Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a heat storage unit suitable for waste heat recovery.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, in an internal combustion engine, a large amount of waste heat is generated at the time of driving, while at the time of startup, the amount of heat is given to facilitate the startup, so that the waste heat at the time of driving is stored and warmed up at the time of startup. Some are provided with a heat storage unit for use.
[0003]
A conventional heat storage unit is disclosed, for example, in Japanese Patent Publication No. 5-4244. The heat storage unit has an inner box, a heat insulating material covering the outside of the inner box, and an outer box covering the outside of the heat insulating material, and an inlet portion for introducing a fluid to one side of the central portion is provided. A box body provided with an outlet for discharging fluid on the other side of the central portion, a heat storage material which is formed by enclosing a heat storage material in a package, and is disposed in the box body, and a core material around which the heat storage material is wound And The heat accumulator is spirally wound around the core material with a plurality of spacers interposed therebetween, thereby forming a gap serving as a fluid flow path through which the heat exchanged fluid flows.
[0004]
In the conventional heat storage unit including the above, for example, PCM (Phase Change Materials) is used as the heat storage material, and the latent heat of fusion when the heat storage material changes from a liquid to a solid is used. It is small, lightweight, and can store large thermal energy.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, some of the heat storage materials including the PCM have a difference in density between a solid and a liquid, and the volume changes according to the heat storage state. In a closed space, the heat storage material occurs between a solid phase and a liquid phase. The component of the heat storage unit may be deformed due to the volume change. As a countermeasure, it is common practice to fill a predetermined amount of air in the heat storage material filling space for filling the heat storage material and absorb the volume change by this air. In order to absorb the heat without deforming the component parts, the amount of air to be enclosed must be much larger than the volume change of the heat storage material, which reduces the heat storage capacity and the heat transfer coefficient. In addition, problems such as oxidative deterioration of the heat storage material due to oxygen in the air occur.
[0006]
Also, in the heat storage process, when the heat from the fluid is sufficiently stored in the heat storage process and reaches the same temperature as the fluid, the heat is not effectively stored thereafter, resulting in useless flow path resistance. Therefore, it is necessary to switch the fluid flow path to a flow path that bypasses the heat storage unit, which requires components such as a sensor, a three-way valve, a control unit, and an actuator. there were.
[0007]
Therefore, the present invention can secure a large heat storage capacity by absorbing a change in volume of the heat storage material without accompanying a decrease in the heat storage capacity, a decrease in the heat transfer coefficient, and oxidative deterioration of the heat storage material due to oxygen in the air. It is an object of the present invention to provide a heat storage unit that can achieve high performance and can reduce the number of parts and cost.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a heat storage unit according to claim 1 of the present invention has a cylindrical outer wall (for example, the
[0009]
Thus, when the volume of the heat storage material changes according to the heat storage state, the moving member moves to absorb the change in volume. Therefore, it is not necessary to fill air for absorbing the volume change of the heat storage material into the heat storage material filling space, and it is possible to fill the heat storage material filling space with a sufficient amount of the heat storage material.
[0010]
In addition, the flow path switching unit uses the movement of the moving member in accordance with the change in volume of the heat storage material to make the inflow destination of the fluid introduced from the inlet part a fluid flow path or a bypass flow path. Therefore, components such as a sensor, a three-way valve, a control unit, and an actuator become unnecessary.
[0011]
In addition, since the flow path switching part is provided outside the main member in which the outer wall part, the fluid flow path forming part, and the heat storage material filling space forming part are integrally formed, the flow path switching part is incorporated. In comparison with the above, the restriction on the shape due to the provision of the flow path switching portion in the main member is reduced.
[0012]
A heat storage unit according to a second aspect of the present invention is the heat storage unit according to the first aspect, wherein each of the fluid flow path and the heat storage material filling space is centered on an axis in a direction connecting the openings at both ends. The flow path switching portion is arranged side by side in the direction connecting the openings at both ends with respect to the main member.
[0013]
Thus, since the fluid flow path has a double or more spiral shape, the flow rate can be greatly reduced without reducing the heat exchange area at the same flow rate as compared with the single spiral. Further, compared with the single spiral, the width of the flow path can be reduced without reducing the heat exchange area at the same flow rate, and the amount of flowing fluid can be reduced.
[0014]
In addition, when the fluid flow path and the heat storage material filling space are formed into a double or more spiral shape as described above, the double or more spiral heat storage material filling space gathers at the center of the spiral. In order to operate the moving member of the flow path switching section satisfactorily with the change in the volume of the material, the change in the volume of the heat storage material is concentrated from all the central sides of the heat storage material filling space gathered at the center side. The transmission to the moving member of the road switching unit is efficient. For this reason, by arranging the flow path switching unit in the main member in the direction connecting the openings at both ends of the main member, the volume change of the heat storage material can be efficiently transmitted to the moving member. Can be.
[0015]
A heat storage unit according to a third aspect of the present invention is characterized in that, with respect to the heat storage unit according to the second aspect, the moving member moves along a direction connecting the openings at both ends of the main member.
[0016]
As described above, the volume change of the heat storage material is concentrated from all the centers of the spirals of the double or more spiral heat storage material filling space, and the heat storage materials are arranged side by side in the direction connecting the openings at both ends of the main member. When transmitting to the moving member of the flow path switching unit, since the direction of the volume change of the heat storage material is the direction connecting the openings of the main member, the moving member is moved along the direction connecting the openings of the main member. Moving is most efficient.
[0017]
The heat storage unit according to claim 4 of the present invention relates to the heat storage unit according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the heat storage material increases in volume when heat is stored and melted, and decreases in volume when heat is released and solidified. The flow path switching unit is configured such that in a state where at least a part of the heat storage material is solidified, the flow destination of the fluid introduced from the inlet is the fluid flow path, while the heat storage material is completely melted. In the state, the inflow destination of the fluid introduced from the inlet portion is set as the bypass flow path.
[0018]
Thus, in a state where at least a part of the heat storage material is solidified, the flow path switching unit receives the heat from the heat storage material by passing through the fluid flow path because the flow destination is the flow path of the fluid introduced from the inlet. The discharged fluid is discharged to the engine side, thereby giving heat to the engine side and smoothing the start thereof. On the other hand, when the engine side generates heat and the heat storage material is completely melted, the flow path switching unit sets the inflow destination of the fluid introduced from the inlet to the bypass flow path. The passage of the flow path is avoided to prevent the useless flow path resistance from being generated.

【The invention's effect】
As described in detail above, according to the heat storage unit of the present invention, when the heat storage material changes in volume due to the heat storage state, the moving member moves to absorb the change in volume. Therefore, it is not necessary to fill air for absorbing the volume change of the heat storage material into the heat storage material filling space, and it is possible to fill the heat storage material filling space with a sufficient amount of the heat storage material. Therefore, a change in volume of the heat storage material can be absorbed without a decrease in heat storage capacity, a decrease in heat transfer coefficient, and oxidative deterioration of the heat storage material due to oxygen in the air. Can be achieved.
[0095]
In addition, the flow path switching unit uses the movement of the moving member in accordance with the change in volume of the heat storage material to make the inflow destination of the fluid introduced from the inlet part a fluid flow path or a bypass flow path. Therefore, components such as a sensor, a three-way valve, a control unit, and an actuator become unnecessary. Therefore, the number of parts and cost can be significantly reduced.
[0096]
In addition, since the flow path switching part is provided outside the main member in which the outer wall part, the fluid flow path forming part, and the heat storage material filling space forming part are integrally formed, the flow path switching part is incorporated. In comparison with the above, the restriction on the shape due to the provision of the flow path switching portion in the main member is reduced. Therefore, the degree of freedom of the shape of the main member can be increased, and heat can be efficiently exchanged between the heat storage material and the fluid in the fluid flow path.
[0097]
Further, if the fluid flow path is formed into a double or more spiral shape, the flow rate can be greatly reduced without reducing the heat exchange area at the same flow rate as compared with the single spiral. Therefore, the flow path resistance can be significantly reduced. Further, compared with the single spiral, the width of the flow path can be reduced without reducing the heat exchange area at the same flow rate, and the amount of flowing fluid can be reduced. Therefore, reduction in size and weight and improvement in performance can be achieved.
[0098]
Can be. Therefore, the switching of the flow path can be favorably performed by the moving member of the flow path switching unit.
[0099]
Further, as described above, the volume change of the heat storage material is concentrated from all the central sides of the spirals of the double or more spiral heat storage material filling space, and the heat storage material is arranged side by side in the direction connecting the openings at both ends of the main member. When transmitting to the moving member of the provided flow path switching unit, since the direction of the volume change of the heat storage material is the direction connecting the openings of the main member, the moving member is connected in the direction connecting the openings of the main member. Moving along is most efficient. Therefore, the switching of the flow path can be performed more favorably by the moving member of the flow path switching unit.
