しかしながら、前記表示部1には、前記制御基板2とは別に表示機能に特化した基板が設けられる構成であり、また、前記表示部1に使用される発光ダイオードの数量が増加したり、2色発光などの機能をもたせることにより、前記基板と前記制御基板2とを接続するハーネスが増加してしまうことになって、コスト的に不利になってしまうという問題点を有していた。

また、前記ハーネスに替えて光ファイバーを使用する場合には、同光ファイバーは汎用性がないため、例えば発展途上国での生産においては現地調達が困難であるという問題点を有していた。

本発明においては、上記の問題点に鑑み、光源と表示部とを接続するハーネスや光ファイバーを用いることなく、安価な構成で自由度の高い光源を確保して運転情報を表示できるようにした表示装置を有する空気調和機を提供することを目的とする。

本発明は、上記課題を解決するため、本体内の一側部に制御基板を備えた電装部を設け、他側部に露受皿を下部に備えた熱交換器を設けると共に、本体前面に表示部を設けてなる空気調和機において、
前記電装部の制御基板に、前記露受皿に対向して点灯表示用の発光ダイオードを設ける一方、前記露受皿が、その長手方向の中央部に前記表示部を備えると共に、同表示部に向けて前記発光ダイオードの光を導く導光部を備えて、透過性を有する合成樹脂により一体成形された構成となっている。

以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいた実施例として詳細に説明する。

前記発光ダイオード6を発光させ、これを前記表示部1に導いて点灯表示する際、上記従来技術に記載した問題点を解決するため、ハーネスや光ファイバーを用いることなく、部品点数を削減したコスト的に有利な構造により運転情報を点灯表示できるようにした構成について以下に説明する。

前記電装部3には、図2(A)および図2(B)で示すように、前記露受皿4に対向して点灯表示用の発光ダイオード6を組付けた制御基板2が内設され、前記露受皿4の一端を臨ませた開口部3aが設けられている。
