Abstract
Description

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention reads unique information shown in a unique code (for example, a one-dimensional code represented by a barcode, a two-dimensional code in a matrix or a multidimensional code in which different-dimensional codes are combined) provided on an object. The present invention relates to a code reader, and more particularly to an internal structure of the code reader.
[Prior art]
Conventionally, when managing a specific object (for example, it is a product), a unique code (for example, one-dimensional, two-dimensional indicating information unique to a product) printed on paper is used to identify each product. Dimensions, multi-dimensional codes) are attached to individual products and provided. Conventionally, a unique or hand-held code reader (code reader) decodes the information indicated by the unique code and reads the unique code (simply referred to as a code) provided in such a product, and reads the entire product. Inventory system management is performed.
For example, among such unique codes, a hand-held type code reader for two-dimensional codes is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-29979. The reading device disclosed in this publication arranges a light source for illumination toward a side opposite to an opening of a hood portion for reading a two-dimensional code, and a reading surface on which the two-dimensional code is provided by indirect illumination. Is irradiated. Then, the reflected light hitting the two-dimensional code is input through a lens, and the code is read by a two-dimensional sensor. Further, in the code reader disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 2780146, a light-entering aperture mechanism is further provided on the reading port side of the lens in the above-described configuration, and a light source body for illuminating the surface to be read is provided on the surface of the light-entering aperture mechanism. The surface of the entrance stop is scattered in a bright color (for example, white).
[Problems to be solved by the present invention]
In the code reader disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 2780146 described above, a light entrance stop mechanism is provided on the reading opening side of the lens, and the light source emits light toward the brightly colored surface of the light entrance stop mechanism. . For this reason, if the surface of the light entrance diaphragm mechanism is simply made bright, the brightness of the light is uneven on the surface to be read provided with the unique code, and the light for illumination is efficiently applied to the surface to be read. Irradiation is not possible.
In other words, when light is emitted from the light source body to the surface of the light entrance stop mechanism, the light hits and reflects on the surface of the light entrance stop mechanism that has become brightly colored. When the light is reflected by the surface, the intensity of the light is attenuated. For this reason, when irradiating the surface to be read based on the light reflected by the surface of the light entrance stop mechanism, the surface to be read becomes dark due to attenuation of light intensity on the surface of the stop mechanism. Is generated.
In addition, when light emitted from the light source body is applied perpendicularly to the stop surface of the light entrance stop mechanism, the light source body is fixed to the inner wall of the housing and emits light. From there, light is irradiated at a predetermined irradiation angle to the opposing light entrance stop, and a part of the light (irradiation angle / 2) is diffused and emitted toward the center of the light entrance stop mechanism. However, the center of the light entrance aperture mechanism (the position of the hole for entering the reflected light) becomes dark, and the periphery thereof becomes brighter than the center. Therefore, the center of the surface to be read where the code is to be actually read becomes dark, and the irradiation of light to the surface to be read becomes uneven, making it difficult to recognize the code.
For example, when performing code recognition of a one-dimensional code represented by a barcode, in order for the code reader to recognize a barcode that is longer in the vertical direction than in the vertical direction, the code reader actually reads the barcode. The size of the hood unit (reading unit) that performs the above-described process tends to be inevitably increased due to the code shape as compared with a square two-dimensional code. In this case, if the light emitted from the light source is applied perpendicularly to the light entrance surface as described above, the surface facing the light source is brightened by the light from the light source, but the code is actually read. The center of the surface to be read, on which the code is to be read, is darkened, which makes it difficult to recognize the code. Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and has been made to achieve a configuration in which light is efficiently irradiated to a read surface on which a code is read, and a configuration in which code recognition is facilitated. Subject.
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The technical means taken to solve the above-mentioned problem is a housing having a reading unit for reading a unique code provided on an object, a plurality of light emitting means arranged inside the housing, An imaging unit disposed to image the unique code; and a light limiting unit configured to limit an amount of light incident on the imaging unit. The light emitted from the light emitting unit is used to read the unique code. A code reading device that irradiates a reading surface and reads information indicated by the unique code based on reflected light reflected on the unique code,
At a position at a predetermined angle with respect to the light limiting means, a light reflecting means for reflecting light is provided, light is emitted from the light emitting means toward the light reflecting means, and light reflected by the light reflecting means is provided. Thus, the surface to be read is irradiated. According to the above-described means, the light-reflecting means for reflecting the light at a position at a predetermined angle with respect to the light-limiting means is provided, and when light is emitted from the light-emitting means toward the light-reflecting means, the light is reflected by the light-reflecting means. The light is reflected, and the surface to be read is irradiated with the light reflected by the light reflecting means. That is, the light reflecting means is disposed at a predetermined angle with respect to the light limiting means, and the light emitted from the light emitting means is reflected by the light reflecting means in a direction different from the direction in which the light emitting means is provided. Since the reflected light of the light emitted from the plurality of light emitting units is collected and irradiated on the surface to be read by the reflecting unit, efficient irradiation on the surface to be read can be performed.
In this case, when the light emitting means and the light reflecting means are provided in a pair or an annular shape in the housing, the light emitted from the plurality of light emitting means is reflected by the light reflecting means provided in the pair or the annular shape, and the light reflecting means is provided. As a result, it is possible to collect the reflected light reflected toward the center and brighten the periphery of the light restricting means. Therefore, light having uniform brightness is irradiated on the surface to be read.
When the light reflecting means irradiates light to the surface to be read, the light emitted from the plurality of light emitting means is reflected by the light reflecting means, and the reflected light is collected on the surface to be read. Irradiation on the reading surface becomes possible. Therefore, only by setting the angle with respect to the light restricting means of the light reflecting means, the surface to be read becomes bright and the code can be easily recognized.
Therefore, with the above-described configuration, the brightness of light on the surface to be read provided with the unique code does not become uneven, compared to a configuration in which the surface of the light entrance stop mechanism is simply colored brightly, This is a device that can perform efficient irradiation.

According to the present invention, the light emitted from the light emitting means is reflected by the light reflecting means, and the direction of the light is collected by the light reflecting means from the plurality of light emitting means by setting the angle of the light reflecting means. In this case, the surface to be read can be illuminated, so that efficient irradiation can be performed.
In this case, when the light emitting means and the light reflecting means are provided in pairs or in a ring in the housing, based on the light emitted from the plurality of light emitting means, only the arrangement of the light emitting means and the light reflecting means is determined. The surroundings of the light restricting means can be made bright, and uniform light can be applied to the surface to be read without unevenness. Therefore, it is possible to adopt a configuration that facilitates code recognition.
When the light reflecting means irradiates light to the surface to be read, the light emitted from the plurality of light emitting means is collected on the surface to be read by the light reflecting means, and can be irradiated to the surface to be read. By setting the angle of the reflection means, the surface to be read can be made bright, and the code can be easily recognized.
