And the eyepiece optical system 6 is long. With such a configuration, the eyepiece optical system 6 requires an optical system having a long back focus. Therefore, in order to obtain an electronic viewfinder having a wide viewing angle and having a good visibility, a large number of lenses are required and the size becomes large. However, it is very difficult to use such an electronic viewfinder as a viewfinder of a camera due to space problems.

The converted optical path length can be shortened, and a wide view angle and a good viewfinder can be realized with a smaller number of lenses than in the case where the illumination optical system is configured by a half mirror. Further, by providing a curved surface on the surface of the optical path splitting means on the side of the eyepiece optical system, aberration correction is performed, and the number of lenses of the eyepiece optical system can be further reduced. Further, the Fresnel lens is integrally molded toward the illuminating means of the optical path splitting means, and a curved surface is provided on the side of the optical path splitting means facing the display means so as to satisfy the conditional expression (1). It is possible to reduce the size and uniformly illuminate the reflective liquid crystal.
