Abstract
Description
【0001】
【0013】
・耐ノイズ性の向上;
・信頼性の向上(補正抵抗が不要になることにより、補正抵抗とターミナルの接触部がなくなる);
・補正抵抗を用いたNOx濃度検出信号の補正よりも、コントローラによるソフトウェア的な補正により、より正確な補正を行うことができる;
・補正抵抗及びそれに付随するターミナル、コネクタ、リード線が不要となり、ハウジングが小型化できるため、コストダウンが達成される;

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a NOx measuring device and a method of correcting an output of a NOx sensor, and more particularly to a method of correcting an output of a NOx sensor by software.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, with the tightening of exhaust gas regulations, research has been conducted to directly measure NOx in exhaust gas from engines and the like to control an internal combustion engine and control a catalyst. In particular, a NOx gas sensor of a type that uses an oxygen ion conductor such as ZrO 2 and decomposes NOx by pumping oxygen using an oxygen pump cell via the oxygen ion conductor and detects the decomposition as an electric current, Since it is considered that the NOx gas concentration can be measured without being affected by interfering gases such as HC and CO, researches have been widely conducted in recent years.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
NOx contained in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine is extremely small compared to oxygen and the like, and its concentration is on the order of ppm. Further, there is a slight individual difference in the manufactured NOx sensor element. Therefore, conventionally, in order to accurately measure the NOx concentration on the order of ppm, all the NOx sensor elements are exposed to the model gas before the NOx sensor elements are attached to the actual machine, and the output NOx concentration detection signal and the oxygen concentration are output. Detection signals are detected, various correction resistance values are obtained according to the magnitudes of these detection signals, and various correction resistors having resistance values close to the obtained various correction resistance values are added to the control circuit of the NOx sensor element. are doing. FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining a configuration of a NOx measuring device having a correction resistor according to such a conventional example.
[0004]
Referring to FIG. 5, the
[0005]
However, according to the conventional correction method using the correction resistor, the resistance value of the resistor on the market has a large degree of jump, and the magnitude of the NOx concentration detection signal varies among the individual NOx measuring devices. There is a problem of doing. Further, referring to FIG. 5, there are problems that the correction resistor and its mounting cost increase and the number of lead wires increases.
[0006]
An object of the present invention is to provide a NOx measuring device and a NOx sensor output correction method in which there is little variation among individuals with respect to a NOx concentration detection signal.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, a first oxygen pump cell in which a current (referred to as a “first oxygen pump current”) flows according to an oxygen concentration in a test gas and a second oxygen pump current according to a NOx concentration are provided. A NOx sensor element including a flowing second oxygen pump cell; a gain value of the second oxygen pump current indicating a relationship between the magnitude of the second oxygen pump current and the NOx concentration determined in advance; Storage means for storing an offset value of the second oxygen pump current indicating the magnitude of the second oxygen pump current when the NOx concentration is zero, the second oxygen pump current, and the stored second A means for generating a NOx concentration detection signal based on a gain value of the oxygen pump current and an offset value of the second oxygen pump current. To provide a constant apparatus.
[0008]
Specifically, in order to eliminate the influence of NOx, the above relationship is obtained using a gas containing no NOx.
[0009]
The relationship between the Ip1 current and the oxygen concentration (oxygen concentration) is determined in advance by an experiment, for example, as shown in FIG. 1C, using the oxygen concentration as a parameter.
[0010]
The offset value of the second oxygen pump current can be obtained by using a gas containing no NOx in order to eliminate the influence of NOx. That is, if the second pump current Ip2 is measured using a gas that does not contain NOx, it becomes an offset value (see FIG. 1D).
[0011]
The gain value of the second oxygen pump current indicates a change in NOx concentration corresponding to a change in the second oxygen pump current value, and is a value obtained by dividing the second oxygen pump current value by the NOx concentration (for example, μA / ppm). Is the reciprocal of the sensitivity shown in FIG. 1 (D).
[0012]
In the NOx measuring device of the present invention, the controller of the NOx sensor element generates the NOx concentration detection signal corrected so as to absorb the variation between the individual NOx sensor elements. For this reason, it is not necessary to select and connect different correction resistors for correcting the NOx concentration detection signal for each individual NOx sensor element. As a result, the following advantages are obtained.
[0013]
・ Improved noise resistance;
・ Improvement of reliability (Elimination of correction resistor eliminates contact between correction resistor and terminal);
-More accurate correction can be performed by software correction by the controller than correction of the NOx concentration detection signal using the correction resistor;
The cost reduction is achieved because the correction resistor and its associated terminals, connectors and lead wires are not required, and the housing can be miniaturized;
-OBD determination is easier than it is now.
[0014]
In a second aspect, the present invention includes a first measurement chamber into which a test gas is introduced via a first diffusion resistor, and a pair of electrodes provided inside and outside the first measurement chamber. An oxygen partial pressure detecting cell for detecting an oxygen concentration in a test gas in the first measurement chamber based on a potential difference between the electrodes, and pumping oxygen from the first measurement chamber to the outside or from the outside of the first measurement chamber. As a result, gas is introduced from the first oxygen pump cell through which a current (hereinafter referred to as “first oxygen pump current”) according to the oxygen concentration in the test gas flows, and from the first measurement chamber via a second diffusion resistor. And a second flow of a current (hereinafter referred to as a “second oxygen pump current”) corresponding to the NOx concentration due to the movement of the dissociated oxygen by decomposing nitrogen oxides in the second measurement chamber. A NOx sensor element comprising: an oxygen pump cell; Exposing to a constant model gas atmosphere to determine a gain value of the second oxygen pump current and an offset value of the second oxygen pump current; and determining the gain value of the second oxygen pump current and the second Storing the offset value of the oxygen pump current in the storage means; outputting the stored gain value and offset value of the second oxygen pump current from the NOx sensor element during measurement; Generating an NOx concentration detection signal based on the second oxygen pump current.
[0015]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The NOx measuring apparatus according to the present invention includes a first measuring chamber into which a test gas is introduced via a first diffusion resistance (for example, a first diffusion hole), and a pair of electrodes provided inside and outside the first measuring chamber. An oxygen partial pressure detection cell that detects an oxygen concentration in a test gas in the first measurement chamber based on a potential difference between the pair of electrodes; and an oxygen partial pressure detection cell outside or outside the first measurement chamber. A first oxygen pump cell through which an electric current (hereinafter, referred to as a “first oxygen pump current”) flows according to the oxygen concentration in the test gas by pumping oxygen from the inside, and a second diffusion resistance from the first measurement chamber. (E.g., a second measurement chamber into which a gas is introduced via a second diffusion hole) and a current corresponding to the NOx concentration by dissolving oxygen that decomposes nitrogen oxide in the second measurement chamber and moves. Hereinafter, referred to as “second oxygen pump current” Using NOx sensor element comprising a hydrogen pump cell, a.
[0016]
The NOx sensor element is connected to the oxygen partial pressure detection cell and the first oxygen pump cell, and controls the first oxygen pump current based on a detection output of the oxygen partial pressure detection cell to perform the first measurement. A first oxygen pump cell control means for controlling the oxygen concentration in the room; and a second oxygen pump cell electrically connected to the second oxygen pump cell, and applying a predetermined voltage to the second oxygen pump cell to thereby control the second oxygen pump cell according to the NOx concentration. And second oxygen pump cell control means for controlling the second oxygen pump cell so that an oxygen pump current flows.
[0017]
In the NOx measuring device according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the controller further includes a controller that calculates a gain value of the first oxygen pump current that indicates a relationship between the magnitude of the first oxygen pump current and the oxygen concentration that is obtained in advance. Means for storing, and means for generating an oxygen concentration detection signal based on the first oxygen pump current and the stored gain value of the first oxygen pump current. The gain value of the first oxygen pump current indicates a change in oxygen concentration corresponding to a change in the first oxygen pump current value, and has a sensitivity represented by a value obtained by dividing the first oxygen pump current value by the oxygen concentration.
