Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing release paper having good printing suitability, writing suitability, stamping suitability and ink-jet printing suitability and partially provided with release agent layers.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the release paper is carried out as follows. A blowoff port 3 of a die-coating head 2 for coating a permeation preventing agent is arranged oppositely to a transfer passage of continuous paper 1 and deckles 4 and 4a are set in the blowoff port 3 in other parts than those corresponding to expected parts for providing a release agent of the continuous paper 1 in the blowoff port 3. Thereby, a closed state is obtained. The permeation preventing agent is resultantly coated corresponding to the expected parts for providing the release agent while transferring the continuous paper 1 to form the permeation preventing layers 5. The top surfaces of the permeation preventing layers 5 are then coated with the release agent to partially form release agent layers. The paper is then cut to a prescribed size.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a release paper is known in which a release agent layer is partially formed on at least one surface side of a paper.
Generally, in release paper, in order to prevent the release agent from penetrating into the paper, the release agent layer is formed on top of the penetration inhibitor layer. A resin such as polyethylene is used as the permeation-preventing agent, which is usually laminated or coated. In the conventional release paper in which the release agent layer is partially formed, the penetration preventive agent layer is formed on the entire surface of the paper due to technical problems.

In recent years, it has become necessary to display information on the release agent layer installation surface side of this type of release paper. For example,
When using the release paper as a stub for receipt after affixing the sticky note to a delivery item in a delivery slip in which an adhesive is applied on the partial release agent layer of the release paper and the sticky notes are stuck together There is. In this case, since the release agent layer portion of the release paper is difficult to display information in terms of writability, printability, or printability, the non-release agent layer portion, that is, the exposed portion of the permeation-preventing agent layer is used as a stub. It is usual to print the necessary items as a receipt here in advance, enter the amount and date of receipt at the time of receipt with an appropriate writing tool, and stamp the receipt stamp.

However, the permeation-preventing agent layer is slow in ink setting because of its high solvent barrier property, and is not good in terms of printability and printability. For example, when printing with an ink jet ink on the permeation-preventing agent layer, the ink bleeds and is difficult to read. On the other hand, when the solvent barrier property is lowered in order to improve printability or printability, a large amount of a release agent must be applied, which is not profitable in terms of cost and requires more release force than necessary. It becomes difficult to put it into practical use.

In the present invention, first, the blow-out port of the die coating head for coating the permeation-preventing agent is arranged so as to face the transfer path of the continuous paper, and at the portion where the release agent of the continuous paper is to be installed in the blow-out port. The permeation-preventing agent layer is formed by coating the permeation-preventing agent corresponding to the portion where the release agent is to be installed on the continuous paper by setting the closed state except the corresponding portion. In order to close the portion other than the portion corresponding to the release agent installation planned portion of the continuous paper in the blowout port, for example, a duckel having a width corresponding to the sealing width is set in the die coating head (see FIG. 1). (See), or the film may be closed with a film having a width corresponding to the width to be closed. The continuous paper can be transferred by using a known transfer unit such as a transfer roller.

Further, depending on the thickness of the continuous paper and the like, wrinkles occur due to the difference in expansion and contraction between the coated portion and the non-coated portion of the permeation-preventing agent in the process of drying after coating the water-based permeation-preventing agent. There are cases. In order to prevent such a phenomenon, water is spotted from the back side of the non-coated part with a sponge, etc., or water is sprayed to prevent the water content of the part to be coated with the water-based penetration inhibitor. All you have to do is balance. Also,
When the aforementioned wrinkles are insignificant, the calender can eliminate the wrinkles and improve the smoothness.
