BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a cable junction box sealing member installed at a cable inlet of a cable junction box.
[0002]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a portion where an optical cable is introduced into a connection box has been subjected to waterproof treatment as shown in FIG. In this waterproofing method, first, as shown in (A), a first sealing material 12A is wound around an optical cable 10 and an annular end face plate 14 (rubber packing, hardness is cone Attach a needle penetration of about 55). Next, as shown in (B), the second sealing material 12B is inserted between the split surfaces of the end face plate 14, and the protruding portion (hatched portion) is cut out. Next, a stainless steel wire 16 is wound around the outer periphery as shown in FIG. 16a is a portion where both ends of the stainless steel wire 16 are twisted. Next, as shown in (D), the third sealing material 12C is wound around the outer periphery, and the release tape 18 is peeled off. Finally, as shown in (E), the outer periphery of the third seal member 12C is sandwiched between the inner peripheral surfaces of the seal portions of the split cable connection box 20 to obtain a waterproof structure. With this structure, a water pressure resistance of 98 kPa or more can be obtained.
[0003]
However, the conventional waterproof structure of the cable introduction portion has an excessive performance when a sealing performance of a drip-proof degree is required. In addition, the number of parts is large, and the construction method is complicated and time-consuming. In addition, since a technique is required for winding the sealing material or the tape, there is a concern that the waterproof performance may differ depending on the operator.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a sealing member for a cable connection box which has a sealing performance set to a drip-proof property and is simple in construction method.
[0005]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In order to achieve this object, the present invention relates to a sealing member installed at a cable introduction portion of a cable connection box, wherein a split surface is provided at one location in a circumferential direction so that a split surface is formed. The seal body is made of a soft rubber seal body that forms an annular shape when butted, and a synthetic resin reinforcement frame integrally attached to both corners of the outer peripheral surface of the seal body. Having an end wall portion closely attached to the outer peripheral portion of the end surface and a peripheral wall portion closely adhered to the outer peripheral side edge, and having a connecting portion at both ends in the circumferential direction for holding the split surfaces of the seal body in abutted state. It is characterized by having.
The sealing member is mounted on the outer periphery of the cable by opening the split surface and then connecting the connecting portion of the reinforcing frame so that the split surfaces abut against each other. In addition to being able to be in close contact, the split surface can be in close contact. Therefore, as in the related art, a waterproof structure can be obtained simply by sandwiching the seal member between the cable connection boxes.
It is preferable that the reinforcing frame body in the above-mentioned cable junction box seal member has a hinge portion formed by making a radial cut in an end face wall portion in a circumferential middle portion. If such a hinge portion is formed, the opening and closing of the split surface can be performed more easily.
[0008] In the seal member for a cable connection box of the present invention, it is preferable that inner peripheral portions of both end surfaces of the seal body have a concave tapered surface. With such a shape, the amount of elastic deformation of the inner peripheral portion of the seal body can be increased, and the range of the applicable cable outer diameter can be expanded.
[0009] In the seal member for a cable connection box of the present invention, it is preferable that a dimension between outer surfaces of the reinforcing frame is set to be larger than a distance between both end walls of the seal member accommodating recess of the cable connection box. With this configuration, when the seal member attached to the outer periphery of the cable is pushed into the housing recess of the cable connection box, the seal body is pressed against the end wall of the reinforcing frame, and the outer peripheral surface of the seal body rises outward. In addition, the inner peripheral surface of the cable connection box and the outer peripheral surface of the seal body are in close contact with each other, and the waterproof performance is improved.
The cable junction box sealing member according to the present invention is composed of a pair of soft rubber half-seal bodies which are divided into two parts and which form an annular shape when the divided surfaces abut against each other. A reinforcing frame made of synthetic resin integrally attached to the corners on both sides of the outer peripheral surface, wherein the reinforcing frame has an end wall portion and an outer peripheral side edge which are in close contact with the outer peripheral portion of the end surface of the half seal body. It is also possible to adopt a configuration having a peripheral wall portion that is in close contact and a connecting portion at both ends in the circumferential direction that holds the pair of half-seal bodies in a state in which the divided surfaces abut against each other.
The seal member for a cable connection box according to the present invention comprises an annular seal body made of soft rubber, and a reinforcing frame made of synthetic resin integrally attached to both corners of the outer peripheral surface of the annular seal body. The reinforcing frame may have an end wall portion that is in close contact with the outer peripheral portion of the end surface of the annular seal body and a peripheral wall portion that is in close contact with the outer peripheral side edge.
Further, the seal member for a cable connection box of the present invention is a synthetic resin disk-shaped member having a circumferential groove on the outer peripheral surface, and a soft rubber mounted in the groove on the outer peripheral surface of the disk-shaped member. And an outer peripheral portion of the annular seal member protrudes from an outer peripheral surface of the disk-shaped member. This seal member is used for closing the cable introduction port where the cable is not introduced when the cable connection box is provided with a plurality of cable introduction ports.
[0013]
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0014]
Embodiment 1 FIGS. 1 to 3 show an embodiment of the present invention. The cable connection box seal member 22 is composed of a soft rubber seal body 24 and a synthetic resin reinforcement frame 26 integrally attached to both corners of the outer peripheral surface of the seal body 22. I have.
The seal body 24 has a split 28 at one location in the circumferential direction, and is formed so as to be annular when the split faces 28a and 28b abut against each other. The hardness of the soft rubber for the seal body 24 is about 85 in cone penetration. By using such a low-hardness rubber, a seal material (adhesive tape) conventionally used is not required, and the range of the applicable cable outer diameter can be expanded.
The reinforcing frame 26 has a substantially L-shaped cross section having an end wall 26a which is in close contact with the outer peripheral portion of the end surface of the seal body 24 and a peripheral wall 26b which is in close contact with the outer peripheral side edge. That is, the reinforcing frame bodies 26 at both corners are in a state of sandwiching the outer peripheral portion of the seal body 24. The outer peripheral surface of the seal body 24 is exposed between the reinforcing frames 26 at both corners, and the exposed surface rises to the same plane as the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 26b of the reinforcing frame 26 or to the outside thereof. It is formed as follows.
At both ends of the reinforcing frame 26, split wall portions 30 are formed so as to be cut into the split surfaces 28a and 28b of the seal body 24. Further, a projection 32 is formed on one of the opposing split wall portions 30, and a hole 34 is formed on the other. The inner diameter of the hole 34 is formed slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the projection 32, and the projection 32 is forcibly pushed into the hole 34 so that both ends of the reinforcing frame 26 are connected. When both ends of the reinforcing frame 26 are connected, the split surfaces 28a and 28b of the seal main body 24 abut each other, and the seal main body 24 is held in an annular shape. Parting plane 28a, the inner diameter D 1 of the seal body 24 in a state in which 28b is abutted is set to be smaller than the outer diameter D 2 of the cable 10. In particular the seal body 24 has a large deformation amount because it is formed of a soft rubber, the range of the applicable cable diameter is large, the inner diameter D 1 is the smallest cable diameter D in the range of applied cable outer diameter of the seal body 24 It is set to be slightly smaller than 2 .
The inner peripheral portions of both end surfaces of the seal body 24 (portions not covered by the end wall portions 26a) each have a concave tapered surface T. That is, the dimension (thickness) of the seal body 24 in the axial direction becomes thinner toward the inner peripheral surface. By doing so, the compression deformation becomes easier on the inner circumference side, so that when the seal member 22 is mounted on the outer circumference of the cable 10 and the split surfaces 28a and 28b are butted against each other, they can be butted with a relatively small force. At the same time, the range of the applicable cable outer diameter can be further expanded.
A hinge portion is formed at a middle portion in the circumferential direction of the reinforcing frame body 26 by making a radial cut 36 in the end face wall portion 26a. When such a hinge portion is formed, opening and closing of the split surfaces 28a and 28b can be easily performed when the seal member 22 is attached to the cable 10.
The seal member 22 configured as described above is mounted on the outer periphery of the cable 10 by opening the split surfaces 28a and 28b, and then connecting both ends of the reinforcing frame 26 by fitting the projections 32 and the holes 34. Only by the rubber elasticity of the seal main body 24, the inner peripheral surface of the seal main body 24 can be brought into close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cable 10, and the split surfaces 28a and 28b can be brought into close contact.
The dimension W 1 (see FIG. 2B) between the outer surfaces of the reinforcing frame 26 when no compressive force is applied to the seal body 24 is determined by the sealing member of the cable connection box 20. The distance W 2 (see FIG. 3) between both end walls 40 a and 40 b of the accommodation recess 38 is set to be larger. Thereby, after the sealing member 22 is attached to the outer periphery of the cable 10 and the housing recess 38 of the cable connection box 20 is put on the sealing member 22 as shown in FIG. 40b results in axial compression. As a result, the outer peripheral surface of the seal main body 24 rises by the height h from the peripheral wall portion 26b of the reinforcing frame, so that when the split cable connection box 20 is joined by applying an external force in the P direction, the housing recess 38 is formed. And the outer peripheral surface of the seal body 24 are sufficiently close to each other, and good waterproof performance can be obtained.
[0022]
Embodiment 2 FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention. The cable connection box sealing member 22 is made of a pair of soft rubber half-seal bodies 42a and 42b, and a synthetic resin integrally attached to the corners on both sides of the outer peripheral surface of each half-seal body 42a and 42b. And a reinforcing frame body 44 made of stainless steel.
The pair of half-seal bodies 42a and 42b are formed in an annular shape when the divided surfaces 46a and 46b abut each other.
The reinforcing frame body 44 has a substantially L-shaped cross section having an end wall part 44a in close contact with the outer periphery of the end surfaces of the half-sealed seal bodies 42a, 42b and a peripheral wall part 44b in close contact with the outer peripheral side edge. . The outer peripheral surfaces of the half-seal bodies 42a and 42b are exposed between the reinforcing frame bodies 44 on both sides. Further, at both ends of the reinforcing frame body 44, divided surface walls 48 are formed so as to be inserted into the divided surfaces 46a, 46b of the half-seal bodies 42a, 42b. Further, the projection 32 is formed on one of the opposing divided surface walls 48, and the hole 34 is formed on the other. The inner diameter of the hole 34 is formed slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the projection 32, and by forcibly pushing the projection 32 into the hole 34, both ends of the reinforcing frame 44 are connected to both ends of the mating reinforcing frame 44. It has become. When the reinforcing frame body 44 is connected to the counterpart, the divided surfaces 46a, 46b of the half-seal bodies 42a, 42b abut against each other, and the half-seal bodies 42a, 42b are held in an annular shape.
The inner peripheral portions at both end surfaces of the half-sealed seal bodies 42a and 42b each have a concave tapered surface T.
With such a configuration, substantially the same effects as in the first embodiment can be obtained.
[0027]
Embodiment 3 FIG. 5 shows still another embodiment of the present invention. The cable connection box seal member 22 includes a soft rubber annular seal body 50 and a synthetic resin reinforcing frame 52 integrally attached to both corners of the outer peripheral surface of the annular seal body 50. Have been.
The annular seal body 50 is the same as the seal body 24 in the first embodiment except that it is continuous in the circumferential direction and has no split. The reinforcing frame 52 also has an end wall 52a and a peripheral wall 52b, and is the same as the reinforcing frame 26 in the first embodiment except that the reinforcing frame 52 is continuous in the circumferential direction and has no connection.
When the seal member 22 is mounted on the outer periphery of the cable, the cable is inserted into the hole 54 of the annular seal body 50.
[0030]
Embodiment 4 FIG. 6 shows still another embodiment of the present invention. The seal member 22 for a cable connection box includes a disk-shaped member 56 made of a synthetic resin having no cable insertion hole at the center and having a circumferential groove 58 on the outer peripheral surface, and a groove on the outer peripheral surface of the disk-shaped member 56. And an annular sealing member 60 made of soft rubber and attached to 58. The outer peripheral portion of the annular seal member 60 protrudes from the outer peripheral surface of the disk-shaped member 56. When the cable connection box is provided with a plurality of cable introduction ports, the cable connection box seal member 22 is used to close the cable introduction port through which the cable is not introduced.
[0031]
As described above, the seal member for a cable connection box according to the present invention uses a seal body made of soft rubber, so that it can cope with a relatively wide range of cable outer diameters and also has a seal body. The corners on both sides of the outer peripheral surface of the cable are reinforced with a synthetic resin reinforcement frame. Deformation can be suppressed, and a sealing effect can be reliably obtained. In addition, since the seal body is made of soft rubber and the connecting portions with the counterpart are provided at both ends of the reinforcing frame, simply connecting both ends of the reinforcing frame with the counterpart, the split surface or splitting of the seal body. The surfaces can be brought into close contact, and the abutting portion of the split surface or the split surface of the seal body can easily ensure waterproofness. Therefore, it is possible to secure the waterproofness of the degree of drip-proofness with a simple structure. In addition, the number of parts is small, there is no trouble in attaching to the outer periphery of the cable, and variations in waterproof performance by the operator can be reduced.
