球を配設すると、ほこりが電球周囲にたまるため、火災
の原因にならない様にほこりよけのカバーを付けるなど
の対策が必要になることや、電球が器具裏面の天井側に
あるため、電球交換がやりづらいなど、不利益をともな
う。室内用照明器具が天井直付形である場合は、常夜灯
点灯時に、器具内の主光源(たとえば環状蛍光ランプ)
や他の部品により、下面側の透光カバーへ奇妙な影が映
り込む子とがある。また、主光源の灯数が多い場合、常
夜灯を備えるためのスペースが限られ、配設する場所の
検討するのに手間がかる。本発明は、常夜灯の光が直接
目に入らずソフトになり、明るすぎることが軽減され、
ほこりが積もっても火災などの原因にならず、主光源の
交換の手間も軽減され、常夜灯による影の心配のない室

用いて説明する。本発明に係る室内用照明器具は天井面
と向き合うバックボーン1を備える。各回路部品を搭載
する基板であってバクボーンの下面側に配置する回路基
板2を備える。回路基板2の上面側に装着されかつ該回
路基板2に対して配線される発光ダイオード4を備え
る。発光ダイオード4は上向き光を投射する姿勢であ
る。発光ダイオード4の上向き光がバクボーン1に遮蔽
されずに前記天井面側へ向かう。説明を補足する。バッ
クボーン1に、回路基板2を組み込んだ絶縁ケース3が
取り付ける。絶縁ケース2に組み込んだ回路基板3をバ
ックボーン1に取り付けると、回路基板2の上面側に搭
載された発光ダイオード4の一部が、バックボーン1に
設けたしぼり穴5から上向きに露出する。発光ダイオー
ド4を現状よりも低所に配置し、その光が5に相当する
透光孔を介して放射するようにしても、上向き透光上は
同効である。図2に発光ダイオード4の一部を上向きに
突出させるためのしぼり穴5の詳細を示す。絶縁ケース
2に組み込んだ回路基板3をバックボーン1に取り付け
る時に、発光ダイオード4の位置が決まり易くするた
め、皿形状に形成したしぼり穴5を設け、ほこりなどが
入らないように、パッキン9が穴5付近に貼り付ける。
図示の室内用照明器具は天井直付け形器具(シーリング
ライト)であるが、天井吊下げ形器具においても同効で
ある。本実施例によれば次の利点が生まれる。発光ダイ
オード(常夜灯)4の光が直接目に入らずソフトにな
り、明るすぎることが軽減される。発光ダイオード4が
低温であるために、ほこりが積もっても、火災などの原
因にならず、ランプ交換の手間も軽減される。常夜灯4
による器具内部部品の奇妙な影の心配がない。蛍光ラン
プ7などが邪魔になって常夜灯4を配置しにくいという
心配がない。回路基板3に搭載しているため、常夜灯用
