Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a vehicular rolling bearing device wherein a heavy load acting on balls as rolling elements, in particular balls of an inner row, causes a heavy load acting on a bowled outer ring member with a raceway surface for the balls, and resultantly, a shaft part formed into a hollow section for lightness is liable to strain with vehicle travel. SOLUTION: In a vehicular rolling bearing device 1, when a shaft part 9 of a bowled outer ring member 10 is formed, turning is carried out to leave a support wall 35 within a region enclosed by a radial centerline p1 between balls 3 and 4 of two rows and contact angle extension lines p2 from the balls 4 of the inner row, so that even when a heavy load acts in particular on the balls 4 of the inner row, supporting force of the support wall 35 can prevent the bowled outer ring member 10 from straining to ensure smooth rolling motion of the balls 3 and 4 for a long period, and that a hollow section on both sides of the support wall 35 suppresses increase in weight to preclude increase in rotating torque.

A means for solving the problems in the present invention is to provide an outer ring member which is non-rotatably supported on the vehicle body side, and a shaft which is provided on the outer ring member via rolling elements of a vehicle outer side row and a vehicle inner side row. A cylindrical inner ring having an inner ring member rotatably supported around the center, the outer ring surface being the inner ring raceway surface of the rolling elements of the vehicle outer side row, and having a mounting flange for mounting the wheel. The member and the outer peripheral surface thereof are the inner ring raceway surfaces of the rolling elements of the vehicle inner side row, and are rotatably integrated with the tubular inner ring member via the shaft portion inserted into the central hole of the tubular inner ring member, etc. It is composed of a bowl-shaped outer ring member of a universal joint, and is composed of a radial centerline between rolling elements of each row and a contact angle extension line of rolling elements of the vehicle inner side row on the inner peripheral surface of the shaft portion. Within the enclosed range, load the load transmitted from the rolling element Support member in the radial direction for lifting is provided, at least the vehicle outer side of the support member in the shaft portion is a hollow section.

As described above, the diameter of the inner peripheral surface of the shaft portion is defined by the radial center line between the rolling elements in each row and the contact angle extension line of the rolling elements in the vehicle inner side row. By providing a support member along the direction and having a hollow section at least on the vehicle outer side of the support member in the shaft portion, the weight of the shaft portion is not particularly increased and the load load transmitted from the rolling elements is supported. The member can receive and prevent the strain deformation of the shaft portion.

A female spline is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the hub wheel 8 over substantially the entire length in the direction of the axis 5.
A male spline having substantially the same length as the female spline is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft portion 9. The shaft portion 9 is fitted (internally fitted) to the hub wheel 8 so that the male spline is press-fitted into the female spline. The outer side end portion of the shaft portion 9 on the vehicle outer side is radially outwardly expanded, and the end portion of the hub wheel 8 is caulked, so that the bowl-shaped outer ring member 10 and the hub wheel 8 are aligned with each other. It is connected to rotate around.

Further, the support wall 35 is formed such that the outer diameter side thereof, that is, the width of the base portion 35a (the length in the direction of the axis 5) is the widest, and the width becomes gradually narrower as it approaches the axis 5.
Since the central portion 35b located at the center of the support wall 35 in the direction of the axis 5 and in the center of the radial direction is formed to have the narrowest width,
It is formed in a shape that does not increase the weight of the vehicle rolling bearing device 1. In this embodiment, the support wall 3
The vehicle outer side of the base portion 35a of 5 slightly protrudes from the range surrounded by the center line p1 and the contact angle extension line p2, but does not adversely affect the substantial support force of the support wall 35.

In the rolling bearing device 1 for a vehicle as described above, a large load is applied to the balls 3 in both rows, particularly the balls 4 in the other row. Therefore, the shaft portion 9 of the bowl-shaped outer ring member 10
When forming the ball, the radial center line p between the balls 3 and 4 in each row is formed.
Turning is performed so that the support wall 35 remains within a range surrounded by 1 and the contact angle extension line p2 of the balls 4 in the other row. The support wall 35 substantially coincides with the radial surface passing through the centers of the balls 4 in the other row.

By forming the support wall 35 at such a position, even when a large load is applied to the balls 3 in both rows, particularly the ball 4 in the other row, the support wall 35 is formed.
With the supporting force of 1, the bowl-shaped outer ring member 10 can be prevented from being distorted, and the balls 3 and 4 can be smoothly rolled.
Further, the support wall 35 is left on the shaft portion 9 and the both sides thereof have a hollow cross section, so that the weight of the bowl-shaped outer ring member 10 is prevented from significantly increasing, whereby the rotational torque of the inner ring member 6 is particularly increased. There is nothing to do.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described based on the sectional view of FIG. This rolling bearing device for vehicle 1
However, the rolling bearing device for a vehicle 1 according to the first embodiment described above.
A different configuration will be described. In the rolling bearing device for a vehicle 1 according to the first embodiment described above, the support wall 35 is formed at a position that substantially coincides with the radial surface that passes through the center of the balls 4 in the other row. In the rolling bearing device 1 for a vehicle according to the embodiment, the base portion 35a on the outer diameter side of the support wall 35 and the central portion 35b are all the radial centerline p1 between the balls 3 and 4 in each row, and the balls in the other row. The difference is that it is located within a range surrounded by the contact angle extension line p2 of FIG. Since other configurations are similar to those of the first embodiment, the same reference numerals are given and the description thereof is omitted.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, in the above embodiments, the support wall 3
5 is formed by turning the inside of the shaft portion 9 on the vehicle inner side and the vehicle outer side and leaving a part thereof, but the invention is not limited to this. That is, all the shaft portions 9 are formed (cut) into a hollow cross section, and within a range surrounded by the radial centerline p1 between the balls 3 and 4 in each row and the contact angle extension line p2 of the balls 4 in the other row. In addition, a support wall 35, which is as light as possible and has a sufficient supporting force, which is a member different from the shaft portion 9 and which is formed in a disc shape, for example, may be fitted (internally fitted) to the shaft portion 9. . In this case as well, the same operational effect as each of the above-described embodiments can be obtained.

A cylindrical inner ring member and a bowl-shaped outer ring member that is integrally assembled with the cylindrical inner ring member through a shaft portion that is inserted into the center hole of the shaft, and the radial center of the inner peripheral surface of the shaft portion between the rolling elements in each row. The support member along the radial direction is provided within the range surrounded by the line and the contact angle extension line of the rolling element of the vehicle inner side row, and at least the vehicle outer side of the support member in the shaft portion has a hollow cross section. It does not increase the weight of the Receiving Waru load load supporting member can be prevented strain deformation of the shaft portion may smoothly performed rolling over the rolling of the moving object in time.
