Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, and more particularly to a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle that can secure turning stability at a large camber angle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Unlike a four-wheeled vehicle such as a passenger car, a two-wheeled vehicle involves a bank angle at the time of turning. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 4, the tire used for the two-wheeled vehicle is near the tire equatorial plane CL in a cross section including the rotation axis of the tread tread. Is smaller than that of a four-wheeled vehicle.
[0003]
In general, the smaller the radius of curvature R1 near the tire equatorial plane CL, the lighter the vehicle body can be banked.
[0004]
One of the techniques for increasing the stability during turning is to increase the contact area of the tire. For this purpose, it is effective to increase the radius of curvature R2 on the shoulder side in the cross-sectional shape of the tire. It is.
[0005]
In other words, in order to achieve both lightness and stability during turning, the cross-sectional shape is desirably the shape of the curvature radius on the shoulder side> the radius of curvature on the tire equatorial plane side.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, for this purpose, it is necessary to increase the radius of curvature of the shoulder portion of the mold for manufacturing the tire. On the other hand, the bladder that plays the role of pressing the tire to the mold from the inside of the mold is an ellipse (the tire rotation axis). When viewed in a cross-section along the tire, the ellipse is longer in the tire radial direction and shorter in the tire axial direction). The tread rubber gauge tends to be thin, and the out-of-plane bending stiffness of the tire cross section at 1/4 point to 1/8 point is lower than that near the tread end.
[0007]
For this reason, in a large camber angle state in which the tread end is in contact with the ground, the difference in rigidity causes the ground pressure at the 剛性 point to 8 point with low rigidity to decrease, and a sufficient lateral force is obtained by the decrease in the ground pressure. There is a problem that the rider cannot lean the vehicle with confidence.
[0008]
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle that can maintain a large turning stability at a large camber angle in consideration of the above fact.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to
[0010]
Next, the operation of the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to
[0011]
First, in the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to
[0012]
Generally, the pressure distribution in the ground plane largely depends on the out-of-plane bending stiffness, and the fact that the tread gauge at 1/4 to 1/8 point is thinner than the ground end (tread end) means that Out-of-plane bending stiffness at 1/4 point to 1/8 point is low.
[0013]
It is known that when the contact area is the same, a smaller pressure difference within the contact surface produces a greater lateral force than a larger one, and the tread gauge is made as uniform as possible (ie, the out-of-plane bending stiffness is made as uniform as possible). ), It is possible to obtain a large lateral force on a non-uniform object.
[0014]
The pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to
[0015]
In addition, a tread gauge shall measure along the normal line of a tread tread.
[0016]
The out-of-plane bending stiffness G of the simple model member 104 combining the two types of
G '= Wt 1 3 · E 1/12 + Wt 2 3 · E 2/12 + W {(
Therefore, assuming that the width W of each member is constant, for example, the tread end (the rigidity is Gh): E 1 = E 2 = 1.1, t 1 = 9.3, t 2 = 0 (that is, E = 1.1 only when the member has a total gauge of 9.3) and at 1/8 the point where there is no squeegee rubber (the stiffness is Ga): E 1 = 1.1, E 2 = 1.1, t 1 = 5.3, t 2 = 1.0 and 1/8 point with squeegee rubber (rigidity is Gb): E 1 = 1.1, E 2 = 5.5, t 1 = 5.3 , T 2 = 1.0, the rigidity ratio is Gh: Ga: Gb = 100: 31: 57.
[0017]
From this, due to the relationship between the mold and the bladder, for example, even if the tread rubber gauge at 1/8 point can be secured only up to about 6.3 mm with respect to the tread rubber gauge at 9.3 mm at the tread end, It can be seen that the difference in rigidity can be greatly reduced by adding 1.0 mm of high elasticity squeegee rubber which is 5.5 times as large.
[0018]
According to a second aspect of the invention, in the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to the first aspect, the gauge of the squeegee rubber is 0.5 to 1.5 mm.
[0019]
Next, the operation of the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to claim 2 will be described.
[0020]
If the gauge of the squeegee rubber is less than 0.5 mm, a hard rubber having an elastic modulus of 10 times or more of the tread rubber is required to sufficiently obtain the effect of the squeegee rubber, so that the distortion at the interface between the tread rubber and the squeegee rubber is reduced. It is unfavorable because it is likely to be large and induce separation.
[0021]
On the other hand, when the gauge of the squeegee rubber exceeds 1.5 mm, a difference in rigidity such as in-plane shear rigidity becomes large, which affects steering stability, which is not preferable.
[0022]
Therefore, when the squeegee rubber is provided, it is preferable that the gauge be in the range of 0.5 to 1.5 mm.
[0023]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to the first or second aspect, when the elastic modulus of the squeegee rubber is MS and the elastic modulus of the tread rubber is MT, 1 ≦ MS. / MT <10.
[0024]
Next, the operation of the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to claim 3 will be described.
[0025]
If MS / MT ≧ 10, the squeegee rubber becomes too hard, and the strain at the interface between the tread rubber and the squeegee rubber increases, which may cause separation, which is not preferable.
[0026]
On the other hand, when 1> MS / MT, the elastic modulus of the squeegee rubber becomes smaller than the elastic modulus of the tread rubber, and the bending rigidity of the tread decreases.
[0027]
Therefore, it is preferable that the elastic modulus MS of the squeegee rubber and the elastic modulus MT of the tread rubber satisfy 1 ≦ MS / MT <10.
[0028]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.

The radius of curvature R Sh on the shoulder side is an average radius of curvature between the tread end 18E and the 4 point P 4, and the radius of curvature between the 4 point P 4 and the tire equatorial plane CL. The average radius of curvature.

Actual vehicle test: Each test tire was mounted on an actual vehicle (two-wheeled vehicle), and a skilled driver performed test running on a dry test road to evaluate feeling. The evaluation is indicated by an index with the conventional tire being 100, and the larger the value, the better the stability during cornering.
[0052]
Lateral force test: The maximum lateral force (CF Max) was measured when a vertical load of 0.98 kN was applied to the test tire, the camber angle (CA) was changed, and the slip angle was swept from -1 to 8 °. .
[0053]
[Table 1]
As a result of an actual vehicle test, it is understood that the tire of the example to which the present invention is applied has improved stability at the time of cornering as compared with the conventional tire.
[0054]
In addition, the result of examining the relationship between the camber angle and the cornering force using a lateral force measurement tester is as shown in FIG. 3, and the tire of the example to which the present invention is applied is compared with the conventional tire. It can be seen that the lateral force generated at a large camber angle is large.
[0055]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the pneumatic tire for a motorcycle according to the present invention has the above-described configuration, and thus has an excellent effect that the turning stability at a large camber angle can be largely maintained.
