Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an autonomous mobile device that autonomously moves to a destination while recognizing its own position from map information, travel information, and environmental information.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Performs autonomous movement to the destination based on its own travel information obtained through an encoder or the like and map information in the travel area given in advance, and environmental information such as walls in the travel area and previously installed marks. Is obtained by laser radar or image processing, and the self-position estimation value based on the traveling information and the obtained environment information are compared with the wall and mark position information included in the map information, so that the self-position estimation value is correct An autonomous mobile device that confirms whether or not the autonomous mobile device moves to a given destination based on the recognition of the self-position is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H8-161039.
[0003]
By the way, whether or not an error has occurred in the self-position estimation value based on the traveling information is determined by mapping the self-position estimation value and the environment information obtained at that time on the map information, and using the environment information ( It is determined whether or not the environment information obtained in the above-mentioned position information) matches. If the two do not match, it is determined that an error has occurred in the traveling information and the self-position estimation value is shifted, and the self-position estimation value is corrected. In order to calculate the correction amount, it is first checked which part of the obtained environment information matches the map information. At this time, if the environment information is compared with the map information of the entire traveling area or a wide area, it takes a lot of time, and there may be places of similar environment in the traveling area Is likely to be the current location because of the high possibility of the erroneous location. Therefore, instead of the whole area or the wide area of the map information, the self-position estimation value (including the direction) obtained from the traveling information is centered. By examining whether there is a position and orientation where the environmental information matches within a predetermined range, the amount of calculation is reduced, and at the same time, when there are multiple similar places on the map information, This reduces the risk of erroneously determining that the location is the self-position to be corrected.

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, if the deviation (error) of the self-position estimation value based on the traveling information exceeds the above-described predetermined range, the self-position cannot be recognized and corrected by the above-described method. The autonomous mobile device is stopped on the spot, and waits for a person to input accurate position coordinates. Therefore, the autonomous mobile device remains stopped until the person comes to the autonomous mobile device and completes the input of the position coordinates.
[0006]
It is conceivable to move the autonomous mobile device appropriately in anticipation of entering the above-mentioned predetermined range by relying on the obstacle detection function by the environmental information acquisition means, but this is where the autonomous mobile device is not the original traveling area. There is a risk of moving to.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of such a point, and an object of the present invention is to automatically recover the self-position recognition promptly even if the self-position cannot be recognized within a predetermined range and the self-position is lost. The present invention is to provide an autonomous mobile device capable of performing the following.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Thus, the present invention comprises environment information acquisition means for acquiring environment information for self-position confirmation and map information of a traveling area, and estimates the self-position from the traveling information of the self and acquires the environment information acquisition means. In an autonomous mobile device that compares the environment information obtained in the above with the environment information included in the map information and corrects the self-position estimation value based on the comparison result, the self-position recognition unit that estimates and corrects the self-position is When comparing the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition means with the environment information included in the map information, based on the self-position estimation value, a comparison is performed within a predetermined range set in advance, and the correction information is obtained by the comparison. The first characteristic is that when the result cannot be obtained, the above-mentioned predetermined range is expanded and the collation is performed again.
[0009]
Further, in the present invention, when comparing the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition means with the environment information included in the map information, based on the self-position estimation value, the matching is performed within a predetermined range set in advance. The second feature is that when the correction information cannot be obtained by the collation, the collation is performed again by shifting the predetermined range by changing the self-position estimation value. When comparing the environment information obtained in the above with the environment information included in the above-mentioned map information, the matching is performed within a predetermined range set in advance based on the self-position estimation value. The third feature is that the matching is performed again by shifting the predetermined range by changing the acquisition direction of the environment information obtained by the environment information obtaining means.
[0010]
When comparing the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition means with the environment information included in the map information, based on the self-position estimation value, a comparison is performed within a predetermined range set in advance, and the correction information is obtained by this comparison. If it cannot be obtained, the above-mentioned predetermined range is expanded and re-checked. If the correction information cannot be obtained even in this check, the above-mentioned predetermined range is shifted again by changing the self-position estimation value. When comparing the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition means with the environment information included in the map information, based on the self-position estimation value, a comparison is performed within a predetermined range set in advance, and the correction information is obtained by the comparison. When it is not possible to obtain the correction information by widening the predetermined range, and when the correction information cannot be obtained by this verification, the predetermined range is shifted by changing the acquisition direction of the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition means. Again In performing collation, or in collating the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition means with the environment information included in the map information, collation is performed within a predetermined range set in advance based on the self-position estimation value. When the correction information cannot be obtained by this comparison, the predetermined range is shifted by changing the self-position estimation value, and the verification is performed again. When the correction information cannot be obtained by this verification, the predetermined range is expanded. When the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition unit is compared with the environment information included in the map information, the matching is performed again within a predetermined range based on the self-position estimation value. When the correction information cannot be obtained by this collation, the acquisition direction of the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition means is changed to perform the collation again by shifting the predetermined range, and the correction information cannot be obtained also by this collation. When, may perform again the matching spread the predetermined range.
[0011]
It is preferable that the above-mentioned predetermined range is set around an estimated position of a collation target for self-position recognition obtained from environmental information.
[0012]
Preferably, the self-position recognition means preferably widens the predetermined range or shifts the predetermined range until the environment information acquisition means obtains a new collation target or environment information including a plurality of collation targets. Can be.
[0013]
Further, a human interface unit having a display unit for displaying map information and an operation input unit for inputting the position and orientation of the autonomous mobile device on the displayed map is provided. Is input, the self-position recognition means corrects the self-position by comparing the input information with the environment information obtained by the environment information obtaining means and the environment information included in the map information. It is desirable to restart the movement.
[0014]
The self-position recognizing means preliminarily stores position information of a predetermined teaching location in the traveling area, and the self-position recognizing means pre-stores the self-position in response to input that the self-position recognizing means is located at the teaching location. The movement may be restarted by correcting the position information of the teaching position being used.
[0015]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on an example of an embodiment. FIG. 2 is a block diagram of an autonomous mobile device according to the present invention. A
[0016]
The self-position recognizing means 15 estimates the self-position (including the direction) on the map information from the travel information while traveling along the travel route, and simultaneously checks the environment information with the map information. The recognition result evaluation unit verifies whether or not there is an error in the self-position estimation value. If there is an error, the self-position is corrected.
[0017]
Now, the environment information acquisition means 13 is a laser radar device arranged in front of the autonomous mobile device, and determines the distance and direction from the reflected light from the reflection mark appropriately installed in the traveling area to the reflection mark. The map information includes information on the arrangement position of the reflection mark to be collated, and the map is represented on the X and Y planes, and the position information of the autonomous mobile device is located within the plane. Is determined by the position (x, y) and the angle a between the traveling direction and the X axis (counterclockwise is positive), there is a judgment whether there is an error in the self-position estimation value and an error. The correction operation in the case will be described. When the reflection marks are located on M0 to M3 in FIG. 3 on the map information and the self-position estimation value obtained from the traveling information is the position (x, y, a) of A, the environmental information Obtained by acquisition means 13 If the position information of the shooting mark is a position m1 at a distance d1 at an angle α with respect to the traveling direction a and a position m2 at a distance d2 at an angle −β, the self-position recognizing means 15 determines the positions m1 and m2 on the map information. It is determined whether or not the reflection marks M1 and M2 are present within a circle having a radius r with the center as the center. If the positions of m1, M1 and m2 and M2 match, the self-position estimation value obtained from the driving information is used. It is determined that there is no error, and if they do not match as shown in FIG. 3A, the self-position estimation values are set so that the positions of m1 and m2 match the positions of M1 and M2 (see FIG. 3B). Make corrections. Even when only the position information m1 of one reflection mark is obtained by the environment information acquisition means 13 as shown in FIG. 4A, the reflection mark M1 is located at the position of the angle α and the distance d1 with respect to the traveling direction. By making it exist, the self-position estimation value is corrected as shown in FIG.
[0018]
Here, on the map information, the above-mentioned radius r centered on the position m1 (, m2) of the reflection mark obtained by the environment
[0019]
However, as shown in FIG. 5, when there is no reflection mark M1 (, M2) registered in the map information within the narrow predetermined range of the radius r, the self-position correction algorithm described above corrects the self-position. Therefore, the self-position recognizing means 15 stops the autonomous mobile device temporarily when there is no reflection mark M1 (, M2) within the predetermined range of the radius r, and in this state, the position information of the reflection mark is obtained. The reflection mark M1 (, M2) is searched within a radius R (R> r) centered at m1 (, m2), and if there is a reflection mark M1 (, M2), the position of the reflection mark M1 (, m2) is added thereto. ) Is corrected to match the self-position estimation value. Therefore, even if the error in the self-position estimation is slightly increased, it is almost impossible to correct the self-position estimation value, and the time required for the correction can be reduced. After the self-position estimation value is corrected, a new self-position estimation value is obtained and collation is performed within the range r.
[0020]
Note that the value of the radius R (or the value of Rr) may be a fixed value, but the range may be gradually increased until a new reflection mark or a plurality of reflection marks is obtained. The spread may be performed until a new reflection mark or a plurality of reflection marks are obtained. This is because if the range is excessively widened, there is a risk of erroneous self-position recognition.
[0021]
If the matching is not obtained even within the range of the radius R, as shown in FIG. 1, a required angle determined in advance with respect to the self-position information (x, y, a) obtained by the driving
[0022]
The autonomous mobile device is actually rotated by the preset angle γ on the spot, instead of changing the self-position estimation value by applying the required angle Δ and shifting the search range which is the required range in the map information. Then, the acquisition direction of the environment information obtained by the environment
[0023]
In particular, the position information of the reflection mark obtained by the environment information acquisition means 13 is only one (m) as shown in FIG. 7A, and the position m of the reflection mark and the neighborhood registered in the map information. 7 (b), it is not possible to determine which of the plurality of reflection marks M0 to M3 registered in the map information matches the detected reflection mark m with respect to the position M1 of the reflection mark of FIG. ), The autonomous mobile device is rotated until the environment information acquisition means 13 obtains the position information m0 and m1 of the two reflection marks, and the reflection marks M0 and M1 matching the position information m0 and m1 are radiused. By searching in R, the self-position can be recognized accurately.
[0024]
In this case, the rotation may be repeated until the environment
[0025]
In any case, the position m1 (, m2) and the position M1 (, M2) are initially corrected within the small predetermined range of the radius r to correct the own position. In the case where the range is widened and the matching is still not possible, the matching is performed by shifting the range, and the environment information obtained by the environment
[0026]
In addition, if the matching is not achieved even if the range is expanded, the above range is shifted. However, the range is shifted first, and if the matching is not achieved, the range is expanded. The range may be shifted again, and further, the range may be expanded and the range may be shifted at the same time.
[0027]
Further, the environment
[0028]
FIG. 9 shows a case in which the self-position is corrected by recognizing a wall located in front of the traveling direction by the environment
[0029]
When the correction is performed using such information of the wall, when the walls G1 and G2 obtained by the environment
[0030]
In addition, in preparation for a case where the self-position cannot be corrected even if the range is expanded or shifted, the
[0031]
When the autonomous mobile device cannot correct the estimated value of the self-location, stops on the spot and displays a message indicating that the self-location cannot be recognized, the operator displays the corresponding area map on the area
[0032]
Self-position teaching to the autonomous mobile device when the self-position cannot be corrected even if the range is expanded or shifted is not the manual input of position information using the human interface as described above, but as the following Is also good.
[0033]
That is, the teaching point T is determined in advance in the traveling area of the autonomous mobile device, and the location is marked with the direction as shown in FIG. In addition, the autonomous mobile device stores in advance position information including the direction of the teaching location T on the map information, and is provided with a teaching button (not shown).
[0034]
Then, when the autonomous mobile device cannot correct the self-position estimation value, stops at that position, and displays a message indicating that the self-position cannot be recognized, the operator H pushes the autonomous mobile device to the teaching point T and If the direction of the autonomous mobile device is aligned with the marking of the teaching point T and the teaching button is pressed in that state, the position information including the direction previously stored on the map information about the teaching point T is recognized by the self-position recognition means. 15 is taken as the current self-position.
[0035]
The correction performed in this manner is particularly effective when the self-position estimation value based on the traveling information recognized by the autonomous mobile device is greatly deviated from the actual position, and the correction based on the position information input illustrated in FIG. Is also convenient.
[0036]
It is needless to say that the teaching location T is desirably a point where the self-
[0037]
In addition, when the autonomous mobile device cannot correct its own position estimation value and stops on the spot, it is necessary to notify the operator H that such a situation has occurred. It is not always reserved, and even if the autonomous mobile device displays a message indicating that the self-location has been lost, the message may not be immediately transmitted to the operator H. Therefore, as shown in FIG. .., Each comprising a personal computer or the like, are arranged at the respective points, and a message display (including a voice, an alarm, etc.) requesting teaching is also provided to these monitoring stations S1, S2,. It is preferable to output.
[0038]
FIG. 15 shows an example of a flow relating to information transmission / reception between the monitoring stations S1 and S2 provided with the wireless two-way communication means and the autonomous
[0039]
When each monitoring station S1 is under the control of the central management device N which manages the map information and the autonomous
[0040]
Even if there are a plurality of monitoring stations S1, S2, and S3, the closest monitoring station S1 is given priority in consideration of the time from when the operator H arrives at the autonomous mobile device and teaches. Is preferred. For this reason, the distances d1, d2 to the monitoring stations S1, S2, S3 are obtained from the self-position estimation value immediately before the self-position is lost and the position information of the monitoring stations S1, S2, S3 stored in advance. d3 is calculated, and a teaching request signal is immediately sent to the nearest monitoring station S1, and delays s according to the distance difference and the delay speed V are sent to the other monitoring stations S2 and S3. 2 , S 3 (S 2 = (D2-d1) / V, s 3 = (D3-d1) / V), the teaching request signal may be sent. The second closest monitoring station S2 has s 2 After the second, s is added to the farthest monitoring station S3. 3 A teaching request signal is sent in seconds. If the teaching request reception signal is transmitted from any of the monitoring stations by the operation of the operator H, the teaching request withdrawal signal is transmitted to the other monitoring stations to which the teaching request signal has already been transmitted. Same as above.
[0041]
In addition, when the self-position recognizing means 15 of the autonomous mobile device cannot recognize the self-position, it is desirable to record the self-position estimation value (or the position immediately before) and the date and time. By examining the list of records, it is possible to know that the arrangement of the reflection marks and the arrangement of the walls and the like at a specific position are inappropriate for self-position recognition. Also, if the self-location loss is concentrated in a specific time zone, it is difficult to know that the environment
[0042]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention includes environment information acquisition means for acquiring environment information for self-location confirmation and map information of a traveling area, and estimates a self-position from own traveling information, In an autonomous mobile device that compares the environment information obtained by the information acquisition unit with the environment information included in the map information and corrects the self-position estimation value based on the comparison result, the self-position that estimates and corrects the self-position When recognizing the environment information obtained by the environment information obtaining means and the environment information included in the map information, the recognizing means performs collation within a predetermined range set in advance based on the self-position estimation value. When the correction information cannot be obtained by the above, the above-mentioned predetermined range is expanded and the collation is performed again, or the self-position estimation value is changed so that the predetermined range is shifted and the collation is performed again. By changing the acquisition direction of the environment information obtained in the above, the predetermined range is shifted and the collation is performed again. Since the collation is limited to the predetermined range, the collation can be performed in a short time, It is also possible to perform the collation operation while moving, and if collation is not possible, the collation can be performed almost certainly because the predetermined range is expanded or shifted and collation is performed again, The vehicle does not get stuck losing its own position or move out of the traveling area.
[0043]
Then, based on the self-position estimation value, collation is performed within a predetermined range that is set in advance. When correction information cannot be obtained by this collation, the predetermined range is expanded and collation is performed again. When it is not possible to obtain the position, the above-mentioned predetermined range is shifted and the collation is performed again by changing the self-position estimation value, or the collation is performed within a predetermined range set in advance based on the self-position estimation value. When the correction information cannot be obtained by this collation, the predetermined range is expanded, and the collation is performed again. When the correction information cannot be obtained by this collation, the acquisition direction of the environment information obtained by the environment information acquisition unit is changed. The matching may be performed again by shifting the predetermined range, or the matching may be performed within a predetermined range set in advance based on the self-position estimation value. Change value By performing the comparison again by shifting the predetermined range, if the correction information cannot be obtained by this comparison, the predetermined range may be expanded and the comparison may be performed again, or a preset value may be set based on the self-position estimation value. When the correction information cannot be obtained by this comparison, the direction of the environment information obtained by the environment information obtaining means is changed to perform the verification again by shifting the predetermined range. When the correction information cannot be obtained even by the collation, if the predetermined range is expanded and the collation is performed again, the collation can be performed more reliably and the self-position can be corrected.
[0044]
If the above-mentioned predetermined range is set around the estimated position of the matching target for self-position recognition obtained from the environment information, the possibility that the matching can be obtained even if the predetermined range is narrow increases. The time required to correct the value can be shortened.
[0045]
In addition, if the self-position recognition unit expands the predetermined range or shifts the predetermined range until the environment information acquisition unit obtains a new collation target or environment information including a plurality of collation targets, the collation may be performed. The operation can be performed more accurately.
[0046]
Further, a human interface unit having a display unit for displaying map information and an operation input unit for inputting the position and orientation of the autonomous mobile device on the displayed map is provided. Is input, the self-position recognition means corrects the self-position by comparing the input information with the environment information obtained by the environment information obtaining means and the environment information included in the map information. If the movement is restarted, the movement can be restarted without any trouble even if the self-position is lost due to the inability to perform the collation. Such a human interface unit can also be effectively used for setting the initial position of the autonomous mobile device.
[0047]
Further, the self-position recognizing means previously stores position information of a predetermined teaching location in the traveling area, and upon receiving an input that the self-position recognizing means is located at the teaching location, the self-position recognizing means sets the self-position in advance. Teaching can be easily performed as long as the teaching position is corrected and the movement is restarted.
