Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a substrate detection sensor that is provided in, for example, a substrate transporter attached to a chip mounting machine in the manufacture of a semiconductor device and detects the presence or absence of a substrate.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, in the manufacture of semiconductor devices, there is a chip mounter that mounts a semiconductor chip on a wiring board, and a substrate transfer machine that conveys the wiring board to the chip mounter is used. This substrate transporter is generally provided with a substrate detection sensor for detecting the presence or absence of a wiring substrate and controlling the transport operation based on the detection signal.
[0003]
Since various members are disposed around the mounting portion of the board detection sensor, a reflection distance measuring type is used as the board detection sensor so that the board detection sensor does not erroneously detect an undesired member other than the wiring board. (See, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the above-mentioned reflection type distance measurement type substrate detection sensor, the light emitted from the light emitting element is reflected on the wiring board, and the reflected light is incident on the light receiving element. At this time, since the angle difference between the light emitted from the light emitting element and the light incident on the light receiving element reflected on the wiring board has a predetermined relationship with the distance from the sensor to the wiring board, the angle difference is determined based on the angle difference. By calculating the measurement distance, the separation distance from the sensor to the wiring board can be measured. In this board detection sensor, it is determined whether or not the measured value is a wiring board based on a set value registered in advance.
[0006]
On the other hand, some wiring boards are formed with notches or mounting holes, and in the case of a board detection sensor configured to detect the presence or absence of a board by measuring the distance to the board in this way, If the position where the notch or the mounting hole is provided becomes the sensor detection point, the wiring board does not exist at the detection point, and in this case, it becomes impossible to detect the wiring board.
[0007]
In the invention disclosed in
[0008]
Also, for example, if there is an object having a higher reflectance than the wiring board behind the wiring board, the board detection sensor may detect reflected light from a high-reflectivity object located behind the wiring board, It may be difficult to reliably detect the wiring board.
[0009]
In view of the above, the present invention has been proposed in view of the above-mentioned problems, and has as its object the presence of a notch or a mounting hole formed in a wiring board, or the reflection of the reflectance at the rear of the wiring board. An object of the present invention is to provide a board detection sensor that can reliably detect a wiring board without adjusting a sensor detection position even when another object that is high is present.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a technical means for achieving the object, the present invention includes a light emitting element, a light emitting lens, a light receiving element, and a light receiving lens, and is separated from the light emitting element by a predetermined distance by using a triangulation method. A substrate detection sensor that detects whether a substrate is present at a position, and irradiates the substrate with light emitted from the light emitting element via a light emitting lens to generate an elliptical detection point. The reflected light reflected at the detection point is imaged on a light receiving element via a light receiving lens.
[0011]
In the present invention, the light emitted from the light emitting element is irradiated on the substrate via the light emitting lens to generate an elliptical detection point, and the reflected light reflected at the detection point is transmitted to the light receiving element via the light receiving lens. By forming an image, even if there are notches or mounting holes formed on the substrate, or if there is another object with high reflectivity behind the substrate, it is separated from the light emitting element by a predetermined distance. It is possible to reliably detect whether or not the substrate exists at the determined position.
[0012]
In the above configuration, it is preferable that the light emitting element has a configuration in which a plurality of light emitting diodes including a red light emitting diode and an infrared light emitting diode are arranged close to each other in a straight line. The red light emitting diode is used for a pilot so that an operator or the like can visually confirm the detection position of the board, and the infrared light emitting diode is used for sensing for actually detecting the presence or absence of the board.
[0013]
In the above configuration, it is preferable that the light receiving element is constituted by a two-part photodiode having a dividing line parallel to the arrangement direction of the light emitting diodes constituting the light projecting element. With this configuration, the elliptical detection point is imaged on the light receiving element in a direction in which the major axis direction coincides with the division direction of the photodiode, thereby improving the detection accuracy.
[0014]
In the above configuration, it is desirable that at least the light projecting lens of the light projecting lens or the light receiving lens is an aspheric toric lens. The aspherical toric lens has a lens surface having a different radius of curvature in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction, for example. In the present invention, the light-projecting element emits light so as to be focused at a detection point on the substrate in the X-axis direction. A light having a shape that restricts emitted light and suppresses diffusion of light emitted from the light projecting element so as to slightly defocus at the detection point in the Y-axis direction is used. In this way, elliptical detection points can be easily generated.
[0015]
In the above configuration, it is preferable to provide an OFF prevention circuit that controls the light emitting amount of the light projecting element to increase or decrease according to the increase or decrease of the amount of reflected light received by the light receiving element, thereby ensuring a constant detection sensitivity. If the amount of reflected light received by the light receiving element decreases due to a notch or the like formed in the substrate due to the OFF prevention circuit, the amount of light output from the light emitting element is increased by increasing the amount of light output from the light emitting element during the operation of the OFF prevention circuit. The amount can be optimized.
[0016]
In the above configuration, it is preferable that an ON delay circuit that turns on the sensor output when a predetermined number of pulse signals output from the light receiving element are continuously generated is provided. With this ON delay circuit, the light received by the light receiving element can be distinguished from the disturbance light and the reflected light from the substrate, and the malfunction of the substrate detection sensor due to the disturbance light can be prevented. In addition, immediately before the sensor output is turned on by the ON delay circuit, the light emission of the light emitting element is temporarily stopped, or the light emission timing of the light emitting element is randomly changed each time light is received by the light receiving element. It is desirable to have a configuration in which: In this way, the disturbance light and the reflected light from the substrate can be more reliably distinguished.
[0017]

The board transporter that transports a wiring board to a chip mounter in the manufacture of semiconductor devices often adopts a layout in which another photoelectric sensor is arranged close to the board detection sensor. In addition to the instantaneous disturbance light caused by the patrol light, light from another photoelectric sensor may interfere with the substrate detection sensor as disturbance light.
[0040]
Therefore, in order to distinguish from these other photoelectric sensors and prevent interference by other photoelectric sensors beforehand, the substrate detection sensor generates disturbance light from other photoelectric sensors or reflected light from the wiring board 5. In any case, the light emission timing of the

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, a light projecting element, a light projecting lens, a light receiving element and a light receiving lens are provided, and by using a triangulation method, it is determined whether or not a substrate exists at a position separated from the light projecting element by a predetermined distance. A substrate detection sensor for detecting, by irradiating the light from the light projecting element onto the substrate through a light projecting lens to generate an elliptical detection point, the reflected light reflected at the detection point to a light receiving lens When the image is formed on the light-receiving element through the sensor, the sensor detection position can be detected even if there are notches or mounting holes formed on the substrate, or if there is another object with high reflectivity behind the substrate. The substrate can be reliably detected without adjusting the distance, and the reliability is greatly improved.
