However, in the above-mentioned conventional example, the insulating coating of the power supply line moves due to the frictional resistance when the power supply line is inserted into the hollow portion and moved, and the size of the exposed portion of the core wire changes. However, there is a problem that a situation may occur in which repair is required. Further, when the holder is made of rubber, there is a problem that the exposed core wire breaks through the rubber holder. Further, in recent years, there has been a problem that assembly workability has been remarkably reduced due to downsizing of the discharge lamp and the holder. Therefore, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, the present invention provides a slit or cut that can be opened and closed in the holder, and a portion extending from the slit or the cut to the inner end of the power supply line inside the holder. It is an object of the present invention to improve the assembling workability of the discharge lamp lighting device by placing it in a predetermined position.

Next, a discharge lamp lighting device using the holder for a discharge lamp lighting device according to the present embodiment will be described. Thickness about 0.5 mm, outer diameter about 1.6 ~
The discharge lamp 2 having a thin wall and a small diameter of about 5.8 milliliters is penetrated through the internal electrodes 9 and led out to the outside, and the outer end of the led-out external lead-in wire 10 is exposed. It is electrically connected to the core wire by soldering 11. The connection between the external lead-in wire 10 and the exposed core wire of the power supply wire 5 is not limited to the soldering 11, and means such as welding or caulking may be used. After electrically connecting the external lead-in wire 10 and the exposed core wire of the power feed wire 5, as shown in FIG. 2, the slit 8 of the holder 1 is expanded and the end of the discharge lamp 2 is inserted into the holder 1 through the slit 8. Insert a part extending from the inner end of the power supply line 5 to. That is, the external lead-in wire 10 is placed at a position corresponding to the corner of the holder 1, the end of the discharge lamp 2 is placed inside the tube portion 4, and the inner end of the power supply line 5 is placed inside the tube portion 7, respectively. . In this case, the external lead-in wire 10 may or may not be pre-bent as shown in FIG. Since the holder 1 is made of an elastic material, the end portion of the discharge lamp 2 is in close contact with the inner wall surface of the tubular portion 4, and the inner end portion of the power supply line 5 is in close contact with the inner wall surface of the tubular portion 7.
A portion of the holder 1 extending from the end of the discharge lamp 2 to the inner end of the power supply line 5 is covered. A connector 12 is connected to the outer end of the power supply line 5. In the discharge lamp illuminating device having such a configuration, the discharge lamp 2 is arranged in the bottomed case so that light can be incident from one end surface of the light guide plate, and the electric current flowing from the external power source is fed through the connector 12 to the power supply line 5. And discharge lamp 2 is turned on.

Another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. The difference from the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 described above is that a cut 13 that can be opened and closed along the axial direction is provided on the inner corner side of the holder 1. Similar to the above-described embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, after connecting the external lead-in wire 10 and the exposed core wire of the power supply wire 5, the cut 13 is expanded and the discharge lamp 2 is expanded from this expanded portion. A portion extending from the end portion to the inner end portion of the power supply line 5 is put in the holder 1 to obtain a discharge lamp lighting device.

According to the present invention, the slit or notch provided in the holder allows a portion extending from the end of the discharge lamp to the inner end of the power supply line to be inserted. Since it does not move, there is no need for repairs, cost can be reduced, and workability does not deteriorate even if the discharge lamp and the holder are downsized. Further, there is an effect that the step of inserting the power supply wire into the hollow portion of the holder as in the conventional case is eliminated, the workability is further improved, and as a result, the cost of the product can be reduced. Further, when the holder is made of rubber, there is an effect that the rubber holder is not damaged by being pierced.
