the
[0007]
Thus, in the primary combustion zone not ammonia for oxygen shortage and NOx, mostly decomposed into N 2 and water, a portion may remain remains NH 3, also in the secondary combustion zone unburned The gas becomes CO 2 and water vapor, NH 3 is partially converted into NOx, and the other is decomposed into N 2 and H 2 O. Hydrogen sulfide and ammonia are converted at a high decomposition rate without converting ammonia to NOx as much as possible. Can be removed.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the combustion apparatus disclosed in JP-A-10-185159, when applied to a gas containing a high concentration of ammonia, the reducing action by ammonia becomes insufficient and the nitrogen oxide concentration near the outlet of the processing apparatus may increase. There is. That is, since the ammonia-containing off-gas and the primary air supply port are disposed adjacent to each other, it is easy for the ammonia and the primary air to co-fire and a large amount of nitrogen oxide is generated, so that the residual nitrogen oxide is generated. The amount will increase.
Further, in order to decompose nitrogen oxides with ammonia in the secondary combustion zone, the furnace must be maintained at a high temperature of about 1500 ° C. or more, and not only a large amount of fuel for auxiliary combustion is required, but also The materials used for the high-temperature combustion device are expensive and not economical.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and has a simple facility to remove ammonia contained in gas at a high removal rate and to minimize the generation of NOx, thereby making the ammonia-containing gas treatment harmless. It is an object to provide a method and an apparatus thereof.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Then, the present invention solves such a problem, and the invention of claim 1
In an ammonia-containing gas treatment method for treating ammonia in the gas by burning the ammonia-containing gas in a combustion device,
A high-temperature gas generation step of generating a high-temperature gas by introducing a fuel for combustion and air into the combustion device held under a reducing atmosphere,
An ammonia decomposition step of introducing the ammonia-containing gas in the downstream of the high-temperature gas generation step and thermally decomposing ammonia in the gas under a reducing atmosphere by the generated high-temperature gas;
A combustion step of introducing air downstream of the ammonia decomposition step to burn combustibles generated by the thermal decomposition.
[0010]
The invention according to claim 2 is characterized in that the ammonia decomposition step is started after the air introduced into the high-temperature gas generation step is almost completely consumed.
According to the invention, in the high-temperature gas generation step, the fuel for combustion and the air (it is considered better not to be modified) are sufficiently burned, and oxygen in the air is almost consumed. Since the ammonia-containing gas is introduced into the high-temperature gas after the reaction, ammonia and oxygen hardly come into contact with each other, so that these reactions can be prevented and the generation of nitrogen oxides can be suppressed to a minimum.
[0011]
The invention according to claim 3 is characterized in that the high-temperature gas generated in the high-temperature gas generation step has a temperature of about 1000 ° C to 1500 ° C.
In this invention, since generation of nitrogen oxides is hardly observed, it is not necessary to form a high-temperature atmosphere of about 1500 ° C. or more required for the process of decomposing nitrogen oxides, and about 1000 ° C. to 1500 ° C. required for thermal decomposition of ammonia Temperature, preferably in a temperature range of about 1000 ° C. to 1200 ° C., is sufficient, so that the running cost of fuel for auxiliary combustion and the like can be reduced and the material cost of the apparatus can be suppressed.
[0012]
Further, as a condition under which the best combustion state can be obtained empirically, as in the invention according to claim 4, in the high-temperature gas generation step, the introduction ratio of the theoretical combustion air to the air of the auxiliary combustion fuel is set to about 1. 0: It is preferable to be in the range of 0.7 to 0.99, whereby a high-temperature gas can be generated while maintaining a good combustion state and leaving almost no oxygen in the ammonia pyrolysis step.
[0013]
The invention according to claims 5 to 7 relates to an apparatus for suitably implementing the invention, and the invention according to claim 5 treats ammonia in gas by burning ammonia-containing gas in a combustion device. In the ammonia-containing gas treatment device,
A high-temperature gas generation region including a burner, which is provided at one end of the device and which is configured to introduce a fuel for combustion and air into the device to generate a high-temperature gas;
An ammonia decomposition region, which is located downstream of the high-temperature gas generation region and includes an inlet for the ammonia-containing gas and thermally decomposes ammonia by the high-temperature gas,
A combustion zone located downstream of the ammonia decomposition zone and provided with an air inlet for burning combustibles generated by the thermal decomposition.
[0014]
As a result, in the high-temperature gas generation region, the fuel for combustion and the air (it is considered better not to modify this part) are sufficiently burned, and the oxygen in the air is almost consumed. Since the ammonia-containing gas is introduced, these reactions can be prevented without contact between ammonia and oxygen, and the generation of nitrogen oxides can be suppressed to a minimum.
In addition, since the thermal decomposition of ammonia in the high-temperature reducing gas is sufficient at about 1000 ° C., the inside of the apparatus can be made lower in temperature than before, the amount of auxiliary fuel to be injected can be reduced, and the material used for the apparatus is reduced. The cost can be reduced, and the cost can be reduced.
[0015]
The invention according to claim 6 is characterized in that the ammonia gas inlet is disposed downstream from the burner position by a distance of about 1 to 2 times a gas flow path width of the combustion device.
In the combustion apparatus shown in FIG. 1, when the gas flow path width is R and the distance from the burner position to the ammonia gas introduction position is L in the combustion apparatus shown in FIG. At around 0.4, the oxygen concentration in the furnace on the vertical axis sharply decreases, and when the L / R is about 1 or more, the oxygen concentration shows a value of almost zero. On the other hand, if the value of L / R is set to 2 or more, the apparatus becomes large, and the ammonia gas introduction position is too far from the burner, so that the temperature may be lowered, which is not preferable. Therefore, the value of L / R is about 1-2, that is, the ammonia gas inlet is disposed on the downstream side of the burner position at a distance of about 1-2 times the gas flow path width of the combustion apparatus. With this configuration, the vicinity of the ammonia gas inlet can be made substantially oxygen-free, and the generation of nitrogen oxides due to the reaction between oxygen and ammonia can be reduced as much as possible.
Furthermore, as in the invention according to claim 7, it is preferable that the introduction ratio of the theoretical combustion air and the air of the auxiliary fuel supplied from the burner is in the range of about 1: 0.70 to 0.99. .
[0016]

In the ammonia decomposition zone 10B, an ammonia-containing gas 17 is introduced upstream of the ammonia decomposition zone 10B, and in the ammonia decomposition zone 10B maintained in a reducing atmosphere, ammonia is generated by the high-temperature gas generated by the high-temperature gas generation zone 10A. Is thermally decomposed into nitrogen and hydrogen. At this time, as described above, the supply amounts of the auxiliary fuel 15 and the air 16 are set within the range of auxiliary fuel: air = 1.0: 0.7 to 0.99, and the ammonia-containing gas is introduced. Since the position of the

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, in the high-temperature gas generation step, the fuel for combustion and the air (it is considered better not to modify this part) are sufficiently burned and the oxygen in the air is reduced. Since the ammonia-containing gas is introduced after almost consumption of ammonia, the reaction can be prevented without contact between ammonia and oxygen, and generation of nitrogen oxides can be suppressed to a minimum.
