この発明は、導波管部品を組合せて導波管本体を構成するに際し、導波管部品の内側面及びその組合せ面に金属層を施した樹脂製導波管及びその製造方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来におけるこの種の樹脂製導波管は、使用するマイクロ波において電気伝導性を持たせるために導波管本体の内面に蒸着法又はめっき法により金属層を施していたものが、一般に知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来におけるこの種の樹脂製導波管においては、電気特性的には問題はないが、樹脂は一般的に金属よりも熱伝導率が低いため、金属製導波管に比べて熱に弱いという課題があった。
そこで、この発明はかかる課題を解決するためになされたもので、導波管本体の内側面及びその導波管本体を分割した導波管部品の組合せ面に金属層を形成することにより、その金属層を介して導波管本体の内部から外部に熱が逃げやすくなり、高出力の電磁波伝導を可能とした新規な樹脂製導波管及びその製造方法を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明の請求項1に係る樹脂製導波管は、導波管本体の断面において分割された状態における樹脂製の導波管部品であって、前記導波管本体の内面を形成する前記導波管部品の内側面及び前記導波管部品の組合せ面における一方又は双方の接続面に金属層を形成し、前記導波管部品の組合せ面における金属層を介して前記導波管部品を組合せて前記導波管本体を構成したものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
実施の形態1.
以下、この発明の実施の形態1について、図1を用いて説明する。図1は、実施の形態1に係る樹脂製導波管(樹脂製フィルタ)を説明するための構成斜視図である。図1において、1及び2は、導波管本体の断面における短辺部をその長手方向に沿って2分割した導波管部品で、樹脂により構成している。これらの導波管部品を組合せて導波管本体を構成している。3及び4は、導波管部品1,2の内側面に蒸着法又はめっき法により形成した金属層である。5及び6は、導波管部品1,2の組合せ面であって、これらの組合せ面5,6には蒸着法又はメッキ法により金属層3,4を形成している。導波管部品1,2の組合せ面5,6のほか、それらの外部表面にも金属層を形成している。これらの導波管部品1,2の組合せ面における金属層を接合することにより、樹脂製導波管を構成する。その接合手段としては、例えば導電性接着剤やねじ等により行う。また、図1中の「W」は、樹脂製導波管の内部の長辺部における寸法(幅)を表し、この幅Wとその短辺部における寸法(高さ)Hは、所望の伝送すべき電磁波の周波数に対応している(以下、同じ。)。樹脂製導波管の外部表面にも蒸着法又はメッキ法により金属層を形成している。なお、金属層は、例えばアルミニウム、銅等により構成している。

実施の形態2.
以下、この発明の実施の形態2について、図2を用いて説明する。図2は、実施の形態2に係る樹脂製導波管(樹脂製フィルタ)を説明するための構成斜視図である。図2において、1及び2は、導波管本体の断面における長辺部をその長手方向に沿って2分割したコ字状の導波管部品で、樹脂により構成している。3及び4は、導波管部品1,2の内側面に蒸着法又はメッキ法により形成した金属層である。5及び6は、導波管部品1,2の組合せ面であって、蒸着法又はメッキ法により金属層を形成している。実施の形態1の場合と同様である。導波管部品1,2の組合せ面5,6の金属層を接合することにより、樹脂製導波管を構成する。この導波管の断面における内側の高さ及び幅Wは所望の伝送すべき電磁波の周波数に対応させており、実施の形態1の場合と同様である。金属層3,4を形成した導波管部品1,2は、その組合せ面5,6において、接着剤やねじ等により固定している。このようにして、その導波管内の熱がその組合せ面5,6における金属層を伝わって外部に逃げやすくなるため、耐熱性のある樹脂製導波管を構成することができる。また、導波管部品1及び2は、その導波管の幅Wの半分になる個所で分割・切断しているため、TE10モードの電磁波を伝送する場合には、壁面電流は内壁の上下方向に流れてその導波管の分割面で切れないので、低損失な樹脂製導波管を構成することができる。

実施の形態3.

以下、この発明の実施の形態5について、図5を用いて説明する。図5は、実施の形態5に係る樹脂製導波管フィルタを説明するための構成斜視図である。図5において、1及び2は、誘導性アイリス型の導波管フィルタ部品である。導波管フィルタ部品1、2は、図5に示すように、その断面の短辺部において分割し、その長手方向に沿って切断している。導波管フィルタ部品1及び2の内部構成については、その両短辺部から内部に向かって突出し、かつ、互いに対向するように配置し、その長手方向に沿って所定間隔を隔てて周期的に凸部(アイリス)を形成している。このとき、これらの凸部は、図5に示すように形成しているため、その短辺部を分割するときに分割・切断される構成となっている。しかし、導波管フィルタ部品1、2を組合せたときに、それらの凸部はその高さHの方向において互いに連続するように構成している。5及び6は、導波管フィルタ部品1及び2の組合せ面である。3及び4は、導波管フィルタ部品1,2の凸部を形成した内側面及びその外側面、並びに組合せ面5及び6に蒸着法又はメッキ法により形成した金属層である。この導波管フィルタにおける断面の内側の高さH及び幅Wは、所望の伝送すべき電磁波の周波数に対応させている点、導波管フィルタ部品1及び2を接着剤等により固定する点については、前述の実施の形態と同様である。このように構成すれば、導波管フィルタの管内の熱が組合せ面5、6に形成した金属層を伝わって外部に逃げやすくなるため、耐熱性のある樹脂製導波管フィルタを構成することができる。

以上のようにこの発明に係る樹脂製導波管によれば、導波管部品同士を組合せる接続面に金属層を形成することにより、その金属層を介して導波管本体の内部から外部に熱が逃げやすくなり、耐熱性のある樹脂製導波管を構成することができる。
